What a relief!
To recap - early this morning, we heard the terrifying news that 54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins, a man who was convicted of stalking and threatening Madonna, had escaped from a mental hospital in Norwalk, CA.
The LAPD were describing the man as follows:
"…A very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies."
Now, we're VERY happy to report that the Los Angeles Police Department have captured Madonna's very dangerous stalker!
The LAPD announced that Hoskins was found around 9 a.m. this morning "not far from the mental facility from which he escaped."
He's currently in police custody and he's being escorted back to the hospital.
We're just glad that nobody was hurt while this man was on the loose. We're ESPECIALLY glad that he wasn't able to get close to Madonna.
Great job, LAPD! We're very pleased and impressed!

Re: ammmber – oh, i totally agree with ya. her singing career is in the shitter. for some reaon, she's just not very relevant in the hollywood scene. the highlight of her career was Newlyweds, and she had mild success with her single "With You", hence the reason she won't stop singing it everytime she's on tv, despite her promises to allienate herself from the pop genre. im not sure WHY, but people just dont like her. she hasnt a bad voice, she's pretty…who knows….maybe it's her creep dad.
i watched for a whole minute and 7 seconds (that i will never get back in my life) cuz i was thinking she MIGHT get herself back in tune with the band…. but she just got worse and worse. WOW! I wanted to listen to the entire song, before commenting, and I barely made it through. That was terrible. I never liked her voice. I have actually liked Ashlee's voice, but not Jessica's. That was soooo terrible, I feel bad for her, but… her career is OVER.
I actually thought Jessica Simpson was good on the view… you could tell the song really meant something to her. She was really in to it and seemed emotional. I thought she was great!

This country shtick has got to stop. I understand that she's trying to "connect" with her new southern fanbase, but singing about spousal abuse & whiskey just doesn't sound natural for her. Especially in that low, serious voice she's trying to use.

Jessica, Jessica, holy crap what happened? Is it because you are trying to insert a country twang into your voice that you are singing out of your nose? I could sing better in the shower with a cold. You used to be able to sing, I think, what happened?
OK - either everyone is deaf, or you just go with what Perez says cos you can't judge for yourselves. I watched the clip, and she sounds absolutely fine vocally. I think what's throwing you is the fact that she put so much emotion into the song - that should not be confused with tone-deafness. Her pitch and tone are the same as always.
Also many of you may not understand Country music. It's completely different from other genres of music, and the voice is often used as an instrument, and is also quite an emotional style to sing, so to most of us it may sound over the top.

OMG-it sounds like 2 different songs were taking place at once. A pretty little light tune the band was playing and what ever that boring song was she was singing. Song is awful, she can't act-instead of showing emotion in her song, she just got louder and fuzzy with the words. She also doesn't dress country-today her dress looked like something you would wear to church/afternoon wedding.
