So now that we know the babydaddy to Jennie Garth's character on 90210, the actress is finally speaking out.
Last night, they revealed that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly's four year old son.
And, today, Garth is talking all about it!
In an interview, Jennie was asked what she thought about the idea of Kelly having a kid.
"It was very confusing for me because initially the idea of having a son was my idea. I thought it would bring a great amount of depth to my character. Then the question came up, ‘Well, who’s the father?’ And I really hadn’t thought it through that far. So, I was like, Oh, I guess need one of those. It’s gone back and forth: Who and what and when and why? I think they settled on Dylan because Kelly and Dylan had such a passionate relationship in the past. Their relationship was so heated. It was kind of undeniable."
As for the producers choosing Luke Perry, it had little to do with his acting skills, but mostly with his timing to appear on the show.
Jennie reveals:
"A lot of it has to do with availability – where, when they would need them. It was never like, we definitely want to make it Dylan because of X,Y and Z. It was kind of like wait and see how it pans out. I didn’t even know for the first three or four episodes who the father was. And then I read it in the script, and I was like, ‘Oh, okay. I guess Dylan’s the dad. Great.’"
But more importantly, will Dylan make a cameo any time soon?
Jennie added, "I would love to work with Luke again. I love him dearly. And I also would love to work with Jason [Priestley] again. It’s a great question for the producers. I would be nothing but totally happy to have either of them there."
And will Kelly ever hook up with Brandon again?
Jennie reveals, "There are some people that think Kelly and Brandon belong together. It’s interesting, just because the father is Dylan doesn’t mean that’s who Kelly is ultimately going to end up with."

Tori should do 90210 even if they offer her $1. It can't get any worse for her.
I thought the show was humiliating for her. Dump the ego Tori and get your career back on track, although Shannon does hate her for "selling her out" in Tori's book. I'm sure Shannon deserved what she got. If anyone caught Jennie Garth's interview about her and Shannon linking arms on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, it was hysterical. Love Jennie Garth!

It's a show right? lol.. Because I'm getting confused, people seem to keep referring to it as if it is real life. Like "Kelly" and "Brandon" really exist and this "love triangle" is playing out some place in the 90210 as I type.
I was a HUGE original 90210 fan.. I haven't and won't watch this new version, unless ALL the same people come back as adults and they kick the little kiddies off the show. It can't be the same…. ever.

Have you noticed that everytime you read an article about the "new" 90210 it is about the old stars of the old show? Why didn't they just rehire the old cast and have it be about their lives in 2008?
