More Pain in His Future

It's back to the surgery room for Shia LaBeouf.
The Transformers star was involved in a late night car crash earlier this summer, which was finally determined to be caused by another driver running a red light - though Shia was drunk driving.
The crash sent him to the hospital.
When he left, he did so with a cast on his left hand. And now, it looks like his hand might need some more surgery.
In a recent interview, LaBeouf says, “I’m working right now. We propped [my hand] together so I could get through ‘Transformers’ and then I’ll go have another surgery and be back to 100 percent.”
Shia is currently promoting his new flick, Eagle Eye. The movie comes out September 26th.
LaBeouf also admits that his hand was worse than what was originally reported.
Shia adds that his fingers are "good", but just "broken."
As for the accident causing delays while he was filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Shia was very vague about that.
He did say about director Michael Bay that, “He plows through. I think we had a day down, two days down, and then we got back to some second unit stuff that we had to get anyways, and I was back two or three weeks before anybody projected me coming back.”
Let's hope Shia's late nights of drinking are over as well.
And after he's done with all his surgeries and rehabilitation, he should be thankful it was only his hand that was injured.
It could have been a lot worse!

The relentless Melissa Kates has her lying interns on here again, spreading false information under assumed names. The TRUTH is that the results of the toxicology tests that were done at Cedars-Siani on the night of the accident HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED YET.

These tests often take 6-8 weeks for the results to come back (remember how log it took to get the late Heath Ledger's test results back)?

What we do know was that the other driver received the citation because of running the red light, BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER OR NOT LABEOUF WAS LEGALLY DRUNK!

LaBeouf was definitely drinking that night - the only question is whether it was early enough in the day for the effects of the alcohol to have worn off by the time the accident happened at 2:30 am.

*IF* the tests exonerate him, then fine, but I'm sick of these paid PR phonies coming on here spreading unproven theories as fact. They insult the intelligence of the real readers of this and other blogs - if he's not guilty, he's not guilty. But I'll wait for the cops to announce the test results and go from there.

And besides was a DUI test actually performed and the results came back positive or was it just assumed that he was drunk? Because if it was assumed it's wrong to say he was drunk driving if it hasn't been proven.
Get your head on straight Shia - don't fuck this up (like everyone else these days) before it even starts - You could be great!
Re: Kms0001 – The test results have NOT been announced yet. It's been about 7 weeks since the accident, full toxicology screens can take this long.

The LA Sheriff's deputies who responded to the accident thought that there was enough evidence to book him under suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving. They didn't administer a brethalyzer test because of the seriousness of the hand injury - cops don't stop to do sobriety tests when someone urgently needs medical attention,

There have been many reports that LaBeouf was drinking earlier at the night (he and Ms. Lucas were at the Troubadour to hear a band playing. One of the bartenders at the Troubadour said that LaBeouf was slamming down whisky shots and was dancing. Ms. Lucas says that he was not drunk. His director, Michael Bay (who was not there) said that he was told that LaBeouf only had two drinks, much earlier in the evening.

If Bay is correct, that might have been enough time for LaBeouf's system to assimilate the alcohol, so that he would test under the legal limit of 0.08. We'll know for sure once the test results (which will test for drugs as well as for alcohol) are finally in.

Ok so all I have to say is this… everyone needs to chill out on this guy… yes driving drunk is stupid no question - IF he was drunk: which I'm sure we'll never really know. But I can say from personal experience that being in a car crash like that is one of the freakin scariest things that could happen to a person being in the car that flipped over thats some F'd up shit and it takes A LOT of time to get back to normal after something like that. Not to mention the stress of the effect it might of had on his job with the possibility of haulting a MAJOR production, and then he's also gotta read what you schmucks think of how he runs his life. THe bottom line is that none of us will ever know what really happened and for everyone to get on here and talk shit about stuff they don't know is ridiculous. HERES A TIP: He's an actor a very talented actor at that, just let the guy do his job, enjoy his work, and get on with your lives.
