it's probably the company of the jet that's been flying him around since he got back from Beijing. he might as well take the opportunities that come.
He sucked on SNL, 15 mins. about up.

why not? he spent years swimming, his mother spent God only knows how much money and time taking him to the pool. He has won medals before without this attention, so why not? It is not going to last forever and at least he is getting paid because he worked hard and represented his country. Better than that stupid 'champagne in a can' company paying paris $1million for holding the can. If he doesn't become the spokesperson for these companies, they will just offer it to someone else.

Ok, love me some Phelpsy-poo, but this was the dumbest thing I've ever seen - it was kinda a 'jump the shark' moment.. Whoever wrote it should be fired and whoever in his camp who said "yeah, he'll do a commerical if he travels for free" should have been more clear on the content of said commerical.
