Getting Greedy???
This year will mark the last season for FX's acclaimed Nip/Tuck.
Now, there's just one lil' problem - and it's quite big actually. The network has to negotiate the actors' salaries for this final season - and they want a big payday!
Currently, salary talks have been ongoing for weeks with the stars of the show.
During Season 5, last year, Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh were each making around $125,000 each per episode. Fellow co-star Joely Richardson was making about $100,000.
But according to reports, this year Walsh and McMahon are looking to double their salaries, along with many other cast members looking for raises.
So what have they done?
The actors have hired a top law firm to help negotiate for them. Their legal team also represented The Sopranos star James Gandolfini during his 2003 renegotiations lawsuit.
As for Walsh and McMahon, one of their main arguments is that even though they'll be available for other jobs, some networks might be hesitant about hiring them since Nip/Tuck is slated to run ’til 2011.
And, although last week McMahon didn't show up for wardrobe, all of the actors are expected to return to work on Monday.
Let's see if they get their pay increases!

Although the last season wasn't spectacular… the previous 4 were to die for… I think they deserve it for the great work they did prior to season 5… I'm just sad to see the show come to an end

Nooo way. I used to LOVE the show even up to the season with the masked murderer! But last season was just too weird for me…Sean and the young girl and the son on ice..idk just didn't watch it.
Though I think they're both decent actors, the show works waay too hard to push the limit and as a result, alienated some fans. They don't deserve double their salaries.

One of the best shows ever! Julian is always half naked and once told a girl to put a bag over her head while he banged her. AMAZING! I love it!
of course they deserve it. this is one of the greatest shows of all time. and i dont see either of them getting any roles like this again, they need as much as they can to save for the future.

Hello!!!!! Season 5 isn't even over yet, pay attention and get your facts straight! This is the best show on TV, and I am so sad that it will be ending. I believe Julian and Dylan ABSOLUTELY deserve a raise, but forget Joely Richardson. She is the worst part about this show. And that thing that plays her son.

I usually hate agreeing with things, because I actually enjoy being disagreeable BUT I think they do deserve it. I love that show, but I didn't know this season was the last. That sucks.
Give them the money — it's their last season after all! People like Kiefer Sutherland makde $400K per episode so they should shell it out to these two as well. It's an excellent show but I'm so tired of waiting for the next season. It's been nearly a year since the last season and I'm hearing the next won't start until 2009! i hate joely, and the guy who plays matt. he's a freak and he looks like post-op michael jackson! i watched this show for a few seasons, then got bored with it.

settle the 3rd's and 4th in line with a 27% increase from last year as they are 1. replaceable and 2. that's a fair offer.
decrease the percentage as the list grows
Keep in mind; The guest stars may demand high wages and productions should need a good chunk left for them as the season moves on. would also be nice if people recognized what a great outline in line and every other line Nip/Tuck offers television today. ratings rating ratings people!

This story was on tvguide today as well. Here is what I said there - No, they don't deserve more money. I have never even made more than $15,000 in a year, let alone $125,000 for doing 1 episode of a show. Especially considering the show is already getting tired and will pretty much go by quickly now with the limited number of episodes spread out way too far. Maybe if actors and producers were paid what they actually deserve, we would have better quality shows and less commercials to pay for their insanely high salaries. This applies to both shows and movies.

It's just ridiculous. All big name actors are over paid.
It's the same with footballers in england. What do they do?!?!?!? There are doctors and nurses saving lives everyday and they work for pittance but these jumped up actors and sports stars with over inflated egos feel that they're entitled to hundereds of thousands of pounds/dollars for farting around on the telly and doing sod all.

Season 5 sucked ass. The quality really went down the tubes after they moved to L.A. If they can bring the writing back up to snuff like the previous 4, then give the boys the money they want. And I want a shower scene in every episode.

Give it to them. Are actors overpaid in general? Absolutely. But they are only paid as much as they are worth and these guys are making someone a lot of money.
The actors on the show Friends were making 1 MILLION per episode and there were SIX of them, so that means just for their parts it cost $6M per episode. If these guys want $250K I say give it to them.
