Lefty Comedian Finalist for Minnesota Senate

Saturday Night Live alum Al Franken won the Democratic nomination for a U.S. senatorial seat in Minnesota on Tuesday night.

He'll be facing off against incumbent Norm Coleman, a Republican, this November.

It's going to be a battle to the finish.

Both men have reportedly stockpiled 'millions' to spend on ads and stuff for the final leg of the campaign.

      You know, I love Al Franken and used to listen to his radio show on occasion, and feel he will make a great Senator…. but if you really look at the stances he takes on many subjects you'll see that he isn't very far left of center.

      I'm no communist, but Franken is a little too close to center for my liking…. which is probably a good thing for the country. If everyone were as partisan as I am, congress would be at an impasse…. kinda like it is right now.
