Honky-tonk singer Charlie Walker died in Tennessee on Friday.
Walker was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and also enjoyed a successful career as a radio DJ.
He was diagnosed with colon cancer shortly before his passing.
Charlie was 81-years old.
He is survived by his wife and 10 children. Ten! His legacy definitely lives on in them.

aw
Sorry to hear of his passing. However, I hope they bury him in that jacket. It's the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
xoxo, Isa
may he rest in peace.
Why no announcement on Aug 31 about Jerry Reeds death? Jerry Reed man! Charlie Walker is good too, but Jerry Reed! RIP to the both of them, and peace to their families.
RIP U WERE GREAT!!!
Rest In Peace Charlie Walker.
He was a great musician. RIP Mr. Walker.
Sorry to hear about the passing. By the way, that jacket was designed by Tony Alamo and went for about $800.00. Tony tried to get me to work for him in the late 80's.

Slater
Hmmm….I must have missed your tribute to Jerry Reed, when he died 2 weeks ago. And, Mr. Reed had more of a following than Mr. Walker.
Why do you act as if you care about people like this? It d won't make you seem more media savvy, it make you look like your patornizing to people like Mr. Walker. The person who said something about Jerry Reed was right. My advice to you stick is to what you know!
That's right, hold on to your gunz and your religion and of course now you're dead. So sad.
Thanks for posting Charlie's Death. He is my Cousin.
Gone to join GODS Hallelujah Choir!! It Doesn't get any better than that!!!!!
Though we must now say goodbye, Charlie's in our hearts to stay.!.!!
