What a relief!
To recap - early this morning, we heard the terrifying news that 54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins, a man who was convicted of stalking and threatening Madonna, had escaped from a mental hospital in Norwalk, CA.
The LAPD were describing the man as follows:
"…A very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies."
Now, we're VERY happy to report that the Los Angeles Police Department have captured Madonna's very dangerous stalker!
The LAPD announced that Hoskins was found around 9 a.m. this morning "not far from the mental facility from which he escaped."
He's currently in police custody and he's being escorted back to the hospital.
We're just glad that nobody was hurt while this man was on the loose. We're ESPECIALLY glad that he wasn't able to get close to Madonna.
Great job, LAPD! We're very pleased and impressed!

As you may know, the economy is in crisis due to the collapse of mortgage companies Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
Back in 2002, Bush went to Congress asking them to regulate Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae b/c he saw signs of trouble. Democratic Senator Barney Franks said that Bush was using scare tactics and that these two entities are stronger than ever and should continue to help those who could not afford housing.
In 2006, Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan (who some believe was more powerful and influencial than even the president) pleaded with Congress to restructure and regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac or they will bring about economic hardship. Many Democratic Senators & Congressmen, including Joel Schumer, would not listen.
Now look where we are. Thank you Congress for your ridiculous socialist policies. My education and my common sense says that if you cannot afford something, you can't afford it. It just proves the bigger the gov't, the bigger the problems!!

Yes, San Francisco has two newspapers. One with big circulation and credibility The Chronicle, and The Examiner, owned by an Asian woman friends with the repubs. But the Examiner is a teeny bitsy newspaper that none reads. In San Francisco they have another use the Examiner of course, wrapping fish.

I personally feel he is more qualified for the job.

It's about time! I can honestly say that I really wanted to like Obama. I just can't bring myself to vote for him. I do like McCain. I like what he stands for and what he can do for this country. Gay, Straight, bi, it doesn't matter. I am not taking away of the importance of gay rights, but on a National level when our security and economy are failing, we need someone who isn't going to vote one way just to please those who endorsed him. There is just too much smoke surrounding Obama to believe in his ideas of "change". It seems the only change he brings is the changing positions on different topics. He has even changed on the Don't Ask Don't Tell. If McCain had secured the ticket in 2000 we would probably be in a much better position than the mess we are in now with Bush in office.

I'm a straight, 24 year old educated female, who has close friends of different classes, races, etc.- and I do not know who I am voting for until I get ALL the facts - not because this celebrity says something, or candidate says they are going to lower taxes and people cheer( how they are going to do it should be more of an interest) Not everyone in this City is liberal, or gay. And not everyone's decision is made up JUST because of there race, sexual orientation, etc, and issues favored or not favored by one person or another.
I feel bad for this country because there are people in this country, like quoted above, that can make statements like that, and think that they are " right" in doing so.

I live in SF as well. I am a married Republican woman. My parents raised me Democrat in the South. When it came time for me to register to Vote and become an interested citizen of this country, I read up on the facts behind each party…I did a lot of soul searching….and in the end…I chose to Vote Republican because it represents my moral values….and in truth……neither party can fix the war or the economy by themself…there are many struggles…with the senate and congress being made up of different parties and there are processes that a Dem Prez or a Rep Prez have to go through to get things done….I didn't listen to my parents, or a celebrity when I decide to Vote..and it;s nice to hear that a lot of other people don't either…..Just because morally I think being Gay is wrong for your soul, does NOT mean that I dislike or hate Gays and want them dead..and many bloggers on here are just so ignorant…and make assumptions…I have family that is Gay….I may not approve..but I love them….I have Gay friends…I don't try to convert anyone….We all have to make our own choices in life….but I follow my salvation and beliefs…and not my lustful thoughts…so I make different choices..
