Dr. Laura's Anti-Palin

The Right's Dr. Laura, the homophobic radio host, plans to vote for John McCain, but….
She's not pleased with the choice of Sarah Palin as VP.
The doc took to her blog and slammed Palin by calling her an unsuitable role model:
I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didn’t want a “mature” woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?

I so agree with her, I like Sarah don't get me wrong but, she will not be able to be a good mom and be V.P! It is a fact and those who think otherwise do not have young children or have forgotten how hard it is to be a mom and have a full time regular job. I have a high executive job, have a nanny, my mom and my husband works shifts different then mine to help with the baby and still that little girl still needs and wants her mommy she is going to be 9 months and still even as adults we all know that mommy always makes us feel better.
Does anyone really care what this whack, hack-job says anymore? Or ever for that matter? Sarah is the shizzzzz right now; Dr. Laura is a never-was.

My daughter died of trisomy 18 and all mothers of these children are heroes! going through what she went through with that baby, the emotional ups and downs-it's made her a hell of alot stronger than DR LAURA will ever hope to be. She needs to stick to things that are relevant and stop passing judgements on Palin just becausae she is a mother. If she was a father you wouldn't say ANYTHING about her running for vice presidency!

I'm not a fan of Palin's but it really annoys me when I see people judging the way she's handling her bidness. No one has the right to say when she should go back to work after having a baby with down syndrome. That is for her to decide. Her world can't stop just because she had a baby with special needs. To say that her going back to work so soon after having a baby makes her a bad role model is unfair. Either way… VOTE OBAMA!!!
I am disgusted by the sexist attacks that are coming towards Pallin, but especially disgusted by the fact that harshest attacks are coming from woman. The statements that these woman are making are ones that you would expect to hear from men in the 1950's. Though I do not agree with Pallin's stance on many issues, nor do I believe that i will vote for her ticket, I respect her many accomplishments and her right to run. Pallin is fortunate enough to have a husband who will be able to be the primary caretake while she is in office. Though it maybe a reverse in gender roles, I hope that we as Americans are not so backwards in our train of thought that we will reject and condemn her unconventional lifestyle.

I got to agree with her. I grew up with a working mom, and always wished I could have my mom at home. If you can stay home, it is better on the kids. Mom or dad, but a parent always in the house DOES make a difference.
Not taking at-least 6 weeks off after giving birth is a lil scary though.

Palin was a quick poll boosting gut reaction that took 2 days, while Biden was a carefully considered well researched decision in a 2 month process. This alone should tell you who has better approach and decision making skills to lead this country in the right direction. It's not a coincidence that Mccain is talking about change, he just now realizes that that's what people want. By the time he actually develops a plan, the election will be over.
