The magazine world's been buzzing about some interesting green developments.
Former veep Al Gore may be taking over Plenty magazine.
The mag's supposedly super green compared to the others as it uses more than than 85 percent recycled paper and keeps its production process carbon-neutral through the purchase of offsets.
An announcement about Gore's involvement with the magazine is forthcoming.
Does he really need a magazine to teach peeps about how to live more green?

We in Europe have been using almost EXCLUSIVELY recycled paper for mags and dailies for more than a DECADE! So glad America the message of global warning and destruction of forests at least got thru to SOME of your non-Republican politicians ….finally…a little bit at least…somewhat….lol

Al Gores that last person to preach to anyone about being Green, I don't use a private jet, my electric bill doesn't equal the amount of my entire families for a year, maybe instead of trying to use being "green Friendly" as a way to boost his career and make money of the thousands of idiots who listen to him…he should just practice what he preaches and conserve his own energy starting with his mouth!

I also think the man's a hypocrite. I've read too many stories about him leaving the lights on in his hotel room when he's not there and flying in his private jet here, there and everywhere and having a huge house that sucks energy even after he made modifications to it. I'm also sick of hearing about his carbon credits…I think it's the biggest scam going. He was in the 2nd most powerful position in our government for 8 years and he did nothing to fight the global warming issue.
What is going on with Al Gore. He is totally letting me and this counrty down. the former twice elected vice president she be out there speaking on Obamas behalf. This country is facing so many crisis today. As a former vice prseident he she be out there speaking on his country mens behalf. where is his sense of duty?

Even if he is a hypocrite, at least he is trying to get the word out there about being more green. I know where I live there is very little movement in that direction. It's hard to feel like global warming is an issue when the weather hasn't produced major changes here and that there is so much rural land here people just don't see some of the problems like other parts of the country do. I know I could learn more. I've just started using reusable bags at the grocery store, and the store clerks and other customers don't understand why.

Yes. I admire Al Gore and I think that what he's doing is really good. He's one of the few persons who can inspire important numbers of people to cooperate with the environmental organisations. Really, Perez, you should not criticize someone who's giving his life to help save the Earth. Absolutely any way of doing it - TV, Politics, magazines… - is worthy. And YOU should begin by doing something to help, instead of just doing your interviews and gossiping. Donate or something. Volunteer. Anything.

Earth is our only home, and we're destroying it. By 2050 there will be already 48 countries affected by problems of water supply, in 50/100 years, there will be NO crude oil left (and we'll have destroyed a big part of the North Pole in search of the black gold that lies there) and the global temperature will have augmented in 2 or 5 degrees, which means: forest fires with losses of woodymass, important rainfall changes with a more unstable climate, storms/tifoons/floods a lot more frequents, increasing of the evaporation and consequently aridity, glacier melting with the consequent sea level elevation, massive deaths of coral reefs… And the list goes on and on…
Knowing all that, doesn't what Gore does make a little bit more of sense?

Maybe when he moves out of his 10,000 sq.ft house and quits using up 12 times the electricity that a normal house uses, I might consider him to be sincere about "being green". Practice what you preach!
