IMO Fashion Rocks was 1000 times better than the VMAS. the performances had more production value, bigger stars, plus im a huge denis leary fan. They covered old hits, and had new hits as well which is what MTV SHOULD have done for the 25th anniversary. whatevs i could go on all day. Fashion rocks was great!

Fashion Rocks turned out to be what the VMA's should have been…I mean come on, Debbie Harry stepping out of the car…Kid Rock and Lynard Skynnard…"moments" that the VMA's failed miserably to capture. MTV needs to fire their producers and take a look at what Fashion Rocks pulled off.

I saw parts of the show last night. I thought it was fairly boring. It was uninspired celebrity karaoke in a bad nightclub looking set. They were all just going through the motions. Mary J seemed like the only one with any real talent.

I found her voice rather weak in her version of Vogue. Rihanna is talented however Madonna has an energy that cannot be mimicked.
First performance of hers that I actually thought was decent but for some reason when she sings live I feel like I'm watching her do karaoke.
As for the dancing, thank god it only required hand movements. Someone needs lessons from Benny Ninja

I saw it live, it was good, nothing impressive, other than the fact that she had the balls to do Madonna. In the end she should stay away from madonna's style, because she didn't pulled it off. I like rihanna so much, but she needs more than a hit record to emulate Madonna or even aproach to her.
