Guns n' Roses at Best Buy! Album To (Finally) Come Out Before End Of Year

Best Buy will be the exclusive retailer for Guns N' Roses' ages-in-the-making new album, Chinese Democracy, according to new reports.
Details are supposedly still being worked out, including the release date.
Why don't they make it as easy as possible for their fans to pick up the album and get it everywhere?
It sounds like Best Buy is offering lots of money to the band!
Sucks that you fans might have to use that expensive gas and go out of your way to get to a Best Buy!
Is G'N'R still worth it???

I live about 45 minutes from the nearest BestBuy. There is no way, in hell, that I would make the trek to pick up a GNR CD.
The thing about their "comeback" is that a large percentage of the music buying public DON'T even know who they are. I was born in '82, and I was still too young to listen to them (but I DO remember that AWFUL VMA performance). I won't be buying the album. Their music was great for the time, but they are so incredibly irrelevant now.
Yes, My gut instinct is that Axl Rose will pull off this comeback. He is going to succeed because maybe the perception of his unfair, we havent really heard his p.o.v, not me anywho. Also, he was GNR. His presence in that band was/is irreplaceable. I truly believe from the deepest depths of my soul that Axl Rose will undoubtedly deliver more then we ever doubted or expected. A sure bet that you'll be unprepared for; many believe a long shot that will pay big.
I don't quite understand why they would limit it to one retailer (hasn't the historically doomed other albums?) but it's not like it's more difficult to get to Best Buy than it is to get to any other retailer. Plus, as somebody else pointed out, there's always the website. I don't know if I'd get the album as I haven't heard anything off it yet. I don't buy albums 'cold' like that. I need to hear what's on it first.

I've heard the new GnR song. They have played it a few times on a local radio station. It is crap! REALLY BAD! Probably why they stopped playing it.

rather than running off at the mouth you'd know that BestBuy just bought Napster which means nobody has to drive anywhere to get it.

I saw GnR at Universal Amph. in 1988 or 89. Skid Row opened up for them. Once Skid Row finished, we had to wait two fucking hours for GnR to come on. Let me tell ya, they were un-fucking-believable. Axl wore a kilt and he lambasted the media and they fucking killed it. After 3.5 hours they were still playing and everyone was so fucked up they could barely stand (since we'd been waiting/drinking so long). One of the best concerts EVER.
It's only exclusive for like 2-3 weeks. Then it's being distributed to every retail store.

perez what are you worried about?! Even if you wanted to get a copy at Best Buy there are so many all over SO CAL, and one right in Hollywood/West Hollywood. And as others have pointed out, BESTBUY DOES HAVE A WEBSITE!!! you can buy just about everything they have in their stores, on their site and have it delivered to your home!
This album will sell well the first couple of weeks. Those who are either nostalgic or morbidly curious will rush out to buy it. After that, you will see the bottom fall out of sales, and it will be in the bargain bin within a few months. GNR's window has long since slammed shut. Nobody cares now. An entire generation has grown up and moved on since their last album came out.
