"Spa town erects enema statue"

A TOWN in southern Russia has erected a monument in the shape of an enema to celebrate the famous medical procedure.
The bronze syringe bulb statue held by three angels was unveiled in the city of Zheleznovodsk, a region known for dozens of spas where enemas with water from mineral springs are routinely administered to treat digestive and other complaints.
Standing at one and a half metres and weighing 400kg, the $44,000 sculpture was installed in a square in front of the Mashuk-Akva Term spa, with a banner declaring: "Let's beat constipation and sloppiness with enemas".
"There is no kitsch or obscenity, it is a successful work of art," said spa director Alexander Kharchenko.
"An enema is almost a symbol of our region."
The monument was designed with "irony and humour", said sculptor Svetlana Avakina, who modelled the angels on the works of Italian Renaissance painter Alessandro Botticelli.
Ms Avakina hopes to promote the sculpture as a brand and turn it into a franchise with souvenirs and awards for medical doctors.
"This device is eternal, it will never change," she said.

Mayor of a town smaller than any place I have lived in. And I have lived in many small towns. Political experience limited to the few years she was mayor and her now 19 months as Governor of Alaska. All of this versus a man with an Ivy League education having attended and graduated from Columbia University and Harvard University. Attended Harvard Law School on an ACADEMIC scholarship. First African-American in the hostory of the Harvard Law Review to be it's president. A community organizer helping people get job training and benefits. Practicing Civil Rights attorney. Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago. Elected to the State Senate of Illnois followed by the US Senate for Illinois.

As for John McCain, here's my major issue with him. He can't keep anythign straight. He says one thing, then says another. He is constantly contradicting himself. And even when you pull out the proof, he still acts like he didn't contradict himself. Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. But damn, can you at least be consistent with what you say and believe? If you had a change for a reason, say that. Perez, this picture was every where on the web weeks ago. You need to get an assistant or stay up with the current gossip. I used to come here to get the latest… I can't say that know.
