Every election these people are so predictable - "don't vote for ____ (Republican Pres Candidate", "He's Hitler", "He'll Take Away Roe v Wade", etc., etc. Personally (and I know a lot of people who feel this way), the more they hear these people constantly rip their candidate, the less they want to support that person's music career, movie career, etc. Keep in mind the polls show McCain pulling ahead right now so I guess these people don't mind offending over 1/2 the population of this country!

I don't rely on a website to tell me what I need to know. First of all, I am from Illinois and lived in Barack's district, so I am familiar first hand with all Obama's all talk and no action policies. Second, if you study his voting record, something Hillary Clinton discussed as well. He voted over a 100 times Present versus voting yes or no. That typically means that a politician doesn't want to tie their name to something. That's not change. As far as issues, I do think several of the things I have supported are issues. Barack says he believes in equality of all people yet he voted in the Illinois Senate to deny Hispanics equal representation. You can read the bill. Second, he believes in abortion and even moreso, he believes in killing a child if the abortion is botched. While I am not a woman, so I can't speak personally to abortion, I dont believe in killing a life once it is outside of the womb. Is that not murder? Also, Barack believes in reparation. That is unfair to Native Americans. They had their land stolen and were submitted to slavery too, but this is in the past. Why should I, who have never discriminated against an African-American or Native American, have to pay my hard earned dollars to apologize for something out of my control. Barack also flip flops on issues. One minute he's against drilling and the next minute when its popular, hes for it. That's what killed John Kerry.

In regards to comments on church, Marley Rai, I don't know if your church is predominantly African-American or not. I do know that whatever the racial or cultural makeup is, if statements are being made that heighten another group and ostracize another, that is discrimination. The point I was making was that I have many African-American friends and I have been to churches where I was the only minority in the all African-American church. Not once was I treated like I didnt belong, or that I was less than the rest of the congregation. That is what Barack's former church has done and it is not a church filled with poor individuals, Oprah and several other high end officials with money go there or have been there. So why continue to support a Reverend who makes discriminatory comments in church? This is a church filled with many African-American leaders, so why are they sending the message that discrimination towards any group is okay? That is the real issue. Obviously Barack stopped trying to make a difference there. He left and is now trying to dismiss the fact that Wright married him and his wife.

Honestly, I feel that these celebrity endorsements hurt the candidates more that help. Madonna or others don't really have any ties to these people, and yet people respond as if they do. As if Madonna will be in the Oval Office dictating the policy of the country. I have read many times on this board how, "I hate that (add expletive here)celebrity so I won't be voting for Obama/McCain. As much as I enjoy Madonna's antics, I think she should realize how controversial she and that she may be clouding some very delicate issues. I would bet Obama would rather do without her "help."
