Jack White Claims He's Not a Sellout

Jack White's not happy with the 'suits'.
The song that he and Alicia Keys put together for the new James Bond movie went straight to…a Coke commercial!
It didn't premiere on the radio or MTV.
Peeps heard it first in an ad!
Jack wants to make sure we all know that he had nothing to do with the sellout decision.
Here's his statement via handlers:
"Jack White was commissioned by Sony Pictures to write a theme song for the James Bond film 'Quantum Of Solace', not for Coca Cola," read the statement. "Any other use of the song is based on decisions made by others, not by Jack White.
"We are disappointed that you first heard the song in a co-promotion for Coke Zero, rather than in its entirety."

Oh Please, this whole "Don't be a sellout" is bullshit. If musicians didn't want to make money off their music then they would be giving the CD's away free. It isn't any LESS of a sellout to sell music to coke for a commercial than it is to put it on an overpriced CD. Musicians, enough with the false integrity, we aren't all stupid and we don't give a shit if you make money so get over yourselves.

Does he not know that 007 is a big commercial for Sony products? You make music for people to hear it. Who really cares where it's heard first. Everything is done to make money. Saying any other crap is just pointless and dumb. Everytime an artist makes a big stink about their music, I am done with them. Luckily for me so far, most people who do are people I would never care about in the first place. I just wish now I wouldn't have to hear his dumb song on the movie, maybe I can plug my ears.
I don't see why this is such a big deal. Jack wrote an original song exclusively for Coca Cola called "Love is the Truth" which aired in 2006. If he intended this new song to be for Coke, I think he'd say so.
