      I refuse to watch a Tom Cruise movie, let alone a trailer. In fact, I have a couple of his movies in my DVD library, that I haven't watched since his nonsensical diatribe about Brooke Shields and post-natal depression. Anyone want them?? They are free…and, they don't even have to go to a good home. lol

      The movie itself looks very interesting. I find it almost impossible to imagine Cruise and his cohorts being German when he can't even pronounce the word "Führer" correctly. That alone may ruin the whole ambience of the movie.

      i love war movies,i love tom cruise actor,i love bryan singer movies(even Superman)and the story is very interesting.The only controvery is the scientology!and i don't interest for that! I want to see this movie!

      I want to see it because it looks good and Carice van Houten is in it!! She is a Dutch moviestar, and in Hollywood an upcoming star!! At least, that's what I hope :) I am curious how she acts in this movie, but i think it's already great for her she got this part in such a big movie (and some more, look at imdb)

      Btw, people should stop saying all those things about Tom Cruise, i mean, get over it already! So he jumped on a couch, was crazy in love and is a little weird with his believes, but whatever, i mean its been a long time ago and he is an actor at the end of the day. i want to see him in good movies and not talk about his personal life or character, that actually nobody really knows something about.       This movie was a pathetic attempt for the cult and Cruise to woe the Germans. It won't work, Germany have the sence to know a totalitarian organisation when they see one. Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough Tom?

      Please . . . . . don't any of you know this? this is History. I mean the trailer pretty much gives you the plot. But history should tell you the rest. Remember the family of Cruise's character is very upset with his casting. Imagine your grandfather kissing your mother or father good-bye, and then Tom Cruise being cast. Look up what the Nazi's did to those poor men in the Valkyrie plot. But don't read it if you want to sleep!

      I think it was the History channel, I watched this documentry on the attempt of killing hitler before he came into power, but it never went as planned. In this documentry they reinacted the whole scenerio with the room, the table, whether the windows were shut etc…it was quite fasinating because the bomb in the briefcase that was to kill hitler was put underneath a table next to the leg. Hitler was never killed, just injured. According to the experiments, if the briefcase had been put on the other side of that table leg…he would have died.

      What a lazy, half-assed production, and shame on Cruise. Seriously. If you're going to play a german, and going to have a bunch of Nazi's in a WWII era movie, DON'T, for the love of god, have them SPEAKING PERFECT ENGLISH. What the crap? What, is Cruise too lazy (or uncommitted) to dive a little deeper in the role, get a speech coach, and at least TRY to SOUND the part? He could have at least attempted an accent.

      I bet they don't even have the balls to really show Hitler himself, for fear of people finding it unnerving or some crap (it's been 60+ years and people are STILL so touchy about someone even depicting the guy!)….
      if you're going to do it, at least freakin' do it right, Tom. All I'm saying.

      Re: zach – There are many movies already about von Stauffenberg and this episode of history btw. American ones, German ones… I watched the German one (Stauffenberg, 2004) a couple of years ago, it was a masterpiece. And the main actor was waaay better than Tom Cruise could ever be.

      Yeah, see, it looks like a good movie, but most movies look good from the trailer. While he as a person disturbs me a great deal, the same would be true of many stars, and I've still watched their movies. I'll see what everyone says when it comes out, because the buzz has been really bad, a good trailer doesn't really overcome that.
