Bush Does Not Have The Support Of His Own Party - Neither Does McCain!

Filed under: Politik > John McCain > Business Blitz

wenn5192581.jpg

More than two-thirds of Republicans voted AGAINST the Bush-backed Wall St. bailout package on Monday, effectively killing it.

What does that say about the President???

And what does this say about John McCain???

McCain was for the bailout and took it very seriously - even suspending campaigning last week to work on the package.

Interesting times we are in!

Even rats know when to jump off a sinking ship.

  2. 2

that does NOT mean the republican party is not supporting mccain.
    just one issue.

  3. 3

your an idiot perez… the only reason for the gov't bailout is for those people who were stupid enough to get a loan they couldn't pay for… most of which were not republicans. and republicans obviously don't want a freaking communist gov't where the gov't owns everything. smart repubs.

  4. 4

You are such an idiot doughboy. This was written by Democrats and Republicans in the Senate. This was just backed by Mr. Bush. He only told Congress he would sign it. You make it sound like this is Bush's plan and you are an idiot. Bush cannot make things he can only approve or veto. Wow are you really this dumb or just a Republican hater.

  5. 5

    i woke up for this?

  6. 6

Fuck, he looks really old in this picture.

  7. 7

I really wish I could hear Ron Paul yell, "I TOLD YOU SO" to the republican party.
He's too cavalier to do that though.
    He knows they already know.
    RON PAUL 2008

  8. 8

    Priceless picture!! HAHAHAHAAHA!

  9. 9

    lol I love it.
If Republicans vote for something Bush proposes they're being partisan, and if they vote against it they're proving their leaders to be failures.

Did you ever think that maybe they're trying to get the best plan together before they push it through? Isn't that their FUCKING JOBS?

  10. 10

    harry - you're really on today. :)

  11. 11

Just send me a check in the mail. even if it is only $2,000. I would still be better off.

  12. 12

Then what does it say for Obama? He was in favor of the plan.

  13. jrnpp says – reply to this

    13

McCain came to last weeks White House meeting called to discuss the crisis and didn't say shit. He offered no advice or solutions. All a political stunt on his part…just one of his many. McCain is like Mr. Magoo, totally confused, feeble and senile.

McCain - " The fundamentals of the economy are strong" LMFAO

    CHANGE = OBAMA / BIDEN !!!

  14. 14

Yep, the first depression since the 1920's

  15. 15

Oh God P, would you stop! We do so support McCain. He was there to make sure our money wasn't given to some yuppy CEO. BLAH BLAH BLAH…But I will say Bush is such a joke! It should have been McCain in 2000!

  16. 16

90 or more Democrats voted against it too, so I guess that means that Democrats don't support Obama either.

  17. 17

Re: amylala – you are just getting up? I'm going to lunch!

  18. Cman says – reply to this

    18

Umm, just out of curiosity, why don't people talk about the 40% of Democrats who voted AGAINST the bailout??? Nancy Pelosi claims to have had the necessary votes on her side of the aisle–but look at the numbers. It was all bull. Tired of the spins and twists these people put out and the way that Perez uses them. Lying is lying. Stick to celeb gossip Perez. Or can we even trust the stuff you put out?????

  19. 19

Republicans don't bend over for our Congresspeople to screw us and then pay them to do it. The fact is that many conservative Americans do NOT want the bailout and we communicate with our Representatives. Doesn't mean we don't support McCain.

  20. 20

I'm soooo glad the bailout was rejected. I agree in that something needs to be done but why all of a sudden when Wall Street and the big CEO's and politicians are affected by the economy the solution is a bail out? What about all of us American's who have ben struggling for years AND LIVING WITHIN OUR MEANS!!! We've never been a priority other than tax time when we're expected to pay! Good, now I think all those CEO's should take their Ferrari's back and all the shit they bought from pay made on loans extended to American's who could not afford it. And if you're upside down on your house and are hoping for the bail out to save you!! HA HA HA… think again, the LAST people benefited from the bailout will be Middle America, we're going to be punished for our bad decisions while the Rich CEOS' get a get out of jail free card. Now all you fucking politicians, get back in there and come up with something better, why are we still listening to Bush?? Oh right, he's still President. As far as I'm concerned, Monica Lewinsky had more president in her than Bush EVER WILL!!!

  21. 21

Perez - this bill was introduced by the White House and rewritten by the Democrat-controlled House. 40% of the Democrats didn't even support it! To blame this on McCain, Bush or the Republicans is short-sighted. This was a cluster-you-know-what on BOTH sides.

  22. 22

I'm done with this fuckin' place. Stupid shit who runs it, has forgotten why it was fun. now he's just another dumb hollywood fuck pushing a political agenda. You should listen to what Elvis said when a reporter asked him about the Vietnam war: "What are you asking me for, I'm just an entertainer"
Thank ya, thank ya very much, Douche

  23. 23

Re: jrnpp – I do agree somewhat about McCain not saying anything…he didn't say much at all, which is a little disappointing…but…all Obama did was be general and say what he "needed" to say. It's all political.

  24. 24

OBAMA WAS FOR IT TOO PEREZ.

  25. 25

    McCain/Palin 08!

  26. 26

It says that both Smoosh and McCrackhead are both big losers!

I watched the debate on Friday and McCain kept using the word "old'. "I'm old" "this pen's old".
he gets older and older the more he's on TV. Give it up fucker! who wants a VP who looks like a hooker?

  27. Yermo says – reply to this

    27

    He looks so old.

  28. 28

it says that this crisis is so SEVERE that it is leading even the most pigheaded man, like Bush, to vote against his own party. clearly the other Republicans are too obsessed with their free-market ideal to make decisions based on the economy's needs as opposed to their own philosophies. McCain and Bush did the right thing by supporting this plan.

  29. 29

Re: mama of 2 – Where's the Red Teddy monster?

  30. 30

YAY IT'S A GOOD DAY TODAY

  31. 31

What does say aboaut Madam Speaker of the house?

    Dodd?

    Frank?

    and the messiah……oh he's present…I forgot…..LOL

  32. 32

….that bailout was only there to protect the raises and salaries of the Bank Management and upper crust….it was their greed that facilitated this mess……they are getting a taste of what they made the "little" man felt like to suffer through poverty…… let them eat cake!

  33. 33

Remember when the towers fell and the fear had the entire county in unison going "BOMB EM!!" well, this seems all too familiar. They need to come up with something that works but maybe they should stay out of it for a minute. Since when does the gov't do great things for it's people as a whole????? It's been a while. What could they be using our fear for????

  34. 34

    Re: cocochic

Cocochic says:the only reason for the gov't bailout is for those people who were stupid enough to get a loan they couldn't pay for… most of which were not republicans.

    Lovesuuu responds:
Cocochic, did you pull that statement out the side of your ass or do you actually have facts to back it up?? So ignorant, PLEASE stay on the Repub side, you fit in perfectly.

  35. Bdub says – reply to this

    35

He doesn't have the backing of his party because this "bailout" was the Bush admin pandering to the left. MY GOD YOU ARE AN IGNORANT FUCK.

  36. 36

Ummmm . . . . 94 Democrats voted no. Pelosi needs to resign or be impeached, and she should take Harry Reid and Barney Frank with her.

  37. 37

    Re: Bobo Dinky

    You go BObo!!!!!

  38. Sgirl says – reply to this

    38

Get your facts straight HOMO! Bush didn't write this shit - Illiterate Democrats did. They are the reason a bailout is needed. A bunch of bleeding heart illiterates who think everyone needs a handout. They got in over their heads in debt and fucked us all. Fuck the bailout. Let it all go down the tubes. My money's safe because I am not a fucking idiot. By the way that fucking idiot Obama Hussein was all for this shit? What does that tell you. The guy's got shit for brains - terrorist mother fucker!

  39. 39

    Bush is a fucking moron.

  40. 40

Um, Perez… 60% of "your democrats" supported the bill… so if you are going by these lame standards set out, they supported Bush.

  41. 41

why no cum drippings out of the corners of his mouth?

  42. 42

It sounds like Pelosi screwed this up. When it went up for vote, the dems obviously thought there were enough votes. She then got up and started bashing bush and the republicans. She screwed this up for us all.
With this bill needing to be bipartisan, why on earth would she start campaigning like that.
    I am PISSED!

  43. 43

    bad picture of w.

  44. 44

WTF else did you expect??? Bush's convoluted idea was shot down for good reasons. Bush is an incompetent, redneck poser who has sucessfully become one of the worst presidents the United States has had so far. When Obama is elected president come Nov. 4th, I hope that Bush will leave office early and crawl back to his home in Texas, never to be heard again from.

  45. 45

Re: harrybalsac – don't you like this one???
    sexy still.

  46. 46

Pelosi made it all political, that is why the Republicans voted it down. The Democrats are just as responsible for this crisis…and that is the TRUTH!

  47. 47

WHAT THIS PROVES IS THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, AND IT'S UNPOPULAR PRESIDENT HAVE ZERO PULL NOW.

    OBAMA 08

  48. 48

I miss President Reagan…i was only in Kindergarten but I always thought he was a nice old man and I wanted to give him a hug.

  49. 49

Yet another stupid statement by a Liberal (coming very common these days). The bill was written by both parties. You are a very pathetic little fat man Perez. Your stupidity is oozing.

  50. 50

You're so uneducated, Perez. The Democrats are the majority in Congress….. both the Senate and the House of Representatives….. part of the Legislative Branch. The vote was defeated in the House. 94 Democrats voted against it. They voted the bill down. The majority defeated themselves. 1 + 1 = 2

  51. 51

Re: mama of 2 – well, it kind of does make it evident they are not supporting McCain.
    -
Not that I feel McCain can be held responsible. However, its pretty straightforward, the Republican senators did not want to commit to the bill.

  52. 52

And what about Obama?! HE WAS FOR IT TOO!!! if you are going to play in the realm of politics you better get it all in the post… dumbass

  53. 53

    Re: jrnpp
The fundamentals are STRONG! Meaning that people still want to work hard and create businesses, thus creating jobs!

I would write more but I am laughing because I just remembered what Biden told Katie Couric - you know, Roosevelt appearing on television during the great depression, LOL…now THAT is SNL worthy!

  54. 54

God, Bush looks sooo old in this picture. He has not aged well.

  55. 55

poor guy looks really worn, i kinda feel bad for him… wait no i dont.

  56. 56

    no more politics.
    this used to be fun.

  57. 57

Here are the opposing votes, so stop BLAMING one party or the other in the House of Representatives: "More than two-thirds (66%) of Republicans and 40% of Democrats OPPOSED the bill".
The scariest part of all: can we honestly say that any Republican, or any Democrat, really knows what to do about this horrible mess? I think the problem is bigger and deeper than anyone can fix, and in actuality, can not be repaired with one big bail-out?
Where is our leadership? Where are the answers? I honetly think that NO ONE can solve such an overwhelming mess. Can we honestly believe ANYTHING that comes out of Washington .. from either party?! (Especially in an election year). Really really frightening.

  58. 58

Re: LULU~* – this is one issue.
that does not mean that republicans stop supporting their candidate over one issue.

  59. 59

Re: cocochic – Er, um, this has been a predominently Republican government for the past 8 years - 8 years with Pres. & VP, 6 years with Republican House for 6 or the 8 years.
    -
One question — are you better off now? You're party has been in power a long time — are you better off?
    -
Are your parents better off? Are your children better off? Do you have some kind of magic grocery store where prices have not risen lately?

  60. Ron says – reply to this

    60

almost 100 of the democrats didn't vote for it either shithead. Did you read it, I read it and it is not a fix. They need to put their stupid heads together and do something for once without pointing fingers back and forth like everyone on this board. Do what the American people want, we voted for the idiots, yes Reps and Demos alike, if they can't fix it we need to vote these idiots out from the bottom to the top. Quit playing politics folks they are playing with our money and I mean our money. I wish they would quit giving their "it's their fault" speeches and lock theirselves up until they have a solution. This is stupid.

  61. 61

Re: KitKat1 – Honestly KitKat, Joe Biden's comment about Roosevelt being on TV was a stupid comment, but honestly, IT IS THE LEAST OF OUR WORRIES RIGHT NOW.

  64. 64

    Re: cocochic

How the fuck do YOU know that most of the people who can't pay for their loans are NOT republicans?? what a dumbass thing to say

Re: Ron – You are so right, Ron. Find an answer. Stop the bickering and blaming. Come up with something.
However, with that said, I find myself losing more and more faith in our central government .. it seems we are drowning out here all by ourselves!

  70. 70

REPUBLICAN'S HAVE PROVEN TODAY THAT THEY HAVE FALLEN.. PEOPLE WHO R IN FAVOR OF REPUBLICANS KNOW THAT THE ONLY REASON THE BILL DIDN'T PASS IS BECAUSE THEIR FEELINGS GOT HURT BY THE HOUSE SPEAKER.

    OBAMA 08'

  71. 71

Perez is a perfect example of how biased the mainstream media is….. Obama was for this plan as well, and almost as many Dems rejected it. What a bunch of horseshit. Barney Frank should be fired and not allowed to step foot in Congress. He's a thieving, lying, fag.

  72. 72

I want to say also, I don't want to bail out those jackasses that bought houses they couldn't afford - I don't owe them a damn house. They gambled on the ARM financing, flipping the house - and they lost.
    -
Should not come out of my pocket — what I would be willing to do is loan money to the Wall Street Investment Houses - at a good interest rate - so I get something back on the deal . . .

  73. 73

perez you should stick with cokeheads and crotch shots, your great at being a wealth of useless information, don't embarrass yourself darling, you dont have the smarts to tackle real world issue.

    This has gone beyond parties.

    Re: Bobo Dinky

WHO THE FUCK CARES WHAT HIS MIDDLE NAME IS…GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR IGNORANT ASS AND LISTEN…….IN 10 YEARS MCCAIN WILL HAVE DIED OF OLD AGE…THEN WHAT? PALIN'S DUMB ASS? UM…NO THANKS. THATS A STUPID COP OUT THING TO SAY. BARACK OBAMA'S MOTHER IS WHITE YOU STUPID FUCK. 10 YEARS? SHIT, AT THIS RATE IN TWO YEARS YOUR DADDY OR ONE OF YOUR UNCLES WILL BE JUMPING OFF A ROOF OR SHOOTING THEIR WHOLE FAMILY TO DEATH BECAUSE ALL THE MONEY IS GONE…….

  75. 75

That was a good lesson in economy for the whole country. Next time you VOTE, vote for people who are really going to fight for you. But I think is like a vaccine. Bush has alienated a whole generation and his reputation will live for posterity. War, bankruptcies, the world hating us, and the church dictating laws. I don't think Republicans will recover from this. Unless they leave their evil ways and move forward to the 21st century.

  76. 76

Re: KERNBUZZ – The only reply you can come up with is…"wash your snapper" . Wow, forget trying to debate, or facts, or reasoning, just tell someone 'online' that their snatch stinks. You're a friggin' genius. You should be running Obama's campaign.

Yeah it is! So is what Tina Fey does on SNL. Placing blame should have been held off on until the bill passed. For Pelosi to suggest that not one single Democrat has had a hand in this mess is beyond ABSURD.

  82. 82

I bet about 80 % of my rather well-to-do German friends and colleagues do NOT have any credit cards! We pay CASH! And if we can t afford anything, we WAIT until we ve saved engough to buy it!
We do not live ON CREDIT so much in Europe as Americans seem to do!
I think this is ONE of the many things that s gone completely out of control and lead to personal and economic desaster in the USA: Living and consuming EVERTHING ON CREIT!
Well, NOW you - and the world - have to PAY!

  83. 83

If you honestly think Obama is going to be the savior of America and pull us out of this, you must be DREAMING. Yes…he'll tax every single company so they will cut jobs.. OH YEAH! That will certainly create jobs! lol…Funny how anyone questioning Obama's record is called racist or ignorant. He has some shady associations…more so than some of the loathed Republicans.

  86. 86

WHAT SEN. OBAMA SUPPORTED… IS A BILL TO TRY TO PREVENT US FROM FALLING INTO A "GREAT DEPRESSION" YET AGAIN! THATS WHY HE SUPPORTED THIS BILL WITH SPECIFIC PROVISIONS. REPUBLICANS ARE TRY'N TO SPIN THIS AS THE DEMOCRATS FAULT AND THAT SIMPLY A "LIE". REPUBLICANS IN THE HOUSE GOT ALL "EMOTIONAL" AND DECIDED TO GO AGAINST BOTH THIER PRESIDENT… G.W. BUSH & IT'S CANDIDATE SEN. McCAIN, AND VOTE AGAINST THIS BILL. THAT IS WHAT PEREZ IS POINTING OUT YOU ALL. SO DON'T INVOLVE SEN. OBAMA IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTIES SHORT-COMINGS.

The whole political system in America has eroded to nothing more than political corruption and in that respect it is hard to distinguish between the Reps and Dems!

  89. 89

Yes, George W. looks really old in this picture. Being the U.S. president has rapidly aged every single man who has held the job. Can John McCain hold up under such stress and that rapid-aging process? Then, we get Sarah Palin? HELP US.

  92. 92

Re: Bavaria – So right, Bavaria, unfortunately. We Americans want instant gratification instead of waiting until we can afford things.

  93. 93

You are an idiot. The democrats amended and approved this bill. EXCEPT for NINETY FIVE of them. Who could have passed it to make pelosi good. This bill would have saved Bawney Fwank from having to ADMIT he did wrong fighting mcCain on regulating the mortgage market-a PRIVATE industry not under Bush or anyone's control- and from investigating Dodd and Obama for being on the DOLE of fannie and freddie. McCain may be the only CLEAN one on all of that mess- in both parties. If the DEMS are such BIG uniters, why was PELOSI such a BITCH in her news conference, taunting them before the vote- oh wait- you probably didn't see it. You get what you ASK for- you promote incredibly nasty partisanship and then act surprised when the dems want to looks like angels but the republicans don't agree with their version of the bailout. Screw them ALL. Let the companies FAIL and let the market sort it out.

  96. 96

he's obviously not a loser or else he wouldnt have been elected TWICE. sure, he's made some crappy decisions, but you can't act like everyone hates him because the majority of the country voted for him twice

  97. 97

Democrats have control of the House. 95 of them jumped ship. It will be interesting to see how many are up for re-election this year. Now, Republicans seem to be steering this thing. They can get anything they want at this point. Everyone on Capitol Hill is watching their personal fortunes disappear. If there's any conciliation, it's in knowing they're all taking a bath.

  98. 98

You fool! This is a Democrat debacle - a Democrat plan for bail out and the Democrat House didn't pass it. Who's the failure????
