Sucky news for HBO!
Sunday's season premiere of Entourage bombed. Big time.
Only 1.6 million people tuned in to watch The Pivert and friends. That's 27% less than its June 2007 premiere!
Where was everyone?
We're guessing they were watching the VMAs!

They need to advertise, I love this show and I didnt know it was on this Sunday…..
LOVE entourage. and yes i missed it due to the VMAs but i caught the re-run the next day…i think ratings will go back up this sunday.
to keep up with ratings you need less talking and more shower scenes
i watched it last night (dvr) instead of sunday cuz of the vma's…… i bet the ratings go back up this week; that show is awesome !!
Where I am my cable service gave us HBO free last weekend, so a lot of people had free HBO during their premiere!!! lol, so they really tanked!!!!
Umm…maybe because the show blows now???? It used to be good until they turned it into a sitcom with no suspense at the end of any episode. The issues are always resolved. They should move this show to the CW network or better yet, Nick at Nite after the Brady Bunch!
I saw the episode, it was beyond terrible. I was hoping that this show wouldn't lose steam but I could barely sit through it. If the next episode is as bad I'm done with it.

Fuck I didn't even know it was coming back on and its my favorite show. They didn't have many previews. I will be watching replays of the first episode and the rest of the season for sure. V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MADMEN and VMA's. If you are not watching Madmen, then you missed the suggestively gay scene. It's a great show, portrays the sad truth of how some men hid their sexuality in the late 50's-early 60's. Sad but true. I feel we owe the writers a look-see. Try to watch it On Demand, it was a great episode.

it was most definitely the VMAs. i should have switched over. Im going to watch the first episode on demand then keep watching it. i LOVE entourage. I want to watch true blood also. i think ratings will go back up for sure.
Of course it tanked! That cast is disgusting. Not one appealing person on the show.
Three things: 1- HBO has been sucky lately and if I don't watch that channel and commercials for entourage don't come on how would I know that the season premier was coming. 2- With HBO on demand, im sure folks would rather watch the vmas live and Entourage on demand. 3- Last season wasn't that great, and the desire to continue isn't there.

People can only take so much of a bunch of dipshit guys strolling around LA like they're the best thing ever… whining the whole way. I can't believe I was able to sit through a whole episode!
The VMAs were dreadful, I switched to Mad Men at 10 and watched Entourage later. At one time Entourage was must see for me, but the 3rd and 4th seasons were terrible. This season's premiere wasn't bad though. I like that not everything is going Vince's way for once.
My boyfriend LOVES Entourage, but since we're using Bell Canada as our satelitte provider, we can't get HBO. We were both upset, we wanted to watch it!!
We're all broke! I can't afford cable, let alone HBO. That said, if I could afford it, I'd definitely tune in to Entourage. I love that show.

I have HBO and Showtime, but on DishNetwork, I never know when any of the series shows are coming on, since the play so much, its hard to tell if they are new or repeats from a previous season…So I do not watch any of them. Too bad really. Remember when the cable channels would send you a monthly guide it you subscribed…not thru dish!
Just like everyone I know I DVR'd this so I could watch the VMA's but since the VMA's sucked such major ass this year I ended up watching anyway!
The premier was kinda blah.
I will watch from now on. My fav show. VMAs and Britney will me every time!
This is such a NON-issue. There was a high profile baseball game on ESPN that night, a high-profile NFL game (opening weekend), VMAs, AND HBO OnDemand is very popular. I am a huge Entourage fan and chose to view it Monday night so I could get my sports fix. I am sure tons of guys like me in the same demographic category did the same thing.
Lack of advertising maybe? I didn't even know the new season had premiered until you just told me. They didn't give True Blood any good advertising either, I just happened to see it was coming on. I can't wait for Big Love and Flight of the Conchords!

No one was able to watch it because the economy sucks and no one can afford the premier HBO package that is wayy tooo expensive because when people just want HBO 1.. they have to pay for HBO 1-50.. It's an awesome show though.
