His History Of Extending The Olive Branch
Filed under: John McCain
According to an analysis by The Washington Times of legislative records of the presidential candidates, John McCain's history of working with Democrats outdoes Obama's work with Republicans.
The silver-haired vet is more bipartisan than the Illinois Senator.
For McCain, Democrats populated 55% of his political partners through the past two Congresses, which included some difficult issues such as campaign finance and global warming. For Obama, however, Republicans composed only 13% of his co-sponsors during his time in Senate, which included honoring civil rights icon Rosa Parks with a postage stamp.
If you want some more numbers, McCain has voted with the majority of Senate Republicans 85% of the time throughout his Senate career, while Obama voted in favor of his party 97% of the time.
So, basically, McCain is a Republican who happens to agree with Democrats more often than Obama, a Democrat, happens to agree with Republicans.
So you see, even the Republican presidential candidate is voting Democratic!

mccain!
Fuck Obama. That fuck-boy won't take but a hot second to put on his turban, right after he secures the election, IF his fuck-ass were to ever get elected.

Re: Andy27 –
hi andy
how do I say” Jihad”'?
lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
mccain
baracudza
NOTHING WRONG WITH VOTING DEMOCRAT, AS I MYSELF AM A DEMOCRAT, but no fucking way in hell am I voting for that Curious George look-a-like, that they try to market as a negro. FUCK THAT. This country is going down the same path as Venezuela who was so fucking mesmerized and enamored with Hugo Chavez after his brilliant "Change" campaign (sound familiar?), and now they're all in deep regret after seeing the fucking monster they elected into presidency. This fucking towel head is nothing to be trusted, in my opinion.
perez i love you, but i have to say, that is the stupidest reasoning i have ever heard.
i agree with kid rock: celebs who know nothing about politics should not voice their uneducated, uninformed opinion. it sways the opinion of people, and persuades the undecided voter to vote a certain way. let the candidates do that work!!
The man knows how to get shit done, instead of self promotion of his Cult of personality.
Re: Andy27 –
andy, I have a crush on you.
do you know that I like boys, to?
vote mccain
I love mccain
Did you actually just try to spin that as a reason to vote for Obama??
are you serious?
MCCAIN/PALIN '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COUNTRY FIRST.
Re: harrybalsac – Why dont we team up and gang-bang the Palins? You take Sarah, and I'll take that fine-ass motherfuckerin husband of hers.
WOW! Nice way to put your "spin" on that…McCain is willing to work with anyone who is FOR the country…Obama will work with mainly Democrats and frankly, neither party is always in the right so get over it Perez. What's interesting is that only because of Joe Biden have I really paid more attention the democratic ticket. I just can't vote for him because of Obama. If it was Joe Biden running, I'd have a really really hard time as a Republican in casting that vote. Obama kills it for me. McCain/Palin 08
so the democrats should vote for mccain.
#1 Andy27 - you are ignorant
#2 its unfair to compare the voting records here when you look at the republican party that has been in the white house. Why would Obama agree with the shit they were trying to pull? I do applaud McCain for standing up against his party though. There are just too many things about his policies that I don't agree with, such as overturning Roe V. Wade, taxing employer provided healthcare benefits, and trying to eeturning to a strict constitutionalist nation which would rely on a document which was created when many of the issues we face today were not around.
Japan's government infused their economy with $24 billion to try to stave off the impending global economic crisis. What did the U.S. do? We gave more money to Iraq (whom already had a surplus in the billions from oil reserves) and shipped off more soldiers.
They push for energy independence, which will keep us a fossil fuel reliant nation until the next time we have an oil crisis, rather than working towards renewable energy. The governments of Venezuela and Russia were probably exploding with excitement while watching Rudy Guiliani shout "drill, baby drill". If we remain fossil fuel dependent, then we are still dependent on those nations for their oil reserves. We can't be a military/political power without being an economic power as well.
Re: Andy27 – IT'S RAMADAN ARE YOU FASTING? YOU CLOSET ARAB!
Re: DaBitchIzIndakrazihouze – aah, thanks! yeah, boyz are a great thing. they make the world go round and round.
Whether he's reached out more or not, he's still a fascist just like the rest of the republicans.
Andy 27 you are a pathetic republican plant.
IF MCCAIN GETS ELECTED THE EXCITEMENT ALONE MAY CAUSE HIS 72 YR OLD HEART TO GIVE OUT!
Ha. I'm starting to like Perez more and more. He's actually being less biased and is also trying to cater to the (many) Republican readers he has on this site.
-
Thanks, Poohbear.
What's stupid is COMPARING A 30 YEAR RECORD to a two term record. wtf? Of course he's going to have more bipartisan agreements with the democrats after being in office for 30 years. I am sure Obama will have as many if not more in 30 years himself. DUH.
Andy 27 gets dumber, more racist and beligerant with every post. But again, racism is a MENTAL health issue so I'm going to ignore it/him/it.
Re: LettyB –
my heart ♥ pounds for U.
Re: LettyB – Hahaha, far from being a towel-head, but good try. I come from the land of coffee and cocaine, GET IT RIGHT, FAT GIRL. You sure love talking shit, but I guarantee that behind that silly-looking avatar (which is probably still better looking than you), sits a fat girl with no life to call her own, no friends, and certainly no dick in her life. How sad, how sad.
McCain has voted with Democrats more than Obama has by a factor of a few times.
McCain solves problems, Obama reads a teleprompter.
Obama is the most liberal Senator in the Congress. Good luck getting elected.
Re: torrrieB – Well then it's a good thing Palin isn't running for President, right? Do you remember how many known VPs in American history? You likely only remember the ones from the past 2 decades because they're just more recent. The truth is that the VP has little say in the big scheme of things.

McCain/Palin '08!
Haha, Perez, love your spin on this. Please folks, take heed of the feeling from every other country on the planet. We are scared of what will happen if America continues along the very destructive path of the last 8 years. Make the brave choice - after all, Dumbledore said it best - "sometimes you must choose between what is right and what is easy"
BTW, can someone please explain to me how if there is supposed to be a legitimate separation of church and state that politicians can make decisions about life-saving medical advances on the grounds of their personal belief? I have heard many pundits on cable news (let's put it out there, mostly on Fox - yes, I watch both sides of the biased media) talking about the being founded as a Christian nation, but doesn't it implicitly talk about religious freedom in your constitution? I find this SO puzzling!
Re: Andy27 – Another day…..another stupid Andy post. Listen you racist piece of shit…..have you seen the size of your ears? Next time you criticize anyone looks….take a look in the mirror. If anyone looks like a "towelhead" is you…you stupid fuck.
Re: SmellyVirus/MileyCyrus – Heh. You're a natural blond, aren't you? Perez has his head so far up Obaba's ass it's not even funny. Why hasn't he posted about ACORN yet? ACORN, the group associated with Obama, and his experience as a community organizer is back in the news for voter registration fraud.
The good news is that we now know what a community organizer does. He registers fake names and helps ACORN supporters get fake ID's to vote for the democratic candidate multiple times….
Re: Pocahontas – YOU'RE FUNNY!
Re: Andy27 – This ugly fuck is calling someone fat? Look at your big floppy ears, awful haircut, crooked ass nose & jay leno chin. Who the fuck are you to criticize ANYONE?
Re: Andy27 – SURE, TRYING TO PRETEND YOUR CUBAN! NICE TRY ANDY OR SHOULD WE CALL YOU MOHAMMAD!
Perez - you're actually TRYING to be unbiased!!
Thank you!!! These are the kinds of things that Obama's people DON'T want you to know…..and by the way, I would like to know HOW Obama is going to implement all this CHANGE he talks about.
I though FOR ONCE you were posting some REAL unbiased facts and statistics ! but no! ofcourse you had to have a partisan spin at the end, YOU ARE SO BIASED along with the rest of the elites in the media, but it's not going to make one bit of difference, McCain / Palin WILL WIN so get used to it PRESIDENT MCCAIN!! say it with me yall! Look at the electoral map in Zogby they are split even and PA is trending red, if PA goes red it's over for Obama, the Real Clear Politics electoral map has McCain AHEAD! so deal bitches, it's happening!
Re: LordKain – HEY I KNOW I AM NOT FAT! I COULD CARE LESS WHAT ASSUMPTIONS THAT FUCKTARD MAKES! JAY LENO CHIN GOOD ONE!
Re: Andy27 – NO WAIT YOUR PRETENDING TO BE COLOMBIAN??? LOSER!!!!
way to stir the pot P………….ca-ching……………can't get the vision of you rolling around naked in wads of cash
The McCain of 2000 is not the one running for president now. This guy has sold his soul to the far right, including taking on Adolf Eichmann as a running mate. Perhaps a President McCain would go back to be relatively rational. Sadly, the country can't take that chance after 8 years of Bush's all out genocide against the middle class.
Re: Andy27 – You are so fucking right on your ass should be running for president!!!
ANDY27
For President 2008!!!!
Re: Andy27 –
OMG, would you please read a book or something?! Or save your uneducated BS for the celeb postings and not something as important as the presidential election. You look to be just about the age McCain would seek to draft into the military. Are you ready to go to war with Russia over freakin' Georgia…or the Ukraine? Because there's where you'll be if Obama loses.
Thanks for an unbiased and honest report.
Yeah, and his bipartisanship this is what had me going "obama or mccain… obama or mccain" until he selected that insanely right-wing nut job as his running mate - and I'm a southern white woman, who's orginially from a town smaller than Wasilla, who shoots guns, and is a mother saying that!
It's a clear call that he's not going to be bipartisan as he once was. He's aligned and in touch with the far right and that scares the sh&t out of me.
….out of my head
Kinda shows you that McCain DOES have the public's best interest at heart and NOT JUST his parties! I think that's a good thing!
McCain / Palin 2008!
Re: Andy27 –
wow…please. if you have any more propaganda that you'd like to spew to make it any more painfully apparent that you're voting based on race and not color, please do so you fucking redneck.
I somehow don't think that's the point.. if anything I think it means McCain accepts that the Republican party does not have all the answers because there is no one perfect party. He's not a sheep like many party members tend to be.
Re: TwinSusan – If he did, he wouldn't have picked Palin as his running mate.
Obama/Biden 08
No, it just means that The Dems are only right 15% of the time. You are stretching Perez. Grasping at straws.
Re: LettyB –
Hi LettyB…

Re: Andy27 –

sweetheart.?
I'm voting for
mccain/palin
I love that bitch.
Re: Reneesouflee – There is DEFINITELY supposed to be a separation between church and state! It's very clear about that in the constitution. You probably should stop watching Fox because it is the most biased news coverage I have ever witnessed. I've actually stopped watching any show on FOX because they are so deceptive and just plain wrong 99% of the time about politics.
Re: madnifque –
in your dreams you stupid ho
Soooo basically what you are saying is that McCain is more open-minded and willing to work with both parties? SWEET….even more reason to vote for him!
Re: krazihottkelli/bitchygrl – HEY GIRL!
Give Obama a chance to play catch-up. After all, he's just over half McCain's age…
Re: Andy27 – Charming political anal-ysis as usual, Andy. I think I'll buy that bush butt-plug and come pay you a visit….
I love McCain. At least we know that he's not a muslim and is not going to push jihad, allah down our throats.
Re: edwin james – voting on race not color??…………..not defending his comments…………LOL on you choice of words……but we all know Andy's favorite thing to spew is protein based
Re: mamajud – Hey,mama! Would love to spar today but to be honest…both parties are pissing me off royally these days
Re: LettyB –
Will you be my little crazy baby? You, I could eat alive. I won't carve you a smile, I promise.
Re: Penelope Palin – hi pene…….I hear ya
your an idiot perez when it comes to politics…it means he is willing to work with both parties. you are just like the rest of the celebrities…right on man way to jump on what is popular….oh ya i guess that is what you do best…
Re: Andy27 –
QUOTE: "..This fucking towel head is nothing to be trusted, in my opinion. …"
———-
So, you mean, you d rather "trust" the Republicans whose present President LIES to you all the time? A President who supported(!) and was kind of "friends" with Osama Bin Laden s Clan and enabled the entire Bin Laden family, after 9/11 had occured to LEAVE the USA instead of QUESTIONING them? Forgot The "Carlyle" financial thing of Bush/Republicans? The ENRON scandals? The bribery and money that changes from weapans manufacturers and stock owners to Bushs Republican maf clan? Didn t Reepublicans tell you YEARS AGO that the US have WON the Iraq war and that the war is OVER???? So why are still American solders there being killed daily? (don t know however whether your "bought" Republican media MAFFIA lets you KNOW this….
If so, then (some) Americans seem to be even DUMBER than I thought in my wildest dreams about you! *G*
The Washington Times is not an accurate source, they strongly lean right.
McCain and his wife always look so "artificial" and PLASTIC to me…..like two figurines out of the Disneyland tourist shop….or from a McCarthy ad from the 50s…I guess the 50s is also where he mentally still lives! Not noticing that America s already LOST any credibility and credit internationally over the Republican years!
Hm, WHEN was it that the U.S. last had a budget SURPLUS??? Oh, was during the DEMOCRAT Clinton era….*G*
Re: Bavaria –
It's better than Allah ending up being our God, when we have no clue who he is. Obama is only 11% black and 18% is authenic. Obama is 43% muslim. Obama is more friends with bin laden's people than McCain.
Since you are so smart, please answer this question that no one will for me…I'm serious to.
Question: If muslim men get a million virgins when they die, then
what do the girl sucicide bombers get when they die.
A BIG NOTHING? SERIOUSLY, I WANT TO KNOW. MUSLIM'S ARE NOTHING BUT HILTER BRAINWASHING BULLSHIT. HILTER DID THE SAME THINGS WITH KIDS, HE WASN'T SMART ENOUGH TO BLOW
THEIR LITTLE BEAUTIFUL BODIES UP LIKE MUSLIMS ARE.
PATHETIC
IF THAT'S RELIGION, I'D RATHER MARRY SATAN.
NOW, ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION, MISS KNOW IT ALL.
Re: mamajud – avatar glitch…..sup w/ that??
Re: nyandrew – Bitch, you got some nerve stealing my avatar.
And of course, your ass is wrong. Obama controls the media.
He is their whore.
Now, back off bitch.
Sarah baracuda is mine. I had her first…fukhead.
Re: Andy27 – Andy, kiss me my love.
McCain's past voting record is exactly what makes him such a disappointment as a candidate. He USED to have principals, he USED to have the conviction to stand up for what he believed in, he USED to disdain the politics-as-usual right wing establishment that he now courts. He is now employing all the tactics and all the people he used to despise. His past voting record shows just how much of his own personal convictions he will forgo just to get elected, making him just another typical politician. I think its pathetic. The "maverick" label is such a joke now; he's no longer a maverick, he has come to embody all he used to stand against, for the sake of getting elected. What a bitter disappointment. I wonder what he really thinks of what he's doing when he's alone with his thoughts.
A few days ago, European TV stations made jokes (or rather say "a remark") on Mrs. Palin not even KNOWING ANYTHING about the laws Bush had passed after 9/11. Furthermore this stupid woman even connected 9/11 to IRAQ!! Something which Bush already admitted YEARS ago was one of his Administration s LIES to "produce" a cause for attacking Iraq for the sake of his stock exchange "friends" and war weapons manufacturing manager friends!
And: Obama has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a specialization in international relations from Columbia University. He also has a professional doctorate in law from Harvard Law School.
Palin has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism from University of Idaho.
Who do you want making the decision to press the nuclear button?
Re: Reneesouflee – If you actually do legitimate research on the seperation of church and state ( meaning not just looking up blogues and reading opinions on the net) then you will actually find that the entire and sole reason of the seperation of church and state was due to the fact that the people wanted to insure that the government could never ever impend on the peoples rights as it concerns to religion. the only way that they could see to alienate the government from screwing with faith based practices was to actually alienate it in the constitution.
So they NEVER wanted them to be seperate because they thought religion was weird and they NEVER wanted them seperated because they thought religion was worse or not as important as laws….. they valued faith based practices sooo much that they tried to alienate stupid law makers and constitution amenders from screwing with it…….. this entire country was founded, is based, and relies on the fact that we came here to be able to practice religion how we please… that's why we left england… that's why we're here…. if you actually read the constitution, that's what a lot of it is talking about
Re: Bavaria –
If it comes between a towel head and Republicans, what do you think? We don't care about a change we know nothing about. What we do care is that this country stays USA and Christian and not Muslim. Obama still thinks we have 57 states. He's not presidential material. If the other countries want Obama for president, then we definitely need to vote McCain.
What's scary about Palin in this regard is:
1. She said yes to the VP in a "blink of an eye" without thinking about if she's qualified, how it would affect her pregnant teen daughter. How many wars will she start without thinking through the ramifications? The power of the White House isn't something to take so lightly. Most decisions should be well thought out and not determined "in a blink of an eye."
2. If Iraq is a task from God as she claims, then God was wrong considering Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. How many other tasks from God will she interpret in her religious zealotry that will lead to 4000 troops or more dead?
According to Palin's recent interview, she wants to go to war with Russia. Perhaps Georgia is becoming a task from God , and so we will send more troops, spread thin our military, spend billions of US dollars all the while ignoring Bin Laden!
Re: JokerBaby – LOL!
God always gotta try and twist it your way….
Just goes to show you….Obama isn't for change….otherwise he would have been more open to voting bipartisan.
MCCAIN/PALIN '08
Re: PoisonBitchyIvy – Sigh….I think that shit you use to dye your hair green is seeping into your brain. You're mistaking Muslim with Muslim EXTREMIST.
So, all Muslims are terrorist? All Catholic priest are child molesters? Judging someone based of his name "Obama" and Color…..what a tool.
Perez, I never thought I would say this, but you are a moron. How do you explain that McCain has voted with the Bush administration's policies 90 % of the time??? How about talking about REAL issues? How about covering John McCain's, "The economy is still strong" remarks while our country is in turmoil. How about covering McCain's sleazy tv ads that are filled with lies and were actually proven to be lies? Read the REAL news instead of obsessing and drooling over celebrities and you would actually have a clue and some insight about what is going on in the REAL WORLD, Perez!
Re: crotchrocket –
Where is the LOGIC? Why should the US turn muslim just becuase the President is Muslim? Don t you have SEGREGATION of churcha nd State???? We have it since the 18th century I guess in Europe…*G*
Re: yourazzzuckzbuttermilk – What are you referring to? My political knowledge? You're an ignorant fucking idiot.
Re: kitten poo –
Fascist??? Are you joshin'? If we get a democratic president we'll all be speakin' arabic in 2 years.
i was really happy reading something pro mccain on here and then got to the last sentence. that is the worst logic ever. you turn something fantastic (ie being bipartisan, able to cross party lines to get stuff done, and all this on important issues) to something just retarded. the republican candidate realizes that you have to compromise and go against party lines to get stuff done, unlike the democratic candidate who is a naive idealist who wont be able to get anything done in the white house. and a postage stamp, really?
Re: Andy27 – Hey Andy27, just wanted to say Hi! Hope things are going well for you dear!
Oh, the TV news here in Germany are still giggling at Mrs. Palin's NOT EVEN KNOWING the "Bush Doctrine"…This is HILARIOUS! Do you really think such a person could manage international politics and relations??? Not to speak of your/her own COUNTRY?

effen crashed and everyone just lost their 401kz and retirements. I knew that this administration was going to steal that too. They learned it from Tony Soprano. The mob Union's stole everyone's retirements. Ain't shit we can do either. Fix this economy, you fucking idiots.
YOU SHOULD BE AWARE that The Washington Times is owned by Reverend Sun Myung Moon. Reverend Moon of the Unification Church. AKA the "Moonies."
wow, perez, i know that was difficult for you to do. thanks for being as unbiased as you can be. it isn't easy and i, for one, appreciate it.
Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters say John McCain is prepared right now to be president, and 50% say the same thing about Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Biden. Forty-four percent (44%) say the man at the top of Biden's ticket, Barack Obama, is ready, but 45% say he isn’t.
Bavaria, Obama is not a Muslim.
I think I understand a little bit now how this strange "again voting Republican" works in the U.S.:
There really is only one word strong enough to explain the attitude and Behaviour of the Republicans/McCain/Palin: Ignorance. And it's ignorance on the lowest level. But that's the only way to appeal to a party of uneducated fools: on terms that they can understand.
Face it: Most of these people voting McCain/Republican neither care about the truth nor look for the truth in issues and situations such as 9/11. They convince themselves how much they 'understand' about it and then try to push those opinions as facts.
And Palin is cut from the same cloth as these uneducated fools where down is up, up is down, truths are lies and lies are truths.
ONLY IN AMERICA would people not mind that they're so dumb they believe facts that have been disproved over and over ad nauseam
What those statistics mean to me is that Mccain will do what's right for us regardless of what people think, and that Obama will only vote with his party so that his party will like him and that he won't do anything for "the country" he will do everything just for democrats. Fuck Obama the thought of him being our President scares the shit out of me. (Oh and for those of you that say Mccain is just another Bush that would be like me saying all democrats are liars just because Nixon and Clinton were liars)
No, it means that he does WHATS RIGHT FOR AMERICA - regardless of who's "side" it's on. That is what this country needs! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!
MCCAIN/PALIN '08
re madnifque - PLEASE! I would love for you to point out the passage in the Constitution that explictly implies separation of church and state…you are ALMOST as bad as Perez, talking about shit you don't understand
Despite the announcement of a record $66 million haul in August, the Barack Obama campaign continues to worry about its funding. Politico reports that Team Obama rebuffed a request from Harry Reid for Obama to share the wealth, literally, to assist other Democrats running for the Senate. The cost of raising money has diluted their position against John McCain, and with the DNC essentially failing under Howard Dean, they can’t afford to part with a penny.
Re: honey97431 – Yea, and Bush tell the truth all the time right?
Sigh….yet another republican tool.
McCain's response to Obama's interference in Iraq
-
“At this point, it is not yet clear what official American negotiations Senator Obama tried to undermine with Iraqi leaders, but the possibility of such actions is unprecedented. It should be concerning to all that he reportedly urged that the democratically-elected Iraqi government listen to him rather than the US administration in power. If news reports are accurate, this is an egregious act of political interference by a presidential candidate seeking political advantage overseas. Senator Obama needs to reveal what he said to Iraq’s Foreign Minister during their closed door meeting. The charge that he sought to delay the withdrawal of Americans from Iraq raises serious questions about Senator Obama’s judgment and it demands an explanation.”
