Produced by Stuart Price, who did Madonna's brilliant Confessions album, the song is The Killers doing what they do best but with a bit of a more danceable beat.
It reminds us of Coldplay's Viva La Vida.
Human should do very well for The Killers.

It sounds like a techno remix of a Killers song. The vocals don't match the music. I don't know if I like it. After Sam's Town I don't know if I can like anything they do (I did like Sawdust, but that was a hodgepodge of b-sides and such). That album was just too magnificent. If this is the single they're leading with, then the rest of the album must be just as boring and awkward. Hopefully it'll grow on me. I just love them too much to hate it.

Re: DALE – Uhh, Brandon's said many times in interviews that he's a huge fan of Arcade Fire. And FYI Sam's Town debuted at #2 on the charts in the US and Australia and #1 in the UK. So it didn't "bomb".

I absolutely ADORE the Killers. Adore adore adore. I must say though, this isn't a great start for their new album. I like the beat, I like the lyrics… but it's true, the vocals don't match the background and they just clash terribly. The song would be better if sung a capella… and that's saying a LOT about this band, because synth and whatnot is a big part of their style.

Excellent excellent excellent song! If the new album is anywhere near as good as this then it'll definitely be a hit. The Killers really are one of the greatest contemporary bands out there and I have the feeling they'll be one of the few groups whose music is still around in 30 years.
