The End Of An Era

After 10 long years, MTV's Total Request Live will soon be off the air.

Our home away from home is no longer!

On Monday, TRL exec producer Dave Sirulnick said that the final episode will take place on a Saturday afternoon in November.

However, he did make it a point to stress that the show wouldn't be over for good.

Hmmm…..

Mysterious!

Sirulnick said that now would be a good time to give the show a "break."

TRL originally debuted back in September 1998 and most of you probably remember Carson Daly hosting it.

He BETTER be on the final show!

And Nsync needs to reunite to say goodbye to TRL!

Sad.

It's dead because there are no videos to request anymore! It's all crappy shows.

So now MTV will show absolutely NO music anymore.

Forget taking TRL off the air, MTV should go off the air all-together. Alls it is anymore is crappy "reality" shows. During the VMA's, I wondered how they could give out awards based on music videos when they NEVER show videos anymore. They should have the RTV awards instead.
This is not your mamas MTV….and it sucks.

MTV lost it in the late 80's/early 90's with all the shit shows they started whipping out…it's not been MUSIC TV in 20 yrs. Maybe if they got rid of all those shit shows and go back to music, it might be tolerable. lol Even tho I don't listen to any of this crap music anyway…still…give the young peeps what they long for

MTV hit the jackpot when they stopped the crappy "music videos" and went reality. No one watched videos. They're for the birds

I remember when the original TRL showed all of the music videos, it declined when they let screaming fans speak while the video was playing and didn't even bothered to play the whole thing.
