She's a U.S. government diplomat, y'all!
Cancer survivor Fran "the Nanny" Drescher will be appointed as a public diplomacy envoy by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Goli Ameri, on Monday.
Diplomat Drescher will join past envoys baseball star Cal Ripkin Jr. and ice skater Michelle Kwan.
Her duties will include working with health organizations and women’s groups to raise awareness of women’s health issues, cancer awareness and detection, and patient empowerment and advocacy.

This is great news. This woman is so smart! I loved the way she handled Hasselbeck on that call in during that racism controversy, making a fool of her yet coming off with class. I can't wait to see what else she can do, she really has my respect.
