Screw you Perez. We don't need your thoughts here in Texas. You Liberal Commy!

  9. 9

Thanks Perez, im ready, Ike is gonna kiss my butt

  10. 10

Sorry, Mario. Your sympathy rings false when you spend the vast majority of your day tearing people down. Idiot.

  11. 11

Thanks Perez - and everyone. I live in East Texas, we're just hoping its not as bad as it looks! When Rita came through, we were flooded, and the power was out for weeks. Everyone say a prayer please :)

  12. 12

my friend lives near housten, so i hope everything is ok for him

  13. 13

I already have friends coming to stay with me here in Dallas, and we are supposed to see the rain tomorrow night. All events are cancelled, all hotels booked. :(

  16. 16

People in the Galveston area have known that this hurricane was going to hit near them for a week. It's ridiculous that people need to still be rescued. They should have left like most everyone else. Schools and businesses have been closed for a few days now, there's no reason to stay, really.

  17. 17

Juzt missed that shit coming here to Florida.
Good luch with Ike..he looks nasty.

  18. 18

I hear it will hit Houston harder than Bobby Brown did.

  19. 19

IT'S COMING MY WAY…..I'M JUST GONNA RIDE THE STORM OUTSIDE I LOVE THE RAN AND RICKY MARTIN

  20. 20

Thanks Perez! with love for all the students from Texas A&M galveston

  21. 21

I live in Texas but where I live it is not suppose to hit so bad. But i hope everyone is safe where it does hit!

  22. 22

thanks perez! i'm orginially from california and this is my first hurriance and i'm scared….

  23. 23

gracias perez, we here waiting out the storm so im only killen time!!

  24. 24

    stay safe everyone!

  25. 25

    Who gives a shit?

  26. 26

Thanks Perezzers, Majority of the people left, but there's still a few out here…

  27. 27

We shouldn't be hit too bad here in Dallas. But you guys near the gulf are welcomed here. Remember, they said you are facing "certain death" if you stay, so come on up y'all!! Thanks for the concern Perez.

  28. 28

I hope the Texans listened and got out of there!

  29. 29

why would i move from california to texas?! but i'm in dallas. so i'm okayy…all our friends in houston and my family from down in the rio grande valley are on their way up here.

thank you perez for the thoughts:)

  30. 30

Can someone come and help move the patio furniture? This hurricane is concerning me now, more than ever. I can't imagine 70 mile per hour winds, but I will experience it tonight. Keep the Houston/Galveston area in your prayers as we bravely deal with this event and its aftermath. With that said, I have furniture to move!

  31. 31

IKE will hit HARD! You can ask TINA!

    32

Re: ammmber – We'll be saying the same thing when your butt, gets blown away by a tornado, or you get eaten by the ground.

  33. 33

I LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO SO EVERYBODY'S COMING OVER HERE.I'M ACTUALLY DONATING SOME BABY FOOD AND CLOTHS AT THE RED CROSS THIS WEEKEND BECAUSE THE FOOD BANK IS REALLY SHORT ON BABY FORMULA AND CAN GOODS.

  34. 34

Hope everyone in Texas and Southwest Louisiana stays safe. Hopefully all the people in Galveston who stayed will end up evacuating soon cuz earlier they said only 50% of the city evacuated, and the water level is already up to the top of the 17 foot seawall. And the hurricane hasn't hit yet.

  35. 35

Thanks Perez! I live in the Greater Houston area and I know how crazy it is right now. The news is showing how Galveston is already flooded and it hasn't even been raining yet…

  36. Nator says – reply to this

    36

Yeah Ike is about to bitch slap us. Thanks Perez for the thought. I'm in North Houston and there wasn't a mandadorty evacuation for us so we are just bunkering down and hoping for the best but alot of my familia is near the coast and are mandated to leave. So sad. I think I'm in a good area to ride the storm. It's still gonna wreak havoc though, I can feel it y'all!

  37. melou says – reply to this

    37

What about us in LA. We had a good one 2 weeks ago and now we're getting some serious shit from feeder bands from this one. We need prayers too. I lost a lot 2 weeks ago and 3 years ago.

  38. 38

Re: Paulatina – Those are NICE!!!

  39. 39

    Thanks PEREZ!!! ♥ ♥

  40. 40

Hey Perez! I live in Pearland, Texas (thirty minutes from the now flooding Surfside, Texas and fifteen minutes from Houston) and we're currently evacuating now.

ironically in between making sure we have enough water and food and storm-proofing…i find time to squeeze in a little of the GOSSIP GANGSTARR!

lol much love and thanks for the prayers :)

  41. 41

So scary! I'm praying for all of you!!!

  42. 42

    Thank you so much Perez…

I got evacuated from Galveston. i go to Texas A&M down there and it looks like i might not have a school to go back to :-(

not to mention that i live in HOUSTON…which is going to still get it really bad. thank you so much for thinking about us.

  43. 43

Boodot, the people of Galveston DID NOT know that it was coming our way until Thursday definitely. So, your comments are based on misinformation and ignorance! And, my district only closed on Thursday! Before you start spouting your crap, watch the freaking news. And Ammmber, WE GIVE A SHIT! If you lived in this area, you would too. I can't believe all the insensitive comments out there. To every one in the Gulf Coast Area, Be safe, take cover, and God Bless all of you. I hope that you are all safe from this storm. I will be riding it out with my parents and praying that it doesn't flood too badly and that the storm passes quickly.

  44. lm89 says – reply to this

    44

Re: Boodot – You're retarded. I live in Houston, no one knew the direct path of the hurricane until recently. Plus after the evacuation plan of Hurricane Rita, where it took three hours to leave the city of Houston, no one is evacuating unless their zip code has been listed under the Hurricane Watch Center

  45. 45

Re: Boodot – do you even live here?

  46. 46

and thanks P…we are as prepared as we can be…i live in houston, not galveston and its gonna be rough for us all this time.

  47. 47

    Thanks :)

I'm in Corpus and it just barely missed us. I'm so glad, but I'm praying for everyone who is gonna get hit.

  48. 48

i live in houston too and its already flooding in galveston even though the hurricane is 200 miles away

  49. 49

THANKS!! I LIVE IN HOUSTON AND WE'RE READY FOR IT TO HIT IN A FEW HOURS…SCARY!!

  50. 50

Re: right – if you're going to be like that, hopefully you DROWN.

  51. 51

    Re: poopstain – Good point.

I hope everyone in those affected areas are safe now. Stay strong everyone.
    xoxo

  52. 52

Re: "Boodot-People in the Galveston area have known that this hurricane was going to hit near them for a week. It's ridiculous that people need to still be rescued. They should have left like most everyone else. Schools and businesses have been closed for a few days now, there's no reason to stay, really."

Really? Do you live here? Because I do and up until late Wed night, Ike was still projected to hit further south on the coast, thus Galveston and surrounding areas being in a safer position than they are now.
Learn your facts before you criticize people who are panicking. If you have never been through a hurricane or have never gone through an evacuation then KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. It's not as easy as just packing up and leaving everything behind.

As far as schools and businesses, they haven't been closed for a week. My school only closed yesterday…THURSDAY…and there are alot of businesses open until 12noon on FRIDAY.

  53. 53

Hey perez! I live in Houston, TX. I just wanted to say thanks for thinking about us!

  54. 54

i live in houston. its very scary. alot of people decided to ride out the storm because it would take 20 hrs. to get to san antonio/austin (2 hr drive) and almost everyone worked a normal workday yesterday. having 5 mill people try to get out at the last minute wont work. :(

  55. 55

    Thanks P!
I live in Houston and because of the casualties suffered during the evacuation of Hurricane Rita, evacuations are given by zipcode to try to prevent evacuation deaths. 110 people died during the effort of leaving…and that was before the storm. To the people who made the insensitive comments, you don't understand, and probably won't until you live on the gulf coast and southern part of the east coast. This isn't just some big thunderstorm, this is much much bigger than that. People's families, homes, lives, and dreams at stake. And to say things like who gives a shit, just showed what type of person you are. Ignorant. If Perez is posting it, then obviously people are noticing and caring, and you can take your negativity and hatred else where.

    Be safe all, God Bless!

  56. 56

Of course we'll be safe! Unless you do something stupid and idiotic, all should be fine. I was born and raised here and fortunately live in the northern part of town, but regardless, all precautions should always be taken during these storms. This mofo ain't doing nothing. I am taking this like a cowgirl!

  57. 57

This is God's wrath on Texas for giving the world BUSH!

  58. 58

Let's not forget to thank our wonderful President Bush when he gets there. He is doing a great job and will do a great job after the storm hits.

  59. 59

Hey Thanks Prez. Im live in downtown Houston and everyone who needs to has evacuated and the rest of us have now school or work so were just waiting now and having the BEST HURRICANE PARTIES! However things are really bad for Galveston so everyone say a prayer. God BLess

  60. 60

I'm in Texas Perez!!! Me and my family are in Houston,TX and right now the wind is starting to pick up and it's getting cloudy. Me and my son were out on the balcony of our apartment blowing bubbles before we have to stay inside for good. We're not planning on evacuating because we are on the 2nd floor of our complex building. So the only thing we are worried about is if a tree falls through our bedroom roof… but we have 2 backup plans. So we're good. We've got food and water and toiletries and plenty of stuff to keep the kiddo entertained.
Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts…. even though we're way down in Texas lol.

  61. eeb says – reply to this

    61

    Thanks Perez.

  62. 62

    Hey Perez,

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. I live in Houston, and my Mom is living in Galveston. And let me tell you guys, this storm is already doing damage to the coast, and it hasnt even hit yet!! So thank you for giving everyone the heads up. It means a lot!! :)

  63. 63

im from CA. been living in TX for the past 3 yrs. and this is my first hurricane. i dont think its gonna hit where i live too bad. but we're ready. pray for TX please. thank you.

  64. 64

    Re: Poodle Face

How can you say something so insensitive? It takes all 50 states to elect a president not just texas.

  65. 65

As terrible and rascist as this sounds…..Im more worried about everyone in Texas fleeing up north (Denver pre say) Texas is filled with blacks and mexicans. like real mexicans. I dont mind black people. But mexicans……i leave on the east side of denver, which would be an awesome place except thats where all the texan mexicans moved in…I hoep Ike goes away and everyone stays put.

  66. 66

I live in Austin, and although the storm isn't hitting here we are still expecting to get rain. There have been LOADS of people coming in all day, the schools are shutting down early and we are preparing for the worst. I bless everyone down on the East coast, let's hoe this isn't another Katrina! Do what's right and get the heck out if you are supposed to especially if you have children! God Bless and thanks Perez, even though I don't really like you, being concerned is really sweet. :]]

  67. 67

Thank u Perez! We're just trying to enjoy the nice whether while we can, everyone is boarding up there houses. =(

  68. 68

Yeaa Galveston's already flooding and not even raining yet!

  69. 69

Re: Provokedflame12 – FUCK YOU you FAT UGLY BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  70. 70

Thanks Perez! I've actually lived in H-town almost my whole life (20+ years) and I think this is probably the worst we've seen in that whole time. We finally got all the yard furniture in, and we're hunkering down out in North Houston… unfortunately my hometown (Baytown, TX) is under mandatory evacuation, so I'm saying a prayer for everybody back home and hoping they're all safe and out of harm's way!

  71. 71

Re: Provokedflame12 – Wow… I can't imagine how hard that must be fore you. I mean, my whole family and all my friends, as well as my home are in danger, but Mexicans might come to Denver for a couple weeks, how terrible!!!

Keep the incredibly ignorant comments to yourself… Texans wouldn't evacuate to Denver anyway, the overwhelming stench of unshowered hippies tends to keep us out.

  72. 72

I live in the Northwest side of Houston. My grandfather lives in Galveston and most of my coworkers live in Clear Lake. They have been required to evacuate and they have, escaping to their families in North Houston. The problem with "Hurricane Season" is that most of them are nothing but a threat. After Rita was a dud and so many people (including my Grandmother) died due to evacuating, most people are less inclined to evacuate or take any of it seriously. I, for one, have been laughing off "Hurricane" talk, as if it wouldn't happen. Its a complete shock to me to wake up this morning and see Galvestion waves breaking over the seawall and flooding the streets — and the hurricane hasn't even made landfall. I'll probably only see wind and rain, but thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. They mean the world.

  73. 73

Re: Provokedflame12 – please tell me you are fucking kidding? you are on the WRONG website girl………. let me tell you!! maybe you should move to alabama then you fucking ignorant hillbilly piece of trash

  74. 74

Re: Provokedflame12 – wow arent you a fat cunt? id rather be a mexican or black then to be a prejudice hippie colorado fat cunt.

  75. 75

Re: Boodot – You're such an idiot. WTH do you know? You don't know what it's like to be involved in a hurricane, so why are you even putting your two cents in? Have you even been keeping up with it? I doubt it. If it were you and your family on the line I doubt you'd be acting like such an a**hole. Get a life and learn your facts. People can't change mother nature, so how is it our fault?

  76. 76

Nothing is going to happen. i live in houston and i swear NOTHING IS going to happen to us. maybe in galv. and the coast but not here. all the other hurricanes that have come has only given us a small rain storm and it went away. people here are freaking out. its insance and stupid.

  77. 77

Re: Provokedflame12, Are you fucking serious? You ignorant piece of trash! Peoples' lives, homes, vehicles, possessions, and loved ones are all at risk and all you can spew is some racist piece of trash! That's exactly what you are, trash! To all of the Gulf Coast area, God Bless you! I live 30 miles inland, but I'm staying with my parents. We "experienced" Rita and made the decision to stay. All of our neighbors (of all races BTW) have talked and banded together to help each other out if needed. Because that's what people with class do! Provokedflame12 and everyone else out there with your insensitive comments do NOT have class!

  78. 78

Re: Provokedflame12 – You're talking about Mexicans, yet who are the ones who do all the hard work? Do you not have a heart? Get over yourself - fat a**. You know, Texas is a welcoming state, but people like you don't deserve our courtesy. I'd like to see you come down here and go through what we do. Idiot.

  79. 79

Re: Provokedflame12 – Seriously. Go jump into the Gulf.
We don't need people like you in this world. Thank you to everyone else for your thoughts

  80. 80

Thanks, P-Nasty! Hopefully we won't blow or float away!!!

  81. 81

Thanks for all the support. I currently live in Houston, and my family has decided to wait it out. We should lose power by tomorrow morning. I really hope everything will be ok.

  82. 82

thanks so much perez! i'm in houston, and you are the ONLY distraction available! if it wasn't for your site, i would've killed myself already. all there is on tv is weather reports 24/7. i'm "hunkering" down as the rain begins to move in. thanks again for the well wishes

  83. 83

OMG I live in Dallas and everyone here is even told to follow some of the hurricane procedures such as bringing anything in from outside that could become projectile…i brought in my lawn furniture…we are expecting moderate damage and we are not even near the coast…Thank you Perez TEXAS LOVES YOU!!!

  84. 84

Thanks so much for your thoughts. We are currently watching the rising water that is happening WITHOUT any rain so far. I am really thinking that we will not have a house left to go back to because we like about 5 min from galveston and there is a bouyu about 2 blocks from my house. Thinking i should have bought somewhere else. lol

  85. 85

    Re: Provokedflame12

    wow!

aren't you ignorant?!! texas wouldn't be the great state it is without all the mexicans and the blacks, we wouldn't have it any other way!

like someone previously said, please go jump into the gulf.

  86. 86

    thanks!!

  87. 87

i have been glued to the tv since thursday! i have never been through a hurricane. my hubby would not leave so i stayed wiith him and we are going to "hunker down" as the mayor has said. wish us luck

  88. 88

thanks! im in texas and i just moved to dallas from college station/houston area and all my friends and some family are there !!

  89. 89

This is good…nature zapping the weak and stupid.

  90. 90

Re: Provokedflame12 – "As terrible and racist as it sounds"…. then don't say it! Because now everyone knows what a backwards idiot you are! This is the 21st century. Wake up.

  91. 91

Bless them! I hope things turn out A- Ok!

  92. 92

    thanks perez!
i live in houston and me and my family had to evacuate to san antonio
we're praying that our houses will still be there when we get back
thank you to everyone for their prayers and thoughts! :)

  93. 93

It's kinda scary outside right now. I live in a little town on the texas coast that was right in the middle of it, luckily for us it went up toward the houston area, though unfortunate for them. We are still going to get tropical storm strength winds and rain here. My parents and I decided to stay in town and are going to ride it out. Luckily I live in a concrete building and have no windows. My parents on the other hand live in a mobile home right on the water. Hopefully they won't have much damage and they are staying here with me. Thanks for all your prayers and support. Good luck Houston/Galveston area!

  94. 94

IM IN TEXAS! AND IT SUCKS!!

  95. 95

I hope Ike doesn't beat Houston like the way he beat TINA!!!! LOL.

My family and friends are there and I'm glued to the situation.

  96. 96

    TEXAS loves perez!!!

    WE DON'T LIKE IKE!

  97. 97

to whoever said "who gives a shit?"….thanks asshole. I'm in San Antonio but the rest of my family is just outside of Houston .so thankyou all for your concern and prayers :)

  98. 98

I would once again like thank Perez for keeping us and thought and i would also like thank all the people who responded to the insensitive comments left by people who are not even worth mentioning. this is a serious time and a serious situation. I live in downtown Houston and yes we will get extremely bad weather however it is very very bad and serious in Galveston and getting worse by the minute. We have a little less than 12 hours left until Ike hits and the water has already gone over the seawall and Galveston is flooding badly and quickly. Please keep the people living in Galveston and the City of Galveston in your prayers. And for all my peeps waiting it out in H-town, DRINK UP! God Bless

  99. 99

Thank you perez for the post about Ike. As someone from Texas I really appreciate it. And thank you to everyone else who left comments. We really need them!!

  100. 100

Re: Provokedflame12 – For the record I am Mexican and live in Texas. You have to be on ignorant fool to think any of us in the "Ike" zone would evacuate to CO. You really need to wake up and smell the coffee honey. People don't like ugly and you've got it all over you. And another thing, if you just have to post such a comment one would think you would at least use proper grammar and spell words correctly.
