"MAF is the world’s largest nonprofit foundation 501(c)(3) dedicated to funding research studies to protect, treat and cure animals, including companion animals (dogs, cats, horses, llamas/alpacas), as well as wildlife (mountain gorillas, elephants, rhinoceros, wolves, and many varieties of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish). The world’s most respected research institutions, colleges of veterinary medicine, and zoos are conducting nearly 200 MAF-sponsored studies and veterinary student projects. Since our founding in 1948, we have funded more than 1,500 studies."

Ok $7
Sad thing is…and I know this for a fact….many organizations that talk about finding cures and such like this, test all of their "cures" on homeless animals they get on deals made with the "Humane Society." Just ask Washington State University Vet School and the Lewiston/Clarkson "Humane Society."
Yet the supporters and workers still consume animal flesh daily. *sigh*
Totally agree with Toffuti And Wendy. So sad.
Awesome cause! I'm worried about my Golden getting canine cancer and glad to see that they are working on a cure.
Re: Rainbo Brite – I agree. My cat died of a disease they are studying. I started supporting them because I looked at their practices and guidelines for funding research rather than assuming the worst like some of the previous posters. Not all research is cruel and horrible (and I'm a supporter who isn't consuming animals).
I just viewed their website and they are doing a lot of cool stuff for wildlife! They even have information about the gorilla's in African…this is so worth checking out!
Morris Animal Foundation is funding ground breaking research to save pets and wildlife with veterinary research - For that we should all be grateful - Betty White loves them too, and if Betty likes MAF so should you! They also have a YouTube channel where you can learn more about what they do - I just watched some videos and I'd recommend animal lovers check it out too
i think it's cool that you do stuff like this. i really do.
are they about to share a passionate kiss? i love animals, but this particular photo was not the best choice…
