Viewers didn't seem to mind Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton - portrayed hilariously by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler - in lieu of Barak Obama (The real one!) on SNL's season premiere on Saturday.
The 34th season opener, hosted by golden boy Michael Phelps, debuted Sept. 13th with a 7.4 rating/18 share in the metered markets. That's the highest local-market average for an SNL season premiere since 2001 and an increase of 64% from one year earlier on Sept. 29th with a 4.5/11.
Let's hope the voting booths experience a similar increase!

…that Tina Fey is a riot. And what an actress. "One Fine Day" we will have a government run by the people and headed by intelligent, worthy folks.

I can't be the only one who thinks Michael Phelps is pretty much the fugliest guy on television. I already know you bitches who can't get off his dick will say "you're jealous…blah blah blah…gold medals….blah blah blah…shallow…blah blah blah…he's hot" but no one really gives a shit. He's fug, and I'm glad his annoying 15 minutes will be up by January.
ratings aside, and to no real fault of Michael Phelps, this was the weakest SNL i've seen in a long time, particularly after having a whole summer to come up with good material. I was so disappointed!

I wish people would just get off this guy's nuts. Yeah, he won all those medals and shit, but I'm sick of seeing his fugly mug everywhere and hear everyone gush about him. Maybe if he wasn't such a fucking dickhead in person it wouldn't bother me as much.
I watched the whole show. The only funny part was the opening segment with palin/clinton parody. Everything else sucked. I especially hated the segment with the restaurant waiter. Really bad. I hope it gets better after this!!!
Oh yeah and Sat Night live…Phelps is a swimmer, not a comedian, he was terrible.

Props to MP for his gold medals, but I really don't care either way about him. Everyone knew that Tina Fey was going to make an appearance…that was the big draw and she didn't dissapoint!

Michael Phelps had NOTHING to do with the good ratings.He was terrible it was a pain watching him "preform" in each sketch he was in. I love SNL and liked most of the sketches he was not in. But, we was the worst host in a long time.
They didn't watch it for this boring fugly guy! He ruined the show if anything. He shoudl stick to swimming and getting DUI's. That's what he's good at. People tuned in to see Tina Fey portray Palin. No on wanted to see Barrack Sadam Hussein Obama the muslim on a New York t.v show you fat fuck!
I think Phelps did a great job. The skits were kinda lame, except for the last one when he promotes the Michael Phelps diet. Hilarious!! But it's not his fault that the skits get lamer and lamer each year.

Tina Fey is okay at times- other times, she is essentially one of the most sarcastic and mean spirited women I've ever seen- and when that shines through, it is just sad to me. She had a pretty easy time writing mean girls. Hope her daughter doesn't meet people like her mother when SHE gets to school. After the first skit, Amy Poehler, who now has the arrogant attitude showing, sucked last night. It's time to wipe that slate clean. No one was worth a crap. The skits were so LAME. Obama is probably so relieved he wasn't part of that cluster fk.

I watched it for the Tina Fey/Palin skit. Then I changed the channel.
They totally watched for Tina and not this tool. He is so fucking ugly I would even blow him at a gloryhole. He look doofy as fuck and if that is what SNL wanted him for in hopes of having people laugh at how ugly he is; that much like his now forgotten gold medal wins, is a novelty that wears thin quick. Who really gives a fuck about this uber douche?
