The new Meg Ryan-starring movie, The Women sucks ass.
BOTH papers gave the flick just one star.

I never pay attention to movie reviews. Some of the movies I've liked the best have been totally panned by the critics. Besides, I don't like having someone else tell me what I should or shouldn't like. I make that decision for myself.

Meg Ryan is a hasbeen and would of had a better chance at playing the sister of the joker in Batman. They have similar lips. Jada looks a hot mess also. Better casting of their two characters may have made the movie better.
That's OK. I'm saving my movie money for that flick with Deniro and Pacino. Ca-ching!

i read the Scottish Metro today and it also gave it one star. i usually love chick flicks but this just looks really awful, it has every cliche in the book.

The Women is a Remake from a movie back in 1940. some movies you don't want to remake and that is one of them….Classics are the Best and should remain Classics.

I feel so sorry for Meg Ryan. She used to be "America's Sweetheart" and one of the most popular actresses thanks to her rom coms. Now it seems everything she touches is up for ridicule by the critics. Hell, the last movie she did with Antonio Banderas didn't even make it to theaters and went straight to DVD. I actually had a little hope for this movie. It had a decent cast, a somewhat funny plot and looked like it would be a worth seeing chick flick so sad to hear that it isn't up to par. *sigh. Keep trying, Meg! There's still that classic scene in "When Harry Met Sally…" to remember her by.
Yeah, it sux because she is in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meg Ryan is noone anymore, and even when she was a huge box office draw I didn't like her.

Seriously though. Why does Perez always have to diss women in his posts. Plus - who listens to reviewers anyways? It's probably 2 old conservative men rating this movie made for chicks, couples and gays. Like c'mon now. An all movie female cast movie like this is rare and he shouldn't be dissing it but promoting it. Anyways, I'm seeing it and I think power to them for making this movie. I'd go just to see the great cast.

Yup, crap that's been recycled from a movie,50 years ago!! No one knows anymore the meaning of creativity in Hollywood. Might I add I know the REAL "The Women" is 10 times better than its recycled successor.
Let's get real. Anyone that's seen the original version w/Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, Joan Fontaine, Paulette Goddard, Marjorie Main, etc. KNEW the remake was going to be a turkey.
By the way, am I the only one to think that the Women are photoshopped beyond belief on the poster??? Annette Bening actually looks like Vanessa Williams!
Too bad. They filmed some of the scenes near my office in Boston. I was hoping it would be halfway decent.
I had the misfortune of see the movie yesterday with my mum and sister, while i enjoyed the idea of the movie, i couldn't enjoy the look of the movie as the morons that were in charge of the projector were, i believe, very incompident, and therefore incapable, of operating the projector. we saw the movie at the Vue movie theatre in cheltenham, england. I suggest seeing the movie elsewere if u havn't seen it yet.
I just saw this movie and it was very very good. Definitely a good movie to watch with your girls! We all had a great time and loved loved loved the movie. Most of the general public disagrees with the "famed critics".
