Honestly, I was expecting it to be worse. It wasn't as bad.
Sure, she kind of f'd it up near the end but it was tolerable.
She cracked a few times, it was a bit forced, and the crowed did "boo" a little at the end.. but she wasnt thaaaaaat bad

Please, she was wonderful. I'm surprised she got to give it such a personal interpretation (most folks stick to the format for the US anthem) but she made me feel proud and I'm Scottish and live in Canada!!
OK I think she would have done a good job had it not been for the growling, WTF IS THAT? THAT NEVER SOUNDS GOOD FROM ANYONE!!! Then ending was also terrible! Why is it that when singers first come out, they try to dress up the vocals. The best singers out there, are comfortable with their voice. They can go and sing the song simple.

Whatever happened to just singing the anthem plain and simple? Fans have given up ever trying to join in the singing of the anthem because of the performers who see to think this song is open to creative interpretation.
Are there any real singers left? It seems like everyone now days relies on technology to "clean up" their vocals - any rarely does anyone truly sing live anymore (usually lip sync, etc.) - and this is the reason: THEY SUCK!

I mean, it was OK but I do not care WHO YOU ARE or who you think you are, only highly trained pro singers should belt this one out!!!! Why risk it if you know you are going to get booed???
