Looks like y'all are getting sick of Tyra Banks' schtick!
According to the just-released ratings, the two-hour Top Model premiere was down 11% from the February cycle and a hefty 32% less than the September 2007 series prem.
We're guessing the suits aren't liking these double digit drop offs.
The show totally sucks big balls these days, huh????
How many of their 'models' have gone on to hit it big?

I am not surprised every show reaches its peak! Look at American Idol, Freinds etc. They all hit a wall soon! At least she has osmething fall back on if ANTM is taken off the air. She was smart enough to diversify into other projects and production, very smart girl!

i watched the show- it is kind of disgusted me- the girls she choses to partake in this. They are hood rats with no class- no true classic beauty. Until she changes the type of girls she goes after there will never be a model that lasts- no cindy crawford that's for sure.
i still enjoy her show. watched it last nite. but i really didnt like the whole futuristic crap they were trying to pull off. that was beyond stupid

it's no different then any other season… mindless entertainment that you need every once in awhile… plus the soup will be hilarious this week!

ANTM, while extremely facile (not to mention corny to the max), is admittedly entertaining. At the very least, my friends and I have fun picking out which of the contestants we'd most like to get in the sack. haha

Tyra has officially LOST IT!!! That futuristic theme she was pushing was just plain LAME!!! Not entertaining, not funny, not cool (despite the special effets)… I love the shoots and the drama between the girls can be mildly interesting… but honestly how much more could Tyra love herself??? I'm sure in their 11th cycle they're finding it hard to come up with new ideas, but really? that the best you could do? Alpha Jay and Beta Jay? Tyra-bot? LAAAAAAAAAME!!! What are they smoking? Stop trying to be Oprah Tyra, you're just NOT!
Well it is Tyra herself that I do not like. She is loud, interuptive if the spotlight is not on her, and really immature. I really think this is what people are tired of.
Stop Hating on Tyra, To be a supemodel and come up with the concept is a very savvy thing. So what the numbers were not on point…it happens.

It's not as if the show ever produces an actual "TOP MODEL"….None of these girls have ever shown up on a significant magazine cover. The only time you see the winners is on the Cover Girl commercials that run during the show's commercial breaks. Top Model? bullshiz
they really should have advertised it more, i maybe saw 1 commercial for it and that was it! good to know it's on now though, been looking for something to watch since the olympics were over other than Project Runway and Top Design and Moment of Truth!

I love Tyra! She is not fake. She has a camp for young girls to help them with their self esteem folr christ sakes! I am not saying I like know her personally but ease off sheesh. As far as her ANTM show I love it!!! I hope they wont cancel it.
ANTM is a superfun show! Don't count on it disappearing anytime soon……It is funny to watch catty girls argue about nothing….and the hair & makeup is always so fun!

I still love Canada's next top model and I like Canadia Idol better than American due to more diversity of music (not all hip hop and r and b). I watched ANTM yesterday and it wasnt bad.
She has eyes like a dead fish and a smile as phony. All previous seasons the girls were too "tranny" looking. Now a real tranny is on, and not a "tranny" comment from any of the judges. Seriously, the tranny guy is butt ugly, as in, he's definitely no Tula. Look her up. Now she is one hot girl (ex boy)
i loved the premiere. i think this season is one of the bests already. cycles 9 and 10 sucked mucho ass!!!!

I LOVE the show, and never miss and episode. Who cares if the models go on to do much (you see them now and then in magazines - who watches runway shows anyway?) The show itself is fun to watch.
If it wasn't for this show, we wouldn't have had Adrienne meet a Brady!

I quit watching. I mean, no "reality" show is a true competition, but at least they could pretend to hide that they have the winner picked out before the show taping begins.
Re: so_much_joy – I totally agree..the whole thing was lame and the special effects were cheesy at best. I think that the main problem with Top Model is the fact that we all know that the best one never wins. It has been a consistent issue with ANTM, Tyra always chooses the girl that fits her agenda (with a couple of exceptions). Another problem is the judges, i think that Nigel Barker should be retired and replaced with someone with a more objective eye. To top it off, they are always asking the girls for contradictory stuff. They want a girl who is "couture" and not commercial but..HELLOOO, you have to be commercial to be a Cover Girl!!! So they either concentrate on purely high fashion or purely commercial.
…It's time for "America's Next Top Male Model". "Sometimes" you need to change it up a bit.
