More than two-thirds of Republicans voted AGAINST the Bush-backed Wall St. bailout package on Monday, effectively killing it.

McCain was for the bailout and took it very seriously - even suspending campaigning last week to work on the package.

Republicans don't bend over for our Congresspeople to screw us and then pay them to do it. The fact is that many conservative Americans do NOT want the bailout and we communicate with our Representatives. Doesn't mean we don't support McCain.
I'm soooo glad the bailout was rejected. I agree in that something needs to be done but why all of a sudden when Wall Street and the big CEO's and politicians are affected by the economy the solution is a bail out? What about all of us American's who have ben struggling for years AND LIVING WITHIN OUR MEANS!!! We've never been a priority other than tax time when we're expected to pay!
