Dolly Saves The Day

Talk about a true performer!
Dolly Parton's 9 to 5: The Musical premiered in Los Angeles Tuesday night with some minor glitches, but one big surprise.
The Diva was there set to introduce the show!
Dolly welcomed the audience and engaged them for a bit, and when one devoted fan called out “I love you Dolly,” she quickly responded “I told you to wait in the truck!”
She then added that since it was the first showing there might be "some stopping and starting", however she promised to “get up and do a show if that happens.”
The first act started and about halfway through, the moving set came to a stop.
After a moment of silence, Parton's voice sounded through saying, "Uh Oh".
That's when she kept her promise, got on stage, answered some audience questions and started to perform!
She did 9 to 5 and I Will Always Love You.
What a trooper!!!
Miz Parton also said that her favorite song might be Backwoods Barbie, but added that she “loves all the songs like my children and just like my children, I expect them to support me someday.”
The show then started up again and all was well.
Wish we could have been there!

Love Dolly
You cannot help but love Dolly. I hope 100 years from now, people still listen to her.
dolly is such a fierce bitch…plus she'll put an eye out with those titties…
Why? Did she shear off and donate some tata meat to the soup kitchen which ran out of grub?
Love her! She is as nice as can be, talented, and totally real and giving. Everyone in LA go see the show!
Dolly Parton may joke that she is white trash but she is truly a class act. The world could use more people like her and there are a lot of people in Hollywood who should take lessons from her on how to be a celebrity.
I just love her! She has such a great sense of humor, and positive attitude!
Just when I think I can't love her anymore than I already do…
Oh, Miss Parton. You are exceptional!

…she is as funny as she is talented. I'd like her as my neighbor.
Can't imagine a world without Dolly. Hope the show is a HUGE hit. Hope Dolly does some more movies. I REALLY hope Dolly meets Jessica Simpson and clubs her to death with a platform shoe…
Larry the Cable guy used that joke over a year ago
I love Dolly! She is as sincere as she seems to be I am sure! Rare in Hollywood.
Re: K.P ..SO FEROSH – you have boobs like hers! smile
A true professional keeping her word, good for her!
Larry the Cable Guy made that same joke "I told you to wait in the truck" during one of his shows a while ago.
i love dolly.
i love her so much.
Go you old tranny! Perez, you are a mess, you love Dolly and who doesn't but you say Cindy McCain looks like the crypt keeper, like Dolly looks like a porcelin doll.
Dolly supports McCain/Palin, reconcile that!
love her. larry the cable did use the joke but it's a red neck joke so she claims usage rights and it's so good it still works. stop being petty. she's awesome. i have an aunt from WVA who lived for a while in CA and came back looking like her with red/auburn hair. I still like her best–she had a punk rocker once ask her how her hair was so big at the mall and she honestly replied "Aquanet."
I love Dolly Parton!

Go Dolly!!! You Rock
I am from Tennessee, and have grown up listening and watching Dolly. I am 34 years old, and now married to a black man, and our bi-racacial daughter has never really heard country music, until Hannah Montana came out, and on the show, Dolly is Hannah's God Mother "Aunt Dolly", and my daughter-5yr old- LOVES DOLLY !! The 1st time she seen Dolly, she said, "Mommy, that lady is so skinny, but she is so beautiful !!"..this article is really nice, and funny, I see how Dolly's personality can turn a "bad" performance to a very intertaining one. Thanks for this story…i love you paris !!! **kisses**
