George Clooney thinks he's too good for ER.
The long-running medical drama's last season EVER is kicking off soon and George still hasn't signed on to be part of it, despite the very public begging of his former cast members and the show's producers.
Where would you be without E.R., Georgie?!?!
Clooney's publicist recently told reporters, "He is on record as saying he is not coming back. It is something he has already done. He is busy making movies."

If you will recall, he Denied that he would appear in any more episodes after he left, but he came back as a "surprise" to end Julianna's last year. The blogs were abuzz with "rumors" and those that swore to know for sure that he was in the last episode…. so I watched, and was very pleased with how they ended it for the 2 characters. I would not rule out his coming back, even if all "official" statements now say he won't be.

ER is and always was too soap opera for a serious actor. Yes, it did help launch him into the roles he wanted to play, but it would detract from his credibility as an actor if he went back to it. Plus, if he isn't really interested in doing it, he shouldn't. There's nothing worse than a performance that someone's heart isn't really into. (See Britney Spears, circa HER ENTIRE CAREER. Axe the bitch, already, fellow Americans.)
Ok, he actually has a career and commitments, it isn't not shocking that he won't go back. Luke Perry not going back to 90210, that is another story. He's not successful, not busy, what the hell is holding him back? oh a guest stint on SVU. give me a break!
