Many Americans are Catholic, I'm a Catholic, it doesn't mean we all want to return to pre-civil rights movement times when along with many other disenfranchised groups, women were denied equal rights including their own reproductive rights. Most Catholics and Christians do not want to take away a woman's right over her own body. What if she is raped, or suffers from healtrh problems in which taking a baby to full term will jeapordaize her life. Being pro-choice does not make you pro-abortion. Everyone knows that the Democrats support a woman's right to choose, and the GOP does not support a woman's right to choose. I can't understand why this is even news worthy. Actually, statistics show most people who check the Catholic box under religion are pro-choice, and for gay rights, the only ones who aren't are the crazy's like most priests and bishops, which is like 10% of all associated Catholics. So really this shouldn't be a big problem, especially since most people disregard and priest telling them how to vote, believe me I live in a very Republican area, and go to a Catholic church there where most of the congregation is liberal.

That would be a colossal mistake on Obama's part. Here's why:
1. It would signal that he believed he couldn't win with Biden.
2. In turn, that casts doubt on his decision-making ability since his (or Michelle's) first real "executive decision" was choosing Biden in the first place.
3. Everyone knows Biden is in good health. The candidates get a full work-up before running.
4. Hillary would never settle for playing second fiddle to the guy that stole the Democratic nominatiion from her.
That is ridiculous they want to deny him Eucharist because he has a different view on abortion. It's not like he's denying one of the doctrines of Catholicism. I mean it's true that the vast majority of Catholics are pro-life, but there are a handful that are pro-choice, I know several myself.
I went to a Catholic school for 12 years, and even my religion teacher would think that's ridiculous.
