Mischa Barton was actually working on a new movie - with some semi big names in the cast. But, the flick, Virgin Territory, is so shiteous that it was dumped straight to DVD!
Virgin Territory is based on Giovanni Boccaccio's novel, The Decameron.
It was adapted by David Leland to make it to the big screens, but it didn't turn out that way.
It co-stars Hayden Christensen and Tim Roth alongside Mushy Fartone.
Somehow we ave a feeling that it was Mushy's role that caused the movie to bomb!
The film did get released last year in France under the name Medieval Pie: Territoires Vierges, but it received very poor reviews.
The DVD, which just got released last month in the US, has received criticism as well.
The film is described as being "adapted and directed by David Leland to become some sort of hip teen version of the 14th century. The attempt to mix rock music with a period film was last attempted with A Knight’s Tale, which shares some similarities to Virgin Territory, although Hayden Christensen is no Heath Ledger. Along with an absurdly dumb bit of voiceover dialogue, the cast also seems specifically directed at a younger audience, often less concerned with acting abilities and more with how cute the actor is. Barton has been working hard to build a film career since she was killed from television, but trading upon looks can only last. Barton is so painfully bad regardless of the director that Christensen ends up looking great in comparison."
Check out the DVD it in the upcoming months in Walmart's dollar bin DVDs.

i'm in the uk at the moment, and literally yesterday saw that film in the hmv store under new releases. i was like 'what the hell is this?? i never heard she did this movie!'…it had her and hayden christensen on the front, and just from the cover photo you could tell it is most likely an over-acted, poorly-made, cheezy fantasy, and all-round shiteous film. she, particularly, looked so out of place in a period costume (the 21st century hair style doesn't help!), whilst hayden almost looks the part.

When is it news that Barton CANNOT act? These people need to disappear. Blake Lively is the new Mischa Barton. Rachel Bilson can't act either. But at least she's classier than Barton. Hayden's only decent acting role was "Life as House" and maybe Shattered Glass.

A friend of mine saw this movie…she said it was funny, but really dumb…
I rented Virgin Territory from netflix last week - embarrassingly bad. I feel so bad for Tim Roth who was duped into making this movie. It might've sounded good on paper, but it was truly bad. Lots of T&A, bad script. It was kind of like the style of A Knights Tale (modern rock music & diaglogue), but almost unwatchable.

I rented it from Netflix this weekend and I couldn't even finish watching it…it was that BAD! Unless you love boobies, I really wouldn't watch this movie.
Note: this movie was made about 2 years ago and it took this long to finally come out….straight to DVD! ie: it's a piece of shit

i saw it and they were both acting weird, plus the plot was so obvious, it was dull and a waste of time! France tries to be the always supportive country in art stuff but they do have good taste! Mushy is not bankable yet!
