Yea its hard. I moved to vegas two years ago. I go down to the strip every so often and the crowds get smaller and smaller.

Well, I would think so! If it is as bad as they say, people losing their homes, cars, not being able to afford college, then they should stay the hell out of Vegas and not give their money away! Just a thought . . . .

  3. 3

They still need to offer better deals, I got a decent 3 night stay at Venetian this weekend, but still…

  4. 4

then screw Vegas, come to NYC! :)

  5. 5

It took me several weeks to find a job and people were still telling how lucky i am to find work.. and it's no where to brag about.

We are all FUCKED one way or another. Vote Democrat people. Give mad thanks to Perez for keeping us all informed, one way or another. Vote Obama. Like my fabulous and bigoted Italian grandmother, who has NEVER voted repuglican in her life says, "Im voting for the white Obama." And there you have it. Straight from the mouth of my babe. Work it out folks. Work it out.

Mario Pendeja ACTUALLY thinks the movie W. is going to be bad! He couldn't be more wrong, it looks like it's gonna rank up there with There Will Be Blood and The Darjeeling Limited. Let's boycott this loser.
Search YouTube: Giuliani Responds to Sarah Palin Watching Tina Fey on SNL and then go sample on iTunes Miniature Tigers - Tell It to the Volcano, it's one of the best albums of the year and the album cover is my avatar.
As much as you guys think Mario reads your comments, he DOESN'T! He blogs all day and then goes to bed. He's a fucking vampire!

I guess I'm not being affected by this. I have a job and I'm not having a problem paying my bills or putting food on the table. When I was applying for a job I got a lot of offers right away as a massage therapist. I guess that's just me.

Last I looked reports were showing that the economy is just not moving up as quickly as it was. It's still moving upwards, just not as fast. Is that a bad thing? I think it's teaching people how to handle their money better.

What genius figured this one out…???
People who have less money…give away less to shit hole dens of iniquity like Las Vegas, anyway.
Grannies and moolies can't afford to fly to vegas to play the fucking nickle slots. Big whoop.
Torch the damn place, bulldoze it, then return it to it's native state and make it a wildlife refuge or state park.

blah blah. vegas is the least of my concerns at this point.

  13. 13

    Things have to get better!

  14. 14

its going to get worse before it gets better.
I hope we all survive this mess.

Years ago my friend went on a diatribe of how awful Bush would be for our country.
My friend is the overly dramatic sort an I dismissed my friends comments.
Forward 8 years later and our situation is even worse than we could have imagined.
I've been unemployed twice during the Bush regime. When Clinton was in office, I kept the same job for nearly a decade and I earned more money back then than I do now.

I go to Vegas once a month and there is hardly any traffic.
    It's great!

  20. 20

Just so long as Mr Wynn can keep Belaggio and the Wynn afloat then it'll be fine! If you're going to gamble with your last pennies do it in style!

Craptacular economy in the U.S.? Then please tell McCain and all the Republicans!! Cause they haven t found out yet!!! They say, everything is GREAT in America, and will get even GREATER if you vote for a further 4-year period of REPUBLICAN Government!!!! :-)

  22. 22

Yes, all your money went and still goes to corrupted U.S. corporate managers and Arab business men doing their filthy stuff with conservative American politicians and corporation leaders! Or at leaast HALF of your money, cause the other half your Republican Governemnt during the past 8 years spent on WARS for oil in foreign countries….oh, I forogt, THAT money then will ALSO got o the aforementioned persons….so 100 % of your money you re giving to the RICHEST and most corrupted people in your country!

America is sick….or brain-dead if you STILL and DESPITE knowing this again should vor for a 3rd term of Republican bullshit politicians who are the JOKE of the world (the latter you will not notice, I am afraid, as your biased Bush and FOX Media and embedded journalists accompanying Bush and Co. everywhere they visit (uninvitedly!) definitely won t TELL you!

  23. 23

I can give a crap about Las Vegas, it's about time that shit hole felt what it's like to be affected by the economy instead of taking people's money.

  24. 24

No surprise here… our economy hasn't been this bad since the Great Depression. BLAME BUSH. You're voting for John McCain? You're voting for more of the same. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Re: thetwistedlover – The only thing keeping NYC's economy alive right now is tourism… it's the number one tourist spot in the world. Other than that, we're broke.

  26. 26

The slots are so tight lately it's sad. :(

Good I hope the city implodes, it is nothing but a den of sin and vice and does not contribute any good to our society.
