Is Katherine Heigl finally going to quit smoking?
The actress, best known for her role on TV's Grey's Anatomy, is usually always spotted out with a cigarette in hand.
Is she getting paid to be seen with a certain brand of ciggs or something?????
Her lungs must be black by now!
But, according to her costar, cutie T.R. Knight, Heigl is trying to quit. Or so he says.
Knight, who's a former smoker, says he's supporting Heigl in her efforts to stop smoking.
He says, "You have to be ready and find it in yourself."
Heigl's said to be a smoker now for over seven years.
Quit while you're ahead!

People who have never picked up a cigarette can't begin to understand how hard it is to quit. I smoked for 5 years and on the 2nd try I quit smoking for real. It's been a few years now and I am so happy I quit, but still get urges under high stress. She should quit while she's ahead, because it is so much harder to quit the longer you smoke. Good luck!

I have never seen a picture without her smoking. It's similar to a heroin addiction they say.

I doubt it. Women once they're hooked have a very hard time qutting smoking. Usually it take a doctor's dire warning about dying in six months or getting emphysema down the road that might be about the only thing that would make a woman quit smoking. I've seen it over and over with my relatives - it's true.
If she quits, she will gain a lot of weight. I gained 50 pounds when I quit. You replace the cigarettes with food.
I quit smoking 4 years ago after a 2 pack, 35 year old habit. Not easy but it is doable and I did not gain any weight! It's all mental, you can do it if you WANT it bad enough. Or log on to Quitnet.com, worked for me!
it's hard to stop smoking. i hope she can do it though - she's more likely to succeed with support. good luck katherine!

It is hard to quit. Tempting to pick up a ciggy even after you quit. But it will kill you. That was my bottom line. I do say good for her and more power to her!!!

Why do you start smoking in the first place?
I dont get why Heigel gets ragged on about smoking when Lindsay Lohan rips parliment lights and so does SaMAN. Kate Moss smokes, Jennifer Anniston smokes.. 90% of hollywood smokes! I would too if I was being stalked by camera men or shit was being written about me on a gossip site… id be chain smoking.. cigarettes are better then coke and meth so for christ sake.. let em smoke cigs
I love a good strong smoke. Oh the sensation of having my lungs filled with a rich, full flavoured almost meaty mist. Ah… I am trying to quit though cause it makes you feel like crap.
