Here's something to chew on!
Adrianne Curry just posted the following on her official blog:

Hurricane Victims pay for their own rescues?
Current mood: aggravated
I am sorry, but I believe all these people should have to pay the bill for their individual rescues! When they issue a "certain death" warning and you are fucking dumb enough to stay, you do not deserve free aid. I watched people being interviewed on the news claiming they bought a bunch of beer and BBQ to sit through the storm. I bet these same people are crying for help as I type. This is fucking stupid! Why should we have to foot a dime for these dumbasses that ignored these warnings?
FREE transportaion was provided, many buses left half empty. FREE shelters were provided, many not filled up. People value MONEY and POSESSIONS more than their own lives? IDIOTS!
I feel like we reward stupidity in this country, and this is the perfect example of it. What do you guys think?
edited note:: I never said they should DIE, I said if they value their MONEY and POSSESSIONS more thn their own LIVES they should have to pay for endangering the lives of rescue workers, and sucking up more money this government DOESN'T have. someone claimed they didnt want to lose their job…I wasn't aware the bank was open that day!"
What do U think about what Adrienne has to say?????

Ugh! She's so irritating. She's a z-list celebrity at best. I have zero interest in what she has to say.
Gosh, I wish celebrities would stick to politics.
i agree completely, those people who are healthy enough and have the means to leave should have left. they're idiots.
first
i agree with her.
shes a cunt
Whoever this person is, has a point.
If you didn't evacuate *and* it was provided for, then yes, you SHOULD pay.
Seriously who is this?!?!
I think she is 100% right. To say "oh well I don't want to lose my job"… well honey, if you're dead, you won't need one. And also, I think should understand if your house is many feet under water. Even if your job doesn't understand, fuck them, get a new job. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that people have seen what Katrina did, yet they still chose to stick around and wait it out. If there is free transportation, free shelter, then what the FUCK are you waiting for? Get on the fucking bus, and get the hell out of there. I don't think they deserve to die, but I certainly agree that it's their own fault for not taking pre-caution.
She's right.
I can see where she is coming from. I don't know that I agree with her 100% but I can understand why she feels that way. She really isn't wrong.
Blow me
she is obviously very stupid and ignorant
her input and opinion is not valued at all
she is so dumb and doesnt even know what living through a hurricane is like so she should just shut up
She makes some good points. Love Adrianne!
She said 1000000% truth..
AMEN..
lolz
Despite what you think of her, she does have a valid point. This was not a surprise storm and the warnings were dire. Get out or face certain death! A lot has been learned from Katrina. But none of that works if no one wants to learn. I think that's her point. Rescues are a dangerous thing, not only for those being rescued, but for the rescuers. Why put anyone through that if you don't have to.
AMEN
I don't completely disagree. If they are dumbasses who don't listen to the warnings…..then too bad.
I sort of agree with her… people were warned and still stayed… save the children, elderly and disabled.. leave everyone else that thought they knew better
She is a fucking idiot.
I think she's right. It could have been worded a little more eloquently but in essence she is right on.
I think she has a point.
if they decide to stay after being warned over and over…they totally should pay for the man hours that go into saving their dumb asses.
she's right. People were staying despite the warnings and going out to the bar! In some countries, they have to pay for their rescue. They get a bill in the mail. These losers should have to pay for rescuers risking their lives to get them out. 2000 rescues today, so far, is 2000 too many. I know the US is a free country, but it shouldn't be free for the stupid people.
:(
Re: sssssteph – You are obviously the ignorant one.
i totally agree with her!
FIRST! I agree with everything she has to say (on this subject)!
first bitches….i love her!
Much to my dismay, I completely agree with her. There was plenty of warning. I read one couple SLEPT IN and thats why they didnt evacuate!
I agree with her to some degree,
I don't see why this is controversial - it is common sense. The people who ignored the warnings are not only risking their own lives, but the lives of people who have to go out and rescue them. They only hinder recovery efforts because of the time, lives, and resources that are wasted finding and rescuing them. They clearly have no respect for the people who risk their lives in these situations. Staying behind isn't only stupid and defiant, but malicious and endangering.
Thank you Adrienne.
I agree with her too.
If they were given clear warning they should also be told they will be billed for any expenses if they choose to stay behind. If they're unable to leave the area that's where the rescue money should be spent, getting people who can't get out on their own away from the area before the storm.
I'll make it easy for everyone with a little advertising slogan I came up with. The government can use it, free of charge. Here goes:
"You stay, you pay."
shes way too angry to be a pothead.
bitch
i think she's right.
She's a fcking idiot. We were "MySpace Friends" and I tried to tell her she was coming off as so full of herself. She replied FREAKING OUT because I "have no idea" who she is. Really? How about the loads of personal shit she posts. She's a sad creature.
i agree!
i COMPLETELY AGREE! i live in south texas, we were actually supposed to get it until the storm turned, but i just can't BELIEVE they don't have to pay for their own stupidity. way to go adrianne!
homegirl's got a point
even if she is annoying
She couldn't be more right.
Never thought I'd say this, but I 100% agree with her.
i completely agree with her.
I completely agree. What is the argument for them not paying?? Unless of course they're all Democrats and then I understand completely. Go to You Tube and watch "Democrats on an Escalator." Says it all.
I totally agree. Stupid dumbasses.
I think this is the only intelligent thing she's ever said.
She is 110% CORRECT
Shockingly, I agree with her!!!!
She is living proof stupidity is rewarded in this country!
She is right about rewarding stupidity in this country: This STUPID BITCH has been on several tv shows and is still considered "famous" and getting media coverage. Yes she sure had a good point.
I agree with her 100%. The dumb-fuck that IGNORE the warnings deserve what they get!
shes absolutely right.
but im sure the media will manipulate it to make it appear she wishes death on these people.
Who cares what this lame ass has to say about the situation. She was probably drunk or high when she wrote it… OR, maybe she's feeling down because Ol' Brady isn't putting out
She's 100% right. Morons.
Hate to say it, but I totally agree with her; the thought that for at least the week following the imminent hit, officials TOLD people, "hey this is not a joke… please evacuate" and now they're crying out for help. Sorry, but I don't think the government should have to pay for that too. Isn't our government already paying for enough stupidity??? phuck! this just aggravates me.
Normally I think she is a dumbass…..but in this I agree with her completly. Stupid shits should have left and now my freakin tax dollars are going to help rescue them. Stupid Dumbasses……….
she's right!
a little harsh, but I agree with her. If people were sufficiently warned to get out via mandatory evacuation, then why should the government have to shell out extra money for those people, instead of using that money for rebuilding the city and helping other people that were hurt that didn't have a mandatory evacuation.
I agree with her for once!
I have been that way myself and I'm just frustrated at watching the rescue effort underway after they told those people to leave and if they did not to write their social's on their arms with a sharpie,, so why go back to get them? they were told to leave and they were given a free ride out of there,, yet the idiots stayed to party and ride it out for a joy,, a kick,, and we have pay for it,, that sucks,,
I say make them pay themselves!!
I hate moochers!
I 100% agree with her. stupid fucking hard headed dumbasses
I agree 100%
She is totally right, it's their own fault for staying behind when there are, as she points out, other options. The rescuers could be somewhere else instead of helping someone that is in this bad situation purely because they're too selfish or dumb to take shelter.
She has a valid point. Think of all the rescuers who have to risk their lives saving people who ignored the warnings to leave. If you're selfish enough to stay you should at least be charged for putting others in danger.
She has a great point. The idiots were advised to leave, they didn't. Unfortunately it is rare that someone actually has to pay for their own ignorance.
I agree with Adrian. I live near the coast. My families are with me now as they evacuated for the storm. It's a no brainer. These people should certainly have to pay for their rescue. In fact, the Coast Guard should have a way to charge their credit card before they enter the helicopter. If you can't pay… cut them loose.
The news channels has plenty of shots of the stupid people hanging back to sit thru the storm. My favorite was a guy that they interviewed that was standing on the sea wall with his young son (about 8 years old). As the waves were crashing over head, they boy said, "daddy, I'm scared". They were riding the storm out in an old wooden condo facility that was right on the water. Looked like it would fall over on it's own.. If anything happened to that boy, the father should be charged with manslaughter and rot in hell.
She is right. They should have cared less about their things and more about their lives. Even worse is that the rescuers are risking their lives in order to get out people who refused to leave.
She is right
i actually agree with her. people were warned to leave and yet some were dumb enough to stay anyways.
I agree that they are stupid, but not the rest.
She really needs to shut up because so many people can't stand her already. I also think Chris Night is hot for an old guy
that is rude, but i do get what shes trying to say.
I agree, if you choose to stay, and there was so much time to evacuate, you should foot your own bill.
I don't really like her, but homegirl has a point!
i hate to say it but i kind of agree.
And.. if you were stupid enough to stay behind, I don't feel sorry for you. That's what they call "thinning the herd"
100% true…
Where's the skank Sharon Stonner and her Bad Carma, I guess the US deserved to get hit with all these floods. I am wating for sharon Stonner to tell me why
She's right actually! I totally agree with her! I feel the same way about adventurers who go to dangerous places and then risk the lives of other people who have to rescue them in high mountains, bottom of the ocean, etc.
I completly agree with her
FUCK HER! Dude, I was a fan of her, but now I'm not anymore! My entire family lives in Houston and had to go thru this fucking mess and for her to say shit like this makes me sick! She has NO remorse for anything! Right this moment, my family is sitting in the dark with NO water or electricity. I can't even communicate with them and I'm scared something has happened to them. FUCK ADRIENNE CURRY! She can kiss my ASS!
I agree with her to a certain extent. I mean if people wanted to get out, help was being offered.
I admire Adrienne for speaking her mind. She has enough guts to blurt out what a lot of people are thinking. My husband and I were watching the news unfold on Ike and could not believe how many morons were staying there, just waiting to get hit.
I won't say she is right or wrong……but….I will say if people didn't take in/learn from the hurricane Katrina devastation, then their idiots. They had free transportation provided and a free spot to hunker down. For them to stay after seeing the massive human lose in Katrina, I can't feel sorry for them.
I agree with everything she said, and I agree with most things she does say.
Adrienne says stuff that noone else usually has the balls to say, as for this latest comment, its freakin true, people should not have to risk their lives to save idiots.
I totally agree with her on this.
The girl is an idiot but she's totally right this time. People are given an opportunity to leave whether they could on their own or get to transportation that was provided. What pisses me off is the emergency spokespeople tell them when the storm comes they're on their own, but when they start to be terrified and beg for help then out goes emergency services being put in danger because some asshole decided he/she was too strong for mother nature. I hope the next time when they tell people they're on their own they stick to it. No need to put the bravery of emergency workers to the test and put them in harms way because some asshole decided they weren't leaving. Fuck em. If they want to tough it out, next time let them tough it out for real.
Clearly she didn't consider the hundreds of thousands of undocumented people who live in southern Texas who couldn't even go anywhere because of the checkpoints set up.
I am from New Orleans and personally evacuate for all hurricanes. There are some people here (that work for pumping stations and such) that must stay. They all usually are given a safe place to stay though. Transportation is provided and help is given. Some people just have never had devastation and have the attitude of being invincible. Look back at 2005 for Katrina…no one is safe and the thing everyone thought would never happen happened. Adrienne is right that help is given, no matter if you are sick, old, young, black, white or purple. The government hopefully learned from their mistakes and tried to take everyone out before they are airlifting people from roofs. It is better to be safe than sorry and get the hell out. It is better to come back to nothing like I did 3 years ago then to come home to a graveyard in your own home or endangering other people's lives.
i fucking agree with everything she said.
I agree 100% with her, I live in Houston, and we were told time and time again to leave, and if we could not afford or we were unable to leave on our own, to call them and they would pick us up, for FREE. A lot of people in Galveston decided to stay because they WANTED, so yes, they should pay for their own stupidity.
Gotta admit it, I totally agree with her.
I have a few friends who stayed through the storm even though they had ample time and resources to get out of the way and now they're whining. Boo hoo, morons.
That bitch is always right.
Right on!
sorry perez but shes right, I have family there and they were given notice and they left. When the news is reporting you wil face a certain death if you stay, then why would you even think twice about sticking around. normally dont like adrianne curry but look back to katrina, we gave out FEMA credit cards, and people used them on things like boob jobs, face lifts, and all sorts of other nonsense. look it up
she is 100% right.
Bitch has a point.
While I don't often agree with Adrienne, she is right about this. If you have the means and physical ability to evacuate, do it. Someone is afraid of losing their job? No one who works for any kind of reasonable employer would get fired for evacuating during a "certain death" hurricane!
She's right. We're going to spend enough tax dollars cleaning up. Mandatory means mandatory and if you stay you should know you're going to foot the bill. I bet everyone would get the hell out of dodge next time.
she does have a point. in many places, it was a mandatory evacuation, but people chose to stay anyway. when that is the case, and they then need to be rescued, they do need to pay some sort of fine.
She has a point….not so well put in some parts, but correct. They were told they would face certain death and they decided to stay, they are at fault….People even refused RESCUE! People were trying to rescue them and they refused to accept the help but they want it now? I agree with rebuilding the individuals houses that heeded the warning and left but the idiots that stayed shouldn't get completely free aid.
in a way she is right..and i do somewhat agree. like people had plenty of warnings and time to get out. the gov't did everything they could to knock it into people's brains that should get OUT!
but on the other hand, I don't think this is something that she needed to come out and voice her opinion. sure people did stay, but a lot of people are in jeopardy and it's not something that people need to be voicing their opinions on at this time.
Re: madmen – #43
Pretty funny vid. Thanks for sharing!
For once I actually agree with her.
