Did the Disney stars of High School Musical get a huge raise?
We doubt it, but it looks like Vanessa Hudgens is on a spending spree!
The 19 year old, who's famous for being Zac Efron's girlfriend and that little incident she had with the leaked naked photos, has just purchased a house in Studio City, California.
According to reports, Miz Hudgens bought a 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath, 5,200 sq ft house in Studio City for $2,750,000.
Who does a 19 year old need a house that big?????

Vanessa mentioned her new house purchase during an interview at the Teen Choice Awards back in August.
Back then she was in the process of purchasing the home, but now it seems she's finally closed on it.
We hope she had enough money to pay for the place in cash. Or hopefully she has some future gigs in place, because High School Musical sequels will only last so long!

Perez, she comes from a big family with lots of brothers and sisters. $2.75 mil is a good deal when you consider 3/2's in the valley are listed at $1.2 mill.

Not only doesn't ANYONE need a house that big, she'll never be there to enjoy it! Maybe one weekend a month or something crazy, but I have never understood why stars buy such extravagant houses only to let them sit vacant 10 months out of the year. Can anyone say status symbol?
It sounds like a lovely house, but that is pretty ridiculous for a 19-year-old. Unless she's planning to have others live with her, in which case I guess it makes sense.

She probably bought it for her family. Though I wonder how long it'll be before she has to sell it.
It's a huge investment. Houses are selling cheap now, and a few years from now she'll be able to sell it for much more, and pocket a few million. And she gets to live in a killa house in the meantime. She looks great in this pic!
So Efron's Filipino beard is turning out to be another Imelda Marcos, with the shoe obsession and all. Oh well, she can always sell them on consignment once the money runs out…..
