Misprint In Phone Book Leads Democratic Callers For Phone Sex Chat

Could a Republican have been behind this?!?!
It seems a "misprint" in a New Jersey telephone book has led to many people calling a phone sex service instead of reaching a New Jersey Democratic political organization.
The listing for the Sussex County Democratic Committee in Embarq's white pages incorrectly listen their number.
Instead, callers were greeted to a seductive female's voice, inviting them to pay for sex chat.
Glenn Lewis, a spokesman for Embarq, said that a "transposition error caused the last three digits of the Democrats' phone number to be misprinted."
Riiiight.
Lewis then assured that the number had been corrected in Embarq's directory assistance database.
Hope they got a refund as well.

I'm from Sussex County, NJ…and it's one of the few counties in NJ that is almost completely Republican. Democrats haven't won a local election in maybe FOREVER.

i doubt the republicans would waste time with something this petty. it was just a mistake. a funny mistake, but the only one who can really be blamed is the editor. the editor of our local papers makes the same kinds of dumbass mistakes, constantly. i spy a minimum of 10 errors in each edition - i could do 100% better than her, and i have no college training.
The problem was not caused by Republicans, the Democrats asked Bill Clinton for the phone number and he gave them the wrong one.
