What else will the man try and fail at????
Rumor has it that John Mayer is in talks to host an Ed Sullivan-like variety show for CBS.
We guess that since Rosie O'Donnell just announced a similar show for NBC, CBS has got to come up with their own.
Of all the celebrities out there, why John Mayer???
Mayer has joked that he would like the show to feature interviews with ex-girlfriends.
Yeah, that made us roll our eyes too.
Although, we have to admit that it might be amusing to watch Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson share a couch, in addition to Mayer's trademark facial contortions.
He really should just stick to making music!

He remindes me of that 80's movie, "Can't Buy Me Love"…
He was a nerd, then "paid" to hang w/ the cool kids and now they've dumped him and he's back to being the nerd he always was, but people like him even less now…

i dunno, i think it may be pretty interesting.. he had 1 episode of "john mayer has a tv show" that was pretty damn funny. it would be interesting to see what he's actually gonna do.

I agree that he needs to lose the ego, but I do love his music. I was watching TMZ once, and he sort of took over the episode, and it was pretty hilarious. Honestly, I'd check out this show just to see what he'd do. If he comes across as a douchebag, though, I'm out.

i have been a fan of john's for like 6 or 7 years. He really needs to stop trying to be so hollywood. He is ruining himself for his fans. I am having a hard time taking him seriously anymore. His concert this summer was no where near where it was the summer before. He spent half of the time complaining about people writing about him on the internet, ect. He just needs to be himself and play music… what we love him for in the first place!
