I dont think I could ever pay that much money to sit through Shrek.
Though the little mermaid on broadway was the coolest thing ever.

I saw it and it was AWESOME! Seriously, the most entertaining show I have seen and I have seen several. I really don't think it will disappoint.

I actually got a chance to see this. I thought it was really good but kinda lost me after intermission because it seemed like it dragged on forever. It could do without at least 30 minutes. The actor who played Lord Fraquaad was amazing.

I saw it a few weeks during the test run and it was lovely. There were some things that needed tweaking and I would be tempted to see if they were fixed. It was extremely funny, the actor who played Lord Farquadt stole the show. Of course, it was quite exciting for us local yokels in Seattle to see someone the caliber of Sutton Foster and she did not disappoint. Overall, a worthy effort.

I've seen Chester Gregory (plays donkey) perform in several musicals and he is AMAZING!!!! I'm disappointed to hear about the mixed reviews. Thanks Perez for including theatre reviews :)

despite the mixed reviews, I would definitely say that I enjoyed this musical so much. it gave me lots of laughs, and the production was amazing. everything was so 'real' . . . i didn't want to take my eyes off the show at all. none the less, i would say the performance by the dragon was a bit, over the top. but everything else was superb. the audience had huge range of ages, and from the looks after the show was over, everyone was talking about how much they enjoyed the show!

We took our kids to see it opening weekend here in Seattle, and it was hilarious! i would highly recommend it, but I do have to point out that although some have said it was supposed to follow the book closely it is almost exactly the same as the cartoon with great musical numbers included.
