As we mentioned earlier this month, Mariah Carey's new flick, Tennessee is set to be released in theaters this December.
We give her credit. After the release of that shiteous Glitter, we can't believe she'd try to do another film!
But, oddly enough, Tennessee has supposedly gotten good reviews at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Apparently, Director Lee Daniels was so impressed with her "acting" skills, that he's decided to cast Mimoo in a new film, Push, where she'll play "a Harlem social worker ministering to an obese, HIV-positive woman impregnated twice by her father."

She's gonna get "ugly" for this role!
And if that weren't enough, Mimi is also working on creating a new movie musical based on her hit Christmas album.
The movie will apparently center around "a town outside a city - perhaps not unlike Mariah's hometown of Huntington, L.I. - where a ruthless developer wants to turn it into one big mall."
Mariah's "producing partner", Benny Medina, says of the film, "Mariah doesn't want to let that happen. Her character uses song and love to keep the Christmas spirit alive."

The script, which is being worked on by Peter Barsocchini, who also worked on High School Musical, is said to still be in the early stages of development.
Mimi says, "Since I recorded the Christmas album, I've always wanted to make a movie to go with it, something that people could watch and hear and enjoy every year. I'm into it. I'm all about the holiday season."

I've been waiting for an "Mariah" opportunity!!! Ya know I did hate her. But after all the shit she's been through, and the people talking shit about her, this girl comes out with a smile at every performance, every photo op, she really is like a ray of sunshine through all the shit. I read that book PUSH. its actually a very sad book, and its very moving. if the movie is as good as the book, then i see it being a big hit, especially for those that are into that based on true events movies.
The book is about a young girl, who is sexually abused by both of her parents, and also gets impregnanted by her father. she looses her first born due to getting hit by he rmother, her 2nd child comes out mentally disabled. she laters gets diagnosed with HIV and it got transmitted by her father. her mother later dies of HIV as well.
its a sick novel but relaly good. hope the movie is as good as well.
I've read the book Push and there was no social worker in that book. I guess they're gonna add that now to the movie. You mentioned she get's pregnant by her father twice but I'm wondering if in the movie they're gonna mention how the girl's mother also made her have sex with her. Craziness. I hope they don't make that movie.
The last few pictures I've seen of her tummy I noticed it looks kinda weird like she had the fat sucked out.

I used to have so much respect for her. She DOES have a great voice, and I loved a lot of her songs. Sadly, this was when she first came out. Once she started hugging her titties over and over in one video, and when she decided she just had to contstantly throw in her high pitched squeal (we know you can go hi, girl, but you don't have to banshee it every bloody song), I just couldn't stand her. It's one thing to BE sexy, it's another thing to TRY to be sexy, and it seems too often it's the latter with her. She still looks great, but being trashy takes that away. She doesn't look bad in the above photo, and I haven't heard even one track off her new record, so maybe she's not as vomitous as I remember. In any case, her new movie is fine if it is targeted for family audiences or children, but if not, then it just comes across as her ego so big that she thinks people will want to watch as her mighty power of voice "saves" Christmas? But, I'll try not to be negative. I mean, so much negative energy from everyone can't be good, right.
