The special garnered 870,000 viewers, and was just ahead of America's Next Top Model, which attracted 740,000.
AND it was up in viewership from the Katy Perry-themed premiere! Amazeballs!

great show. A must see and you can take the kids too. I've seen it twice and would gladly go again.
YOU GUYS THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW, i highly recommend it; even if you dont like broadway or musicals, or even the lion kings. its awesome

AWESOME. I guess we'll be making a trip to Vegas next year. Seen the show twice and took my then 5 year old. She loved it too.
Even though it's a phenominal show, it's too old and has toured for too long. This is a set-up for an epic fail in Las Vegas.
I saw this show at Disney a few years ago and thought it was quite a waste of my precious Disney Time. I could have been standing in the Space Moutain line or something. But then I don't really like musicals.
