Mariah's Done!

Mariah Carey has squeezed all the juice out of her most recent album, E=MC2.
As we mentioned last month, E=MC2 "only" sold about a million copies, as opposed to the millions and millions and millions her previous album, The Emancipation of Mimi, sold.
E=MC has already released 3 of its singles, though we can't even name one besides Touch My Body.
The next single was said to be Migrate. But, according to reports, the release of Migrate, which was supposed to come out on September 30th, has been canceled.
Luckily for everyone, it seems there might not be any further singles.
Time to work on some new material, girl!

She should have had Migrate be the FIRST release. It's by far the best song on the CD. It's a shame it won't be released as a single now.

Let's be honest here. We must never ever forget Mariah's incredible talent we all knew and loved back in the 90's. Her music is part of the soundtrack to my middle school years.
That being said, I think most people can admit that since her 2001 film "Glitter" it's been a roller coaster ride in hell for poor Mariah. It was oh so painful to watch the iconic Mimi bomb. If I was lucky enough to be her I'd throw in the towel and spend my days rolling around in my money rather than continuously try to comeback. She proved herself ages ago…no need to keep trying to appeal to new generations of fans. There are plenty of us already out there.
Oh, thank god! Maybe she will just go away altogether!

Too Bad. E=MC2 is a pretty good album, one of Mariah's best. What she SHOULD have done is released "Touch My Body," "I Stay In Love," "Side Effects," "Migrate," & "Thanx 4 Nothing." Those are the catchiest songs on the album. Guess she wasn't much into it this time around, oh well… looking forward to some new shit from Mimi.

Just FYI, Madonna's album has outsold Mariah's in worldwide sales (by about 1 million copies so far) so I would suggest you do your homework before making ignorant statements in your posts. Madonna's album hit #1 in like 36 countries (including the US) and Mariah's paled by comparison. So she sold $1m in the US, so what? Maddy
has sold close to $650k in the US so far and her tour isn't even here yet.
And Madonna's still on her 2nd single and it's still in the top 10 on the Singles sales chart, Club play chart and Dance "Airplay chart. Where were Mariahs'

Honestly, you can't compare record sales 4 years ago to today's record sales. Albums just don't sell anymore because of iTunes, Amazon, piracy, etc. The MOST an artist can sell nowadays is 2 million tops.
E=MC2 is a really good album, but a HORRIBLE choice of singles. Wtf is "Still in Love", "Side Effects", and "For the Record"?

Wasn't it a clear indication that this album wasn't going to be a COMMERCIAL success based on the fact that she deemed this album Emancipation part 2.

I have done my research and She just performed I'm that Chic at Canadian Idol to promote her next single. if that has changed again, then it's news to me.
They both are very successful and have touched billions of lives. They both deserve respect and don't need to be criticized so harshly and compared to eachother.
It is impossible for every album to sell equal amounts each time. Both albums are quite good. I just get pissed every time I hear negative bullshit about my girl MC.

I hav always been a Mimi fan but this album sucks shit! IT IS BORING! I like the first single released 'touch my body' but the others suck! She has regressed not improved over time! I hate all the hip hop shit she dished out in this album, she needs to go back to basics. I still love Mimi though.

E=MC² is the best album since butterfly to me.. and i really love it still.. it sold about 2,000,000 copies worldwide.. almost a million less than hard candy.. but its still not a failure.. it sold almost 1,200,000 copies in the US!
