Bradley just donated $100,000 to the the anti-proposition 8 campaign.
Prop 8, which will be voted on in the upcoming November elections, wants to ban same sex marriages and make them constitutionally illegal in Cali.

Poppa Pitt's donation will help those fighting to protect the rights of gays and lesbians to marry in California and is the largest thus far to the anti-Prop. 8 campaign by an A-list celebrity.
In a statement Brad the Dad said:
"Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8."
Remember it's vote NO to Proposition 8 to protect the rights for gays and lesbians to marry.

They circumvented democracy by using the courts - they over turned what millions of Californians already voted for - they stole it - they didn't earn it - they stole it. I don't go for any radical group using the judicial to serve their own needs - which is EXACTLY what the homosexual agenda did. i'm not typically a fan of brad, but i love when celebrities, politicians, and/or other generally influential people get it right. seeing an a-lister like brad stand up for equal rights is refreshing.

I really do hope you all vote against this…I truly is discrimination towards all my gay people…it would not be fair to deny someone something in this case the right to get married with whomever they want. Stop thinking religiously, seriously people no one is trying to convert you. These people are just trying to live their life with their loved one who happens to be of their same sex, and really don’t hide we all have a gay relative so don’t think selfishly… Think of EQUALITY!

Why can't a sophisticated, smart, compassionate person like Brad Pitt run for the presidentail office? I know it sounds dumb, but it's true. I can't even bring myself to vote this November because I do not want EITHER canidate in office. And I'm not a star fucker, but someone like Mr. Pitt would be perfect- he actually cares about humanity, and would put OUR COUNTRY first like a good president would do.
The best president would be someone who hasn't been influenced at all by the lies, deception, selfishness, etc.. of D.C.

How is a few judges overturning the vote of the people equality? We already voted on this in CA back in '02. How dare a few elitist judges (3 to 4 vote) decide what is best! We need to go to the polls again and show these judges that marriage is between a MAN and a WOMAN! This is not taking away the rights of the gays. They still can have power of attorney, medical benefits, tax breaks, etc. But MARRIAGE is between a male and a female. Call it something else if you want to be together as homosexuals.

Re: Karabizera – As defined by Christian faith. However, the Christian faith has no place in the system when it is deciding what rights should be extended to the citizens of this country. Separation between church and state. Marriage is a contract between two consenting individuals who unite under the law. If the Church handed out the marriage certificates, you might have a point. But since they are handed out by the government and it is the government who gives out the special privledges that go along with marriage, your argument is not valid and therefor can not be taken into consideration.

I wish assholes would uphold the idea of "seperation of church and state" and leave their fucking religious beliefs out of our politics. It in NO WAY affects anyone personally, except for the gays and lesbians who are marrying..perhaps this country wouldn't be so fucked up if people would just accept everyone for who they are, and quit allowing 16 year olds to marry their 24 year old boyfriend and denying a gay couple of 15 years their very rights as a human. I think it's completely unfair and unjust that I can marry my man on a whim, yet half this country thinks that two men marrying is "sick" and "wrong" and should still be illegal! How about we start evolving as a nation and forget old world views that our ridiculously conservative founding fathers came up with.
