Paris Hilton attended the Fifth Annual Summer’s End Beach Party benefiting Nevada Cancer Institute on Saturday night.
The reality TV veteran took to the stage and encouraged party-goers to open their hearts and their wallets and give generously to NVCI, saying "everyone has been touched by cancer in one way or another."
Paris' grandmother battled breast cancer.
This is the second time that Paris has attended a Nevada Cancer Institute fundraiser to support the cause close to her heart.
The event raised more than $1.5 million.

I'd rather see a picture of the people that actually put in the work to help raise the money rather than show up and pretend that they have everything to do with it.

you people actually think shes doing it out of the goodness of her own heart? Its for the sole purpose of publicity and to shake her dirty image. all corporations donate to charity these days, they have to or they face heavy scrutiny. she is basically a corporate entity, she generates money for television, media, her perfume line, night clubs etc..etc…if all she did was party all the time she would face heavy media scrutiny thus she is told by her handlers to be the face of charity events.
people that actually care about charity do not need to pose for pictures and make the deed public.

I think she is finally growing up. It just took her longer than the rest of us because of the way she was brought up. You know, most of us grow up when we have to start paying for things and being responsible for ourselves. She never had to do this. ALSO, I heard she has ADHD, and so do I, and it makes you lag behind in maturity from the norm. Go Paris, use those good looks and fame to help others!!
