Adrianne Curry is speaking out again!
The reality TV star and deep thinker is responding to the comments she made about Hurricane Ike in a blog post titled "Hurricane Victims pay for their own rescues?".
On Monday, Curry once more took to her blog, this time saying:
"People took LSD and read my Hurricane blog
It's the only way they could have seen words I didn't type! I have been accused of having no heart, and wanting people to die! I never once said that. My own flesh and blood, my brother, lives in Florida. He tries to ride out stroms too. Guess what? I think he is a dumbass for it, and should pay if he ever has to be rescued. This is my own BROTHER, why would I think BETTER of the folks I don't even know!
Picture this, firefighters swarm my home and inform me if I do not leave I will die..In 3 days, I will be swallowed by an inferno of death and flames. Can you imagine me saying "You know what guys? I think I'm gonna hunker down here, I'm a California girl now…I can make it through this!"??? Would you feel super terrible for me when I dial 911 minutes later screaming to be saved? Sure you would, that makes you human…but shouldn't I have to pay for my rescue when I was warned? Not many people try to live through the burning of their homes here, sounds stupid right? What is the difference in a hurricane? Do you know how many times my friends have left their homes, only to find out the fire died out or changed direction? That doesn't mean they wont leave the next time! Wouldn't you think we were a bunch of MORONS if you saw us hunkered down in our homes, doing shots, and refusing to leave out of pride?
I would NEVER want a person to die…EVER. I NEVER said it, and I am sorry for those who dropped acid and mushrooms before they read what I had to say and make believed they saw it. I even had a girl wish DEATH on me! Some people make me ashamed to be human! Today on the news, I saw islanders BEGGING for help. My heart gopes out to them…However, when the news reporter asked them why in God's name they would stay on a SAND BAR island when told they would most certainly die, did they stay…..they said "because this is my home, I am an islander"! Are you fucking serious? These people put themselves, their children, and families in harms way! Now they are begging to be shipped out, why didn't they leave in the first place???????????????? There is NO logic and NO reason behind these arguements. It is waisting the time of rescue workers, amnd the time of those who have to clean it up. Like we wont have to spend a lot of money cleaning up…like their expensive rescues dont add up!! These people are starving and have no water simply because they thought they would STAY on an island issued CERTAIN DEATH warnings…the FIRST the National Weather Service has EVER issued. When you play with Mother Nature, you will get burned."
And she's not even close to being done talking!
CLICK HERE to check out what else Adrianne had to say.
"I could lose EVERYTHING, my home, my car, my records, my paperwork, my passport, trinkets given to me by dead friends and relatives, and every dime I have…as long as In have my health and my family..I will be the richest woman on earth. I know hard work, and I am not afraid to rebuild my life quickly if I lose it all. i am from Tornado Ally. I have MANY friends who lost it all…EVERYTHING..and they got their lives back on track within 1 year of doing nothing but working hard to get there! We are talking F5 tornados, more power than Hurrican Ike had.
Please people, don't put words in my mouth. Do not think I am heartless for questioning the stupid logic of others. I say what most people don't have the fucking balls to say…and I am not ashamed of it. In national parks, if you fail to follow park rules and need rescued because of it, you are billed.
People say they cant get gas…they have experienced it before. Guiess what? if an earthquake hits and we have to get out of here, we have GAS CANS in our garage FULL of gas for this VERY reason! PREPARE PEOPLE! I have food and water stock piled in my kitchen to ensure I will live. We have gone through plans together on what we would do, where we would go, how we would meet up, defend ourselves…you name it, we have gone through it! If you KNOW a natural disastor can hit you…P L A N! I would rather sit through 26 hours of traffic then risk my death. I have weapons for anyone who thinks they will take me out of my car…food to last me for MORE than a few weeks…PREPARE.
Might I suggest for anyone living in a hurricane prone zone to have gas cans full of gas in their garage….food stock piled…etc. Make a PLAN with your family, run through it a few times. Think of EVERY SINGLE THING that can be thrown at you in times of crisis and PREPARE! THAT makes sense.
My heart DOES go out to all the people out of homes. I hope you all can rebuild your lives quickly. I am sure 2 years down the line you can look back and be PROUD of how you not only survived, but got your shit back together! I have faith in humanity when it comes to working hard to gain things back for themselves. Maybe the Katrina victims, after three years, have worked hard enough to afford a apartment…and can give their temp living to those who are in need from Ike? I don't know. I would say three years of government aid is ALOT. I know the Tornado victims don't get that much where I am from, and they suffer the same, if not worse devestation as Hurrican victims. I don't have the answers for any of this. I am not a heartless bitch. If I stayed in my home after warnings of certain death…and then needed rescue, I would expect to foot that bill. I would expect my own MOM to do it, I expect my brother in Florida to do it….why wouldn't I expect the same from everyone else?"

Go Adrienne! I agree with her. Who gives a fuck whether or not she's a 'celeb' if her opinion is valid.
This woman has never had to evacuate from anywhere! How could she possibly know how it feels to leave the only home you have to go God knows where…..sure, these people probably should have left, but when faced with the unknown, and the devil you know, which would we choose?
Ok
I hate to say it, but the woman has a point.
omg
She is right they are also endangering the lives of rescue workers by staying I think also slapping child endangerment on a few people should happen as well.
who is this person…..she is not a celebrity…she is trash
OMG she's such an idiot!
Shut the fuck up you dumb bitch!
Vot For John McCain for the sake of the Western World
Don't like her at all, think shes kinda flaky, but she DOES have a point this time. People really need to think of the fact that even though they want to be tough, they are endangering more than the lives of their loved ones, they are also endangering the lives of the brave people who risk themselves to help them. However, everyone should be saved when possible, nobody should be left behind just because they were stubborn.
I kindof understand what she is saying. Not the money, dont give a shit about that. But I have a nephew who is an EMT, so my first thought when people wont leave for this kind of stuff is always, why would you want to put someone elses life in danger just so you can stay. That is what they do, they put these public servents life in danger for thier own selfish reasons, and yet they always have to be rescued. IT IS WRONG, and they most likely do not care about other people.
shes actually right in some way… being warned and not leaving? there are plenty of shelters and what not. however, i don't think her choice of words were very P.C.
I think she is kind of right
look, people in Texas City weren't even told to evacuate and they were PUMMELED! so it doesn't matter. people in crisis are still people. she needs to just shut the fuck up already and put her energy in helping others instead of criticizing people that had every right to make their own decisions. the point is, people, communities are in need.
She is a smart girl. I'm glad someone calls the idiots on something! You go girl!
Re: CrownMeQueen –
I agree, once they are stupid enough to stay, then they have to be rescued, but by putting others in danger.
omg she is so annyoing
I love her!!!
She will always be the original ANTM!!!!!
perez, somtimes i wish you would SHUT THE FUCK UP, ur worst than andy.she had every right to say what she said, the way u have the right to talk all the insesnitive shit you write.it is true, they should pay for their relief if they opted to stay. xcuse her if she didnt say it as if she was adressing 3rd graders ..who gives a fuck, these ppl are grown people .u choose to stay? pay for ur shit then,U WANT TO BE COOL AND RIDE THE STORM? then u face the consequnces.start taking responsiblity.
i agree with her 100%.
furthermore, i think there should be fines for those that chose to stay behind.
can you begin to imagine what this search is going to cost the nation? and how much manpower is going to be involved?
if people had left, as they were told to do, they wouldn't have had to do the search in the first place. and should there have been a large-scale emergency at the same time, those rescue-workers would have been available. the idiots that chose to stay behind have caused a calamity that's worth a good penny - that money could have been spent on rebuilding, or on aid to those who actually deserved it.
She does have a point…
Most of the people here in this blog actually agreed with her. I also agree with her. They were warned and then when the worst happened they were going nuts. But is the duty of America to help this people even though they were warned and no they don't have to pay to be rescued.
You can't argue with her, she's completely right. Why would you risk your life because it's the only home you've ever known? You can make a home somewhere else if you leave, you risk the chance of death if you don't and more than likely, your home will be destroyed. Use your brain, people.
I think she was right they should have to pay, if they wanted to stick it out and then realized they were dumb and needed help. There wouldn't be such a big problem if people would just listen when told to leave. Maybe if we did enforce a fee more people would leave and we would have a lower death toll and more people to help out with the clean up rather than rescue!
Re: Ninka –
I think I'd choose the path less likely to get me killed.
I don't know who she is but I agree with her. It is no different than having to pay for an ambulance.
once again she is 100% right, celebrity or not. Remember the 1st amendment?
She's spot on. People ARE stupid. I could take or leave Ms. Adrianne… but she speaks logically here. The same with the assholes down in New Orleans a few years ago. While I do feel for these people who lose every aspect of their lives, it's the rest of the U.S. that winds up paying for it all. There'd be no need for search and rescue or clean water, food, and supplies if these people weren't so god damn lazy and/or proud.
The cousin of a guy I know refused to leave his home simply because his home might lose electricity, no one would be there to start the generator, and his tropical fish would die.
Can we say, Darwin awards much?
She has a point, I agree with her and to who asked who she is- Adrianne won the first season of America's Next Top Model.
Re: Arshe –
I agree with you about charging people who stay behind with children.
I'm glad someone is being honest. People just don't want to hear it, even if it is true. If more knowledgeable people are giving you a warning, and you ignore it, then need help from those same people digging you out of this hole you dug yourself, it's your own ignorant fault!
I have to agree with her on this one Perez. In fact, I was thinking this the other day, but I didn't have the balls to say it because all you damn liberals would tear me a new asshole for thinking what I feel is right. See, cause liberals are the only ones right in this world…at least they seem to think so.
Never thought i'd agree with Mrs. Brady on anything other that the non-medical use of…
Oh i am at work.
But this i do most certainly feel her on.
Shit, even her dumbass understands how ridiculous staying behind an Evacuation is. They should be charged for any expenses… though some might say we leave them and let them pay the real price.
Don't really care for her B U T she is right. She may not have worded it as diplomatically as some sensitves would have wanted, but you'd have to be dense not to see the truth in her words…staying not only endangers your life, but the life of the person that has to rescue you..think about it.
America is the bailout capitol for dumbasses.
RIGHT ON
I'm an IKE evacuee and proud Houstonian and I damn well agree with her in the statement that people who had MANDATORY evacuation should have fucking left. I've seen with my own eyes, up close and personal, the damages that Ike has done. Even officials and people trying to lend a hand in helping the cause are infuriated with these people, who are seen "demanding assistance and food and water" when its their own damn fault that they underestimated the storm.
People need to face reality and stop blaming a reality tv star.
Re: Ninka –
Honey, it would take an asshole not to leave ANYWHERE knowing you'd risk your life. Would you have stayed in the twin towers if Bin Laden himself texted you the day before with insider info? You sound like a poor, uneducated slob yourself.
…your only fucking home to god knows where. It's called getting out alive, idiot. There ARE MANY shelters who would have taken in these people… volunteers, The Red Cross, Churches, and Temples.
If I was "poor" and living in the so called "only home I knew" you bet your ass I'd put my babies in their carriages and head inland to higher/safer ground. Shit… even being a few hours inland could make or break you.
Rock on Sister! I agree with you!!
Enough Sarah Palin pictures already!!!
I am from Louisiana. We have been affected by many hurricanes. Hurricane Rita and the recent Hurricane Ike has taken it's toll on our area. I sat and watched new coverage of people saying they were going to "hunker down" for the storm, even though they were under mandatory evacuation. This is stupid. I understand that it is your home, but don't you value your life more than a structure.
I agree with Adrianne 100%. If you don't leave during a mandatory evacuation you should be responsible for the cost of your rescue. Billions of people's tax dollars are paying for emergency services every single day. I'm sorry, if you are stupid enough to stay when a mandatory evacuation has been ordered and transportation, shelter, and other necessities are provided, I don't want to pay for your stupidity.
I have evacuate through 3 major hurricanes. They were all order by the parish I live in. The first one I evacuate for, I had no money. I stay in a shelter. Yeah, it was crappy. But it got me out of harms way. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. I value my life more than a dwelling. Call me crazy, but you can't enjoy a home if you aren't alive to live in it.
I appauled Adrianne for making her opinion known. She makes valid points and people should take that to heart.
OMG! Does she ever shut up?? Like anyone cares what a no talent skank who is scratching to hold on to her undeserved 15 minuts of fame has to say.
I used to hate this bitch, this makes her a little more tolerable to me.. she is right.. sooo right, anyone who is fucking talking shit about it is retarted, maybe she shouldn't have been so blunt in your face about it while it's happening, but ya know what? She posted it on her fucking blog.. she should be able to speak her mind anyways, and she has a valid fucking point…
SHE"S RIGHT!!! Wonders will never cease! Seriously though; I am from New Orleans and when they say we have to leave, we leave! DUH!
It is always the ones who don't heed the warnings and stay behind that do the bitching that "help" didn't come quickly enough; a bunch of geniuses I tell you.
Re: StAnK*gIRL – ………………………………………..And this coming from a person whos picture is of a girl with stars on her nipples!!!!!
i totally agree with her. if they can ride out the storm then they should be able to ride out the aftermath. those people are going to the same shelters and the same unknowns after the fact. people need to seriously stop being so selfish.
houston is still bad off as well. but most of us are still helping others around the city although half of houston is still dark. focus on wishing people well. not on what people did or didn't do. that's not going to change anything. man, this woman really is pissing me off! i actually liked her before this.
Don't apologize!! You are SOOO right!!
Ok, I agree with her.
perez…why do you give her the time of day…
Currie is totally right…I agree with her completely…these dumb ass people are endangering the lives of others who have no reason to be in harms way to begin with……….In my opinion they should get bitch slapped by rescue workers
Oh jeez…we have to do this again?!?! Like before, its hard not to agree with some or most of what she says. Her argument is pretty cut and dry.
Many of the viewers of this website are not aware that very few counties in Texas and parishes in LA ordered mandatory evacuations. For instance, Orange County, TX was not under a mandatory evacuation, nor told they were in imminent danger. Many of these citizens are the ones being rescued. The victims of Hurricane Katrina received the same warnings, and none of you would have dared say these things about them. I am from South Louisiana and have lived through many hurricanes and feel the victims should be treated equally. I think there is a bit of reverse racism going on when white and hispanic citizens are expected to follow evacuation orders or suffer the consequences and African American citizens are not held to that same standard.
She needs to shut the f*** up! Did it ever occur to her that some people cannot just up and leave? People have different and personal reasons why they stay. Mind your own damn business fame whore!!!!
PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A HURRICANE don't understand what a hurricane really is, no matter how much they watch 'em on TV.
Re: Rachel74 –
Please dont compare an act of terroism to an act of nature.
Um lets look at it this way… we've had to prepare for 3-storms in 6 weeks… not cheap… we had the Rita issue where people feared dying on the highway as did back in 2005 when they swore we'd get hit with Rita but didn't. Looters!!!! Ok work your ass off all your life for what you have only to have some looters come through and take it all. Not to mention the shelters… yeah lets take our kids to an area where a child molestor might be sleeping right next to you where they serve you one peanut butter sandwish every 6 hours, one cup of water every 4 hours on a cot. This b!tch has no sense and she's clearly the one doped out! Funny enough, she acts like rescues are well underway when they are stalling on the rescues again! Believe the media… if you do then you're just as dumb as she is. I am here seeing it for myself Ms Curry, I challenge you. Why don't you give up your home to a Galveston resident who DID evacuate and lost their home. Better yet, bring your ass down here and help us in the clean up efforts… oh but I'm willing to bet you're too good to assist. Go back under the rock you came from. I wish nothing but the worst for you!
ok.. so take advice from kid rock..
Who the eff is this chick?
She is totally right and I agree with her 100%
Oh everyone STFU! You KNOW SHE IS RIGHT!
Yea well I am NOT accusing you of saying that you want people to die…I AM however accusing you of being a selfish bitch. You don't have any idea how it feels to have something and you can't give it up..Or maybe you do..Remember when your beloved "Chris" accused you of being a lesbian?? (I'm sure you do) Yea well you didn't want to lose him now did you? You were ballin your eyes out like a mother pig about to be slaughtered…Seriously.. Now think about how those people feel. Besides, sometimes the news will broadcast bad information and it sends people into an unneccessary panick mode..So before you call other people stupid, you better check yourself!! p.s. Who gives a shit about your brother….?? I don't
I agree with her 100%!!!!
They arranged for them to leave because its DANGEROUS! Why on earth would you stay somewhere where its almost certain that something horrible is going to happen. They provided FREE transportation for those to leave so that they can be SAFE. The government is paying for your safety. Especially if you have children! thats just rediculous! you stay you will PAY the consequences. Sure they should help, but she has a valid point!
She's absolutely right. It's nice that she speaks her mind and doesn't back down to anyone.
I agree with her, she said that People who knew that there was a certain death warning and KNEW that there was FREE TRANSPORTATION AND SHELTER, should have evacuated and they didn't… now they should pay for it. Effing morons putting rescue workers in dangers because they decided to sit back and have a beer instead of leaving. And don't twist my words because I am only talking about those who knew there was a certain death warning, knew of free transport and shelter, but chose to stay and put others lives at risk.
i couldn,t agree with you more……i also know dumb asses.who thought it would be fun to ride it out…..sometimes i wonder why the brave 1st responders even bother………….
I completely agree with her. And those people that say they didn't have a mandatory evacuation.. If you know a hurricane of great force is coming, COMMON sense says you leave. But apparently our country is lacking in that and that is why we pay for others' stupidity - welfare, illegal immigrants and more. It's sad and I think it's even sadder that Adrienne has to apologize for saying what she thinks. Perez, you do it every day and never apologize. Why should she?
Re: blondie1979 –
What are you high? EVERYBODY said the same thing about the Katrina victims. If everyone would of left like they were told, they wouldn't of had half the problems they had.
What a fucking idiot. Does she not understand that the majority of Houston was not evacuated? I have friends who live in Kath whose roads are flooded and their ceilings are caved in. I cannot believe that she validates her hitching because "Her brother lives in Florida." I cannot believe someone can be so dense.
Give me a break. I agree with her. Yea she isnt the sharpest crayon in the box but homegirl has a point. Why would you stay in a place they are telling you to leave because its unsafe? Really though? Why?! If you are told to leave and you die.. whos fault is that? not the government, not FIMA but your own. You didnt listen to the authorities and now you have to suffer the consequences. If they tell you to evacuate… EVACUATE.. You are only indangering others who have to risk their lives to go in after your sorry ass who thought they were tough enough to sit through the storm. Get real. Cut the shit and evacuate when you are told. well done adrienne.
people try to make her sound crazy but she has lots of logic to me and I agree with her on most of the stuff she rants about
She never seemed very bright, but I agree with her completely on this.. Why should I have to pay for people's stupidity?
i totally agree
Re: QuiVon –
hahahahaha!! Now that's some funny sh!t… great point btw… For those of you who continue to read the comments and yet you still judge and side with her—you're a bunch of sad individuals! You're getting first hand information from someone who resides here and yet you run with what you THINK you know… man oh man… how quick we are to judge and complain and whine… no wonder this country is the way it is… for those of you who give a damn and offer your prayers and support without ridiculing, GOD BLESS YOU… For those who are still bitching, you're some extremely cold individuals who have no idea what this storm has put us through or what Rita put us through back in 2005. Or what Gustav or Eduardo put us through in the last few weeks… this has drained us financially, physically, mentally and emotionally and all you guys can do is sit back behind your PC's and complain… how about positive attitudes to pick up the spirit of the people who live here or were forced by the city to stay put??? Jeez.
Why do you hate her so much, Mario? Because she doesn't kiss your ass like so many other celebrities who think you'll talk shit about them about your blog? Whatever. I think she makes COMPLETELY VALID points in this post!
she's drunk blogging. "I have weapons for anyone who thinks they will take me out of my car." Oh yeah her killer I.U.D. She's an embarrassment to be named ANTM or one of the Maxim Hot 100. I bet they are rethinking that. No one rambles on like that sober. Get help.
Re: Ree in Houston – Re: QuiVon –
Yes, everyone should value their possesions and money, more than a human life. What was I thinking.
I could not agree with her more. Everyone I have spoken with agrees as well. If you are warned that you could lose your life and make a decision to stay then it is not fair for you to risk the lives of rescue workers and cost the country money to come and get you after the fact. They did everything they could to get people to leave that island. There were shelters made available etc. Is it convenient decision to leave your home? No. But it should have been an easy one. Protect your life first. Posessions can be replaced.
It is a sad situation for all the people who lost their homes and posessions. My heart goes out to those that did. But thank God they are alive!
She talks WAAAAY too much. BLAH BLAH BLAH
SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT AND WHO CARES????????
I feel sooo sorry for Chris… Look at him! He has to stay fucked up to be with her nasty stank ass
Re: alice79 –
No, I am not in any way high. I very distinctly recall that celebrities were in fact complaining that the rescue of Katrina victims was taking too long because "George Bush hates black people." Many of the people who were not under mandatory evacuation orders did not have access to transportation to shelters because it wasn't provided and they simply couldn't afford it on their own. When all is said and done, these rescue missions will cost A LOT less than those of Hurricane Katrina. While I think that those with the capability to do so should have definitely left as I did, I understand those who could not afford to, and those who did not have access to public transportation. All that is covered on the national news is the people who had access to these things and failed to heed the warnings. Most of the rescue missions have been to help those who were not under mandatory evacuation.
Re: skanky – That's what I'm sayin!! She gots to be high if she thinks we want her opinion. Blah blah blah times infinity.
u go girl!
i agree with her. if they tell you to get your ass out, move it a long. not following those clear and lucid directions puts my brother law enforcement officers/rescue personnel in danger. the way i see it, if you stay, you are selfish because you are then going to risk others' lives to save your ass.
lol does Ms. Adrianne Cunty plan on traveling down to coastal Texas and Louisiana and purchasing gas and "MORE than a few weeks" worth of food for each family to stockpile? Not everyone has a Brady to suck money out of!
It's easy for all of you in Colorado and Michigan other central US states to say "WELL I'D NEVER BE THAT STUPID!" when it's never actually happened to you. Don't look down on us when you have never been in this situation and will never actually be forced to choose between a hurricane and possibly getting stuck on a freeway in the same storm. Where was all of this self-righteous criticism for the Katrina victims? Why did we bail out the 60,000 people who stayed in New Orleans if all of you agree that they were stupid to stay and deserved what they got? ***Could it be because it's an election year you've all been brainwashed by the media to believe Texas=Republican Party=Cause of all US economic problems/cause of all hurricanes/cause of AIDS in Africa etc?***
once again, i agree with her 100%. criminal charges should be filed on anyone who endangered a child, elderly or disabled person while choosing to hang out in 'certain death' areas who then had to be rescued. it's bullshit. really, how can people be that fucking stupid?
Re: momtoall –
I'm sorry and where do you reside? Are you feeding off the media? Clearly you are. I'm here… I'm seeing it… Tell me this… how many families were evacuated with children? Can you tell me how many? I'm not saying that someone should value money more than human life but um, you're supporting someone's opinion who DID JUST THAT! How many people are complaining about their tax dollars being sunk into the rescue effort? Isn't that material bullshit? You're complaining about your tax dollars to save "the stupid and defiant" right? So clearly YOU VALUE your money more than you do human life… We ALL sink out tax dollars into government bullshit which we cannot control… this one might MIGHT save lives if FEMA will hurry and respond… it's taken FEMA all the way through 3:30 this afternoon from Saturday to start searching for victims in Crystal Beach which was impacted hard… Again, I ask for the publis to be sympathetic and encouraging. This is a hard time for us ALL in the US affected by Ike…
I agree with her. People need to think about it before they say she's wrong. Its costing people money, time, and risking their lives to save people that were told to get out! In AZ they have the "stupid motorist law" when dumb people like this decide to drive through flooded areas and they get stuck, they have to pay for their own rescue. I think these people should have to deal with their choices and continue to 'ride it out'.
I am a Hurricane Katrina survivor. I have lived in the path of storms my whole life. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. Adrienne Curry is right! There are some people who will NOT leave their homes. They are visited by police & given ID numbers so they can identify their bodies after the storm….and STILL they stay. This is stupidity at its finest. And rescue workers should have to risk life and limb…and society fit the bill…for heroic rescues of people who REFUSE to help themselves. I am not a hard ass when it comes to hurricane survivors. I know what it is like. I have lived it. I have lived it more times than I can count. At some point, people have to be told that they must leave or they will literally and figuratively "Pay the consequences."
chris, take a dump on this bitches chest. maybe then she'll stfu.
i have to AGREE with her. don't really care for her, but she's absolutely right.
Re: Renfamous –
lol… lol…lol…lol….. Thank you.. until you live in a coastal city where you're constantly and I mean on almost a weekly basis to prepare for a hurricane where you've sunk all your money into the preperation or evacuations… I mean come on. You end up taking your rent money and using it for hurricane preperations and evacuations then the storm doesn't even come… then what? There are many stories out there similar to this… jeez, where's Angelina and Brad when we need them. Bring on the more positive REAL celebrities here that actually give a damn! I realized I spelled this chics last name incorrectly… tell you how much I really pay attention to her fame, or lack there of!
I think celeb opinions are crap, but I'm with her on this one. There are too many "victims" these days which makes us become more victims–of their stupidity. I'm all for helping people out, but only when necessary, but never because of stupidity, laziness, etc. If they were staring down the barrel of a gun, would they move? Why is an impending natural disaster any different?
As much as I would LOVE to agree with her (sarcasm), do any of you posters ever live paycheck to paycheck? have you ever been constantly on the verge, one paycheck away from homelessness? if so, which i doubt, imagine that you have 40 dollars to your name and 4 days till payday. and a quarter of a tank of gas in your 200K mile car that barely gets you to your minimum wage job? tell me where you'd go in the event of a mandatory, or even voluntary, evacuation. not everyone has the means or the ability to flee mother nature. quit bitchin' and count your blessings that you do.
damn straight, adrianne!
you're 100% RIGHT!
I completley agree. After Katrina the government made sure these people had more than enough warning as well as transportation and shelter provided to them free of charge. For people to want to stay for possessions that will probably be destroyed anyway is stupid. If their possessions were that important that they put their lives in danger then they should have to pay for the service. When you get in an accident and an ambulance is called you are expected to pay for the ride and any care you recieve, why should these people be any different when they deliberatley put themselves in harms way.
Adrienne is right she often says things that most people agree with but don't want to say for fear of being ridiculed. More power to her for having bigger balls than most of us.
