Thanks to everyone. My husband is down there with the NG helping with evac's. I am rather worried about him and the others helping out.

Status on Louisiana: We have up to 4 feet of water in houses already, the wind has blown down trees all over the place, no power or TV in most places and tornados have touched down quite a few times. One not too far from myself. This is pretty bad. Let's hope Ike & Katrina don't get together and conceive, that would be the end of the gulf coast.

How I wish to be in Puerto Rico right now with the comfort of my cement house instead of a wooden one right smack in the middle of central austin.

Re: hottie – I dont get it..

    20. 120

TEXAS deserves what it gets - damn red neck state which gave us not one, but two BUSH presidents. I say bring it on IKE - teach those stupid southern rednecks a lesson.
They even named the darn airport after BUSH. IKE - make me happy.

    21. 121

some of the comments made by people are awful…they obviously have not been to texas….houston is not a redneck city and besides that no one deserves to have a hurricane wipe out everything. Right now Galveston is facing a possible 20 foot storm surge, and many surrounding areas are going to be completely flooded.
My prayers are out to everyone else on the Texas Coast. Right now on the north side of houston there is some strong wind starting to hit and the lights are flickering every once in a while…It's only 9:30 and the storm is really expected to hit by 12

Re: kent1470 – Just because Bush is from Texas doesn't mean that millions of people in the coastal area of Texas deserve to lose their homes and personal belongings. He may be from Texas, but American citizens voted him into office. I don't know what state you're from, but EVERY state has "stupid rednecks" or their version of it. You obviously posted for attention. That's really sad you need attention from people on a gossip site.

    23. 123

      Re: right
Shut the fuck up. Do you really have such a pathetic life that you would actually register to be a member of this site just so you can diss him?

Seriosuly go kill yourself your a waste of air.

    24. 124

This is what I get for going to an OOS college.
      Worry. Worry. Worry.
My mom managed to boot it to Austin,
but my dad (not in the evacuation zone, but had about 4 ft of water when tropical storm Alison came through) decided to stick it out. As well as all my friends who go to college in Houston.
You have no idea how much this sucks.

Oh wait, you will…in a couple of days when you go to fill up your car and notice your gas price is way too high.

That's what shutting down 20% of the nation's refineries gets you.
      Why should you care?
If not for human life…gas prices.
Bitch and moan about gas prices.

    25. 125

i'm out here further down the coast. we were expected to evacuate and then Ike changed his fucking mind. typical man! we'll still get a shit ton of rain and wind though, just like when Dolly spanked us a few weeks ago.

it wasn't for sure where in the fuck on the Texas Gulf Coast this fucking thing was going to hit. we found out late YESTERDAY we didn't have to worry. we were all boarded up and ready to evac!

    26. 126

To the dumbass that said "who gives a shit", You will when the gas prices go up and your ass cant go anywhere

    27. 127

idk why people stay in evacuations
      i hope everyone got out

    28. 128

i'm in southeast texas, and it hasn't quite gotten this far. give it another hour or so. let's hope we don't lose lights for more than a week. all i can do is pray for everyone south of us.

You dumbass. Bush is not from Texas, he's from Connecticut. Look it up. Some people are such morons.

      Re: Provokedflame12 –
As terrible and rascist as this sounds…..Im more worried about everyone in Texas fleeing up north (Denver pre say) Texas is filled with blacks and mexicans. like real mexicans. I dont mind black people. But mexicans……i leave on the east side of denver, which would be an awesome place except thats where all the texan mexicans moved in…I hoep Ike goes away and everyone stays put.
Are you serious??? For one, do you really think Texans are going to go all the way to Colorado because of a Category 2 (weak 3) hurricane? Idiot.

And F-you in regards to your completely racist comments. My husband is Mexican and my children are part Mexican and PROUD of it. What a racist asshole. By the way…we are also proud Texans.

I say it again because so many people keep saying it!!!

Bush is NOT FROM TEXAS!!! He is from Connecticut! His family moved to Texas when he was a child. Therefore he is not a native Texan! I for one, do not and never will claim him as a Texan.

P.S. I've met the man and he is just as much of a moron and A-hole in person as he appears on tv.
