90210 (2.0) Can't Sustain The Heat

Even though 90210 (2.0) was the highest rated show for Women 18-34 on Tuesday, its ratings future is looking a little bleak because it lost A LOT of viewers in its second week out.
This week, the show slipped 30 percent from its premiere among Men and Women aged 18-34 and 35 percent among Men and Women 18-49.
What can the show do to attract new viewers?
Are U planning on sticking with the 90210 (2.0)???

It's not such a bad show..but all I can think about is where is Donna? The show should not exist without her. I realize she held out for more money, but she deserves it. Her freaking father is the reason they all have jobs. Give her a little respect.
And who the eff actually takes a girl on their first date to San Francisco via private jet? I don't think so!!!
Bring back Mrs. Taylor's coke addiction — "…and what about those models?"
I love it! I was looking forward to it for so long. I admit I was a little upset with the first episode, but I'm so into it now. It's getting juicier and I love it! I hope it stays on. And all you haters need to just turn the channel and quit bitching about it!
I'm watching now, and I've got to call out the writers: a lot of the script is cliché-dated.

This is very 1986 and it was mostly uttered by 8-12 year olds. It's not believable from a "16" yr old male in Los Angeles in 2008.

Please bring more current issues to the forefront with the writing, and reward the interesting actors with more scenes.
Where are the bad boys? The male cast is like something from a gay men's choir. If I wanted this I'd just go see Naked Boys Singing.

this show shouldn't and can't make it due to the fact that it's up against intriguing and intelligent shows like House and Fringe.
They should have never tried to re-do a classic. Besides, do we really belive that Kelly returned to West Beverly as a high school counselor? Come on….

I've totally seen this kind of show before!!! I am a HUGE fan of THE-N channel and watch their shows RELIGIOUSLY (btw Perez you were GREAT on Queen Bees!)
This "new 90210" is EXACTLY like Degrassi (the whole new cast of kids/old cast of adults) and SOUTH OF NOWHERE (with the whole white family adopted black son, moving from small town thing) combined. So its not fresh. Its not original.

Well heres my take on it. The pilot I thought was fuckin cool because it was an introduction to the characters. It was like yah, here are the kids and what they are about. They're pretty much materialistic and superficial but you expect that in the first episode. Last night's episode, I thought it was boring for the simple fact nothing was substantial besides Kelly and her mother happened. The whole 45 min eppie had everyone walking the halls, asking each other what they were going to do for the night! "I'm going bowling" "I'm going to this party" There wasn't any serious dialogue besides who's the baby daddy (which i think its Dylan McKay that sexy beast). Naomi's storyline could have been better because we all seen that happen already with Donna at the Belage hotel (I even fuckin remember the hotel thats how hardcore a fan I am of the original) Instead of Naomi, acting like Donna, who was a punk anyway, she should have went off on the dad, the chick, shit…someone! Kick someone's ass! Annie, is the only one I think is miscast, homegurl is way too Disney. I feel everyone on the acting but thats because I think the writing is terrible. Everyone's line from the parents to the high school kids are just "hey what time your coming home, we're having family night…" "come to this party" Um yah, its going to continue to blow if it keeps going on that way.
No thanks. I got through the first hour of the premiere and was so bored.
If it's ever on during a decent time in Chicago, I might watch it, but so far it's been on after 1030 each time it's been on because of the Cubs games and the local news.
I love the crazy plot lines, but the acting is annoyingly cheesy. I may have only been 15 when the original show started, but I don't remember the acting being this bad! That lead chick needs some acting lessons quick!

I grew up with the original and planned to watch this is only for Brenda. I missed the first episode and watched a minute of the second. I had no interest. Now if they get rid of the kids and focus on the originals, I would watch.
F.Y.I. 90210 is rerun Wednesday nights at 8 or 9. I watched Fringe (which was an excellent show)and I am dVR-ing 90210 tonight. I think that the characters are somewhat dumb, but I am a stay at home Mom with not much to do after the kids go to bed. I will def. watch while its on.
I will give it a bit longer it is descent as long as the keep JENNIE and SHANNON longer i really enjoy seeying them lol and we need to BRING TORI BACK!
I think it needs room to grow. I didn't watch the 2nd episode yet, but I tivo'd it and plan to watch it later. It drives me crazy that the blonde chick looks nothing like her mom. Horrible casting there…in my opinion.
i like it plus the guy who plays Ty Colliin is hot and thier storylines are pretty ok
I LOOOOOOVE 90210! why cant people see that they take things up that is important to young adults today, like drug problems, family feuds, cheating parents, alcoholic parents etc. this is a great show and very good actors! mondays and tuesdays are my fave-days, GG and 90210!
I personally thought it was lame!!! Pathetic story lines and it just doesnt have the same vibe to it like the origninal! no chemistry between cast mates, seems so juvi!!!!!!

I will definitely tune in to watch 90210. Come on ya'll we have to give it a little bit of time for the drama to set in.
It's problem was that in the first episode, it had too many story lines going on. It seems to have settled in a little bit, but the only great character on the show is played by Sinead Grimes.
Glad Brenda's not gonna be on much.
I probably won't care to watch it once Brenda leaves (again).
Ironic how the only reason why I even bother with 90210 is because of Brenda, and she's always the first character to leave!
I have to say. I liked the original 90210 as well. and I think the acting in this one is horrible…IF I WASN"T A HUGE FAN OF HBO's THE WIRE I would think that the younger cast can't act as well…but I have seen the DIXON character Act in THE WIRE he is EXCELLENT. I think the writing for the show is crap and unbelievable and the directing isn't any better. I think it has more to do with the production team than with the individual actors themselves…i can't speak for all of them but Tristan Wilds- who plays DIXON is extremely talented…check him out in THE WIRE..he is excellent.
dunno why they wanted to recreate this series anyway…theres a reason it ended!

I recently graduated from one of the most exclusive private schools in Los Angeles. I also had many friends who attended and still attend Beverly Hills High. The way the show portrays kids from the "90210" zip code is false and couldn't be any more wrong, I could barely watch the first episode due to its lack of original plot and bad acting. Life for a teenager in Beverly Hills is hardly what the producers make it seem. Although there are kids in Mercedes' and Range Rovers, many kids that actually go to BH high are not wealthy at all. The spawns of the rich and famous usually go to the private schools like mine which run from $20,000 a year to $26,000. I think the show should've done more research and realized that 15-16 year old kids that live in Beverly Hills hang out at century city mall, not the local nightclub buying drinks.
It just started over here in Australia, and it sucked! I have only heard bad comments about the show! I hate it!
I have watched the 2 episodes of it and I think I'm going to pass! I was a big fan of the original 90210, but this one is horrible.
they can not hold a candle to "the secrete life of the american teenager" on abc family on tuesday at 8:00 e/t, but the season finale was this week so maybe they will do better next week!!!
