A new video featuring basketball star Josh Howard is burning up the internet.
A video of him dissing the Star Spangled Banner is getting many hot under the collar.
In the video he says, "'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."
What the fuckity fuck does he mean by that?!
He's entitled to his opinion, but we think it's a wack thing to say.
The national anthem is not a black, brown, yellow, red or white thing.
It's an American thing.

Anti-American? Please…maybe some of you people should consider the history and actual lyrics of the song. I would consider myself to be an American, but first and foremost, a NATIVE American. Is it wrong of me to believe that the Star Spangled Banner doesn't apply to all Americans? Yes, this is the "land where my father's died" but is it the "land of the Pilgrims pride" as well? Many of us would say HELL NO! Instead of being a racist/sexist/ignorant "Patriot", let's consider the historical background of the song, the history of the time period in which it was created and then lets discuss why many people don't believe the song stands for "American" values!
