Good news to all of you Hollywood junkies, like us.

You might get a chance to win tickets to Oscar night!

Well, not inside, but at least along the red carpet so you will be able to spot the celebs.

Tuesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that they'll be offering 300 seats in an online lottery.

Starting next Monday at 9am PDT, celeb gawkers can enter online for a chance to win seats just in front of the Kodak Theater.

Potential winners can register up to four seats to win.

In the past, as many as 20,000 fans have applied for the opportunity.

The contest this year will end on September 28th at 9pm.

The Oscars will take on February 22nd.

Besides Heath Ledger and Milk, who do U think will be the contenders????

I hate the Oscars…..so boring! the droning on and on, the walking mannequins, the catty remarks by entertainment journalists. Give them all a cookie and send them home.

The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke, directed by Darren Aronofsky. It just won the Golden Lion- Best Picture at Venice Film Festival, was the movie to see at Toronto, and has Oscar Buzz even though it hasn't been released yet. It's supposed to be AMAZING!!!

It seems like you have a good chance of getting seats. The first, and only, time I did this I got tickets. And that was in 2003, when the red carpet was cancelled because of the damn Iraq war. So we got tickets to next year's Oscars.

Oh My god Who cares?! A ticket to stand out in the sun and watch people dressed for night time looking like clowns in the early afternoon sun. ugh, I'd rather be out hiking than be there listening to the vapid canned responses of those overpaid undereducated puppets.

Angelina Jolie should get nominated for "The Changeling"

  6. 6

    No DOUBT… Meryl Streep ! Lucky # 15

  7. 7

I hate how people think that Heath Ledger should get an Oscar just because he died before a kick ass movie of his came out. Don't get me wrong, I thought he was great, but an Oscar….get real.

Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road!!! YAY!!!!

  9. 9

Why does being gay or dead always get the Oscar?
Also, gaining weight for a role or wearing prosthetics?

  10. 10

if I don't li ve in the USA I can participate??

Aaron Eckhart really shone in The Dark Knight—I mean, it was kind of his and Heath Ledger's movie. Screw Christian Bale—yes, he's hot, but that weird growling thing he did was really retarded. And Maggie Gyllenhaal doesn't deserve shit. But the guy who played Batman's butler deserves SOMETHING, and same for the man who played the guy with glasses who faked his death. I, personally, am rooting for The Dark Knight to do a solid sweep this year.

Re: Kendra – It's not just because he died. It's because he was awsome in The Dark Knight.

  13. 13

I love the Oscars. And I think Robert Downey Jr might get an Oscar nod for his role in Tropic Thunder. Don't laugh, I'm serious.

  14. 14

It is too early to call it! Are you that dry on post TOPICS???

  15. 15

"The Changeling" looks like it's gonna be good. Angelina might get a nod too!

  16. 16

Oh, and Clint Eastwood will probably get a best Director nod too!! :)

  17. 17

I think everyone should be prepared for a Heath Ledger snub! As much as I thought he was awesome in "The Dark Knight", I just don't think the Academy voters would go for him! :(

  18. 18

Doubt, Revolutionary Road and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button will own this year.

  19. 19

Oh God if this year isn't Sean Penn's year for an Oscar for Milk, I'm boycotting the Oscar's for the rest of my life.

  20. 20

Milk has to be considered for sure and i also think The Road/Viggo Mortensen as the father will be a very worth while movie.

Heath should have won for Brokeback Mountain hands down, if he wins for TDK its going to be a consolation prize due to the fact that he died so young (and was so gifted). Don't get me wrong I think he was great as the Joker, but his Oscar winning performance was in Brokeback where the Academy snubbed him! :)
