$70 Million Fight Gets the Greenlight

A New York judged ruled on Tuesday that legendary anchorman Dan Rather can proceed with a $70 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against his former employer, CBS, for firing him.
However, the judge said that Rather can't sue CBS Corp. for fraud, or the broadcaster and one-time parent Viacom Inc. on claims they interfered with his contract.
Dan's lawyer told the media after the ruling, "I think the breach-of-contract claim is essentially a slam dunk, there's no defense to that. They had fiduciary obligations to Dan and they breached them.”
A trial date will be set on October 7th.
Take down the big, bad 'man', Dan!

Funny how this is happening now; the whole reason for Rather being fired is because he was less than truthful about George W. Bush during the 2004 election. This is exactly why MessNBC pulled the plug on Keith Overbite's anchoring duties and reduced him to a commentator. HaHaHaHa
